S1 - Ep 44 - The drive through Hermanus, Kleinmond and Gordon’s Bay!

- After breakfast in Gansbaai, we started on the road back home. But we had to stop off at Hermanus which is such a beautiful town! So many changes over the years, especially the Waterfront which was beautiful to see on a busy bustling Sunday. We had ice cream at the Kleinmond Harbour and took a scenic drive all along the spectacular coastline all the way to Gordon’s Bay. We passed through Betty’s Bay and Rooi Els. These are all very cool places to visit with beautiful beaches and quite a few interesting shops and eateries to support. #DustBugs #adventuretravel #southafrica #hermanus #kleinmond #gordonsbay

We watched this over breakfast this morning. That's the route I used to cycle as a young man! Your channel made me homesick and guess what! After leaving SA a quarter century ago, we bought tickets to Cape Town for Nov! It'll be the 1st time there for my partner and she's very excited (and so am I)!

We just live in a beautiful part of the world. I dont know if you are perhaps doing an episode on Hermanus later on but you should make a turn at their railway station. Hermanus Station is the only railway station in the world to never have had a train arrive or leave from it. The Hermanus Tourism Office now operates from this lovely old building.
Now that is wildly interesting, I have never heard that before! Hermanus is another one of those towns that's just too big for us to explore on our travels, but luckily it's close enough that we can take a drive out there any weekend. We may just decide to do that soon. Thank you so much for that tip. 😁
