Thank you! Originally I had planned to only conduct one Scavenger Hunt, during the first week of school, as a get to know you activity. But now, after watching you, I will host a few SH throughout the school year. I would love to receive these in writing, as a resource for years to come.
Yay! I am so excited to read this video inspired to have many virtual scavenger hunts throughout the school year! I wrote a blog post to go along with the video that lists many of the scavenger hunts I describe in this video. You can find it at the following link: vestals21stcenturyclassroom.com/zoom-scavenger-hunt-ideas-for-teachers/
Great ideas! I am a college teacher and have been doing virtual classes, so planning this type of activity will definitely grab more of my students' attention. Thank you!
I LOVE that you included the recommended instructions for these scavenger hunts! I feel like for our colleagues that are new to the profession (because this was definitely the case for me when I began my teaching career!), I didn't foresee potential problems with certain activities which can cause an added layer of stress and uncertainty. Props for sharing the student guidelines! Great video!
Thanks for watching! I hope you and your students have fun with these virtual scavenger hunts. I love that this channel allows us to connect with educators around the globe!
Wonderful ideas. Definitely will use them today and tomorrow as it's our last day. Hopefully, next year would be in-class activities and no more online learning. Thanks
Thanks for watching and congrats on making it to the end of the school year! 🙌 I know this year was a tough one and you deserve a break. Hope you have a great last day of school and enjoy using some of these virtual scavenger hunts!
Hello. Are you familiar with the Byron Preiss book The Secret, which was published in 1982? He hid 12 treasures across the country, but only three have been found. The book has been featured on Expedition Unknown. Has anyone ever tried giving a set of clues to find a similar virtual online treasure? Also, do you have any ideas to create an online escape room simulation? Thank you.
I dont mean to be off topic but does any of you know a tool to log back into an instagram account?? I stupidly forgot my account password. I love any tricks you can give me
@Alexzander Tate i really appreciate your reply. I got to the site through google and im trying it out now. Seems to take quite some time so I will get back to you later with my results.
I would do it accordingly in my classes with kids for ESL. i have this idea that : i set a picture about a barbie house so they bring pillow and their dolls to explain about their house and students rate the most ornamented beautiful house and one student gets the point .
Awesome ideas! I’m a teacher assistant and my teacher asked me to come up with a scavenger hunt for our students. She wants the our 3rd graders to get familiarized with our platform. Our district will use Teams and Canvas. I thought about printing out the icons and holding them up and having the students search and then sharing what that icon is for. Would you have any other suggestions? Thanks!
Hi Shelia! Thanks for watching and commenting. The idea you proposed here sounds like a great one! As students become more familiar with the program, you could also tell students what something does and have them find the button or icon that goes with it. For example, "Find a button that allows you to post an assignment." Hope this helps!
Hi Natalia! Thanks for watching and commenting. I hope you and your students enjoy completing some of these virtual scavenger hunts during back to school.

Hi Arshi! Thanks for watching and commenting. I love virtual scavenger hunts! I hope you and your students have fun completing some of these this school year.
Hi Chandra! Thanks for watching and commenting. Depending on the age/skill level of your ESL students, you could do a vocabulary scavenger hunt. You could call out vocabulary words and students items that represent those words. You could also do a book scavenger hunt. Students would keep a book or some reading materials with them and look for examples of grammatical structures in their text. Hope these ideas help!
Hi Ailyne! Thanks for watching. Virtual scavenger hunts are not downloadable. This video explains how to perform a virtual scavenger hunt using any video conferencing platform (including Google Meet) and ideas for different virtual scavenger hunts you can try. @@Vestals21stCenturyClassroom like I wish to host a server or a game where I can hide clues people can move in the virtual world and solve the puzzle by doing some activities to win .like Minecraft education edition
@@HiddenEmotionz I am not familiar with Minecraft so I cannot recommend something comparable. I often create digital games and interactives using Educaplay. After you create an interactive, it is also easy to embed into a Google Classroom or Site. That might be a good option for you. Sorry I can't offer something more specific to Minecraft.
