The line closer to the highway is the A line and that has a steeper gradient... that was the line that was laid first... The B line is the one that is through the forest and was laid later... Both A and B lines come together at all the stations in between Palakkad and Coimbatore...
Have been travelling to palakkad and coimbatore very frequently in car but never thought train travel would be so beautiful. Will definitely try next time.

That siva temple is Dharmalingeswarar Temple.The temple construction works are going on. I have visited the temple a couple of weeks ago. There was mist everywhere, even inside the temple. It is also a beautiful place for rail faning.
