@@jacksugden8190 All the actors play with their voice and personnality, with their face and their body too, of course, but that doesn"t mean that they play "themselves".
What a great movie. I knew Ernest borgnine was in the movie. But Charles Bronson ? Wow 😮 that was a real treat seeing him. The dialogue in this movie was great. 👏👏👏
Sometimes on life's journey, you just gotta return to Broderick Crawford...why?.....watch this excellent thriller and find out...then watch his Oscar-winning masterpiece, All The King's Men (1949), for acting at its best. The script by William Bowers, is superb with great camera work by Joe Walker...a real treat from yesteryear!
There are things you don't notice the first time you watch this movie nor would you if you didn't watch it soon after the first time. I won't spoil it but try watching it a second time and you will see what I mean. Pretty cool if you can catch it. And had you when watching it the first time it would leave you waiting for the hammer to drop and detract from all the mystery which you won't be aware of till the film maker wants you to know.
hahaha "The next day she left for Canada with my cufflinks, my car, and a mink dyed hamster coat" priceless, only in the 50's could you get one of those lol. Can you imagine how many hamsters it would take to make a coat? The smell and noise in that hamster farm would drive you mad.
Seen this film B4 but watching it again well worth watching.😊.. He was lookin 4 a job at 20.50 said maybe I like hard work.. The Irish were never afraid of hard work.. They do like 2 Drink & that takes Money... When I was in London guys I worked 4 Employed Alcoholics .. They were Always in Work on Time cause they Needed the Job , with out it u Can't Drink .. Funny way 2 Look at it but its True.😮.. Gambling & Drugs are Different u Get Theifs in that Game.😢..
Writing a script for fast-talking Brod meant many weekends work for the writers...the result? An actor who steals virtually every scene and, more importantly, always convinces, that Holy Grail of every actor.
The snappy dialog in this movie is first-rate. And nobody delivers better than Broderick Crawford.
Very good film in a very good copy, And Broderick Crawford is perfect as usual.
Thanks.
Broderick Crawford was great in all the movies he did
He played himself in all his works, same voice and personality

Love Borgten. He was great as Fatso Judson.
The frequency of ads ruined a good movie. Absolutely ridiculous.
