Do you have any information about Elementary Education in Finland?
This focused mainly on the Middle and High School level.

A bit later but if you are still interested.
Elementary school is generally very similar but less subjects and less student in same class room. Subjects are added slowly over time while students first learn basic skills in reading, writing and math. But even here is a lot freedom for schools to choose their own policy.

BTW. I do drink a lot. But, as I've learned we drink less than the avg in Europe when it comes to GDP. (as if it makes it any less worse)

I'm pretty sure that when Finnish education was at is babyfeet so to speak (1950s or so), you wouldn't wanted that. You've had physical punishment for bad behaviour. Nowadays it seems that the pupils have more power than the teachers.

More impressive is the amount of alcohol we drink ;D but recent studies do show that smart people drink more than the rest on average..

Here is food for thought: Perhaps the education system is not a cause, but rather an effect. Perhaps, Finnish people are simply intelligent.

Definitely no. You can be born the smartest and most gifted child, but if socialisation and the educational system are bad, it's very likely you end up wasting your potential.(That aren't all factors but significant ones at least). Finns simply seem to make the most out of every single childs potential - which is (or rather should be) the sole purpose of education
