I am seeking truth and I just got to know abt how Guru Nanak said that God can be obtained without being a monk or staying away from normal family life yet the similar type of bhakti practice is adopted excluding the monk part or family distraction thing thou common thing is both have truth and that yog and meditation can provide the divine and knowing the meditation part is important to but even the grt hindu Vedas says that physical practices is not ultimate practice, yet they can be helpful in finding out the God.

There is really no way for you to be doing bhakti and be secular at the same time. And by secular, I don't mean no religion but not having any sort of belief in a reality beyond the physical and material or forces greater than you. Or else you'll fall into being devotional to false gurus and pedestalizing humans.
