My wife was diagnosed with this. She skipped radiation, chemo, surgery and all the side effects of those and took oral gallium maltolate instead. The tumor shrank and completely disappeared in 5 months and has not recurred. Drs and City of Hope are astonished.

I had the ALPPS surgery on the liver. They resected 60%, but it is clear of tumor now.
I ended up having the 5X5 radiation on the primary tumor in the colon. I later had that section of the colon resected.
I will have my 2 month MRI next week to make sure there are no new tumors. I am feeling pretty good physically and mentally. So fingers crossed the MRI comes back clear :)
I just lost my father for rectal cancer 😢 How before the radiation his body was clean of metastasis and just after radiation treatment for 5 weeks, it spread to the liver and lungs, there was no time even to start chemotherapy ???????? 😭😭
Brother I'm really sorry for your loss. My grandfather too is suffering from Rectal Cancer. Doctors have suggested for Chemo+Radiotherapy together. What was in your case? Radiotherapy alone??
Diagnosed with rectal cancer on december 12, 2023. The mass is on my anal verge. I am scheduled to start the 5x5 at the beginning of February and about a month after that is complete i will start 6 3 week cycles of chemo.....the hipe is that the mass shrinks enough that the can remove it and repair the rectum without me having to get a permanent colostomy bag.....

@jobehayes8444 radiation was successful in that it shrunk the mass so there is no more pain...i am currently 3 weeks into my 18 week chemo treatment....some days good others not so much... thank you for asking.
thanks for sharing this ..my wife has stage 3 rectal but they did 5 weeks of radiation and chemo with a follow up chemo for slight mets to lymphs. I wish I knew about this sooner..That took place last summer and fall and we are still on a watch and wait scenario...Her tumor is squamous cell so I don't know if the 5x5 protocol would work .... I hope this works for you ..best wishes
