Finally have the time and resources to do my 64 step side. You videos have been a life saver as I am now replacing the floor panels, floor support bracket, floor pillars and inner and outer rockers.
Great looking results! Especially considering that you had to form the floor patch from scratch. This helps demystify a similar repair in my future. Thanks for sharing.
Nice work. I like the fact that just because you might have a big piece of repair panel you only use and cut out what is necessary. Retain as much of the original metal as you can. You've got yourself another subscriber.
I like your methods of doing things. I never considered flattening out pieces and using them for a template. The sequence of doing replacement is very helpful. Get the door right then the rocker. My rockers are rusted out very bad I’ll probably be doing a lot of bracing and replacing before I can get the door right. Thanks for very well produced videos.
when I retire in 14-15 years lol...I'm moving to TN...definitely looking you up! I have two old vehicles in need of door attentionYo, from NY!!! Thanks for the great videos! -RJ
I’m assuming the 13 people who gave this video a thumbs down can do better work than this?? Well I’d like to see the builds of those 13 people. You do great work Gibson. Definitely a lot better than all these so called EXPERTS!!
This is great, I need to replace the same area in my Wagoneer. Probably the most challenging thing it needs doing but seeing the process gives me hope it's doable. I'll have to document mine when I get to that point.
its so fun to watch your videos. very inspiring man. i have watched everything i can find that you have posted. great job.very good work bro... thank you
I have not heard that song that was playing in the beginning in so long ..Also my confidence grows each time I watch you weld and cut .I never new the chipmunks sang tear in my beer 🍺 ha ha good video
I love the tiny hole saw for spot weld cutting. I might need one myself, and have never seen one for sale, where'd you find it? Great work you're doing too by the way.
How did you put the bend in where the channel is, that is a mystery ? I am wondering how you were able to do the 90 degree bend on part of the piece, but you stopped and did the transition to the door channel that goes down at a 45
I would still jump around with the welds it just keeps the heat down, it really doesn't matter if it warps a little on the floor, but welding it nice slow and easy makes for good practice on the outside panels
you would know if you took off a rocker box, if you did not, then it does not have one. (I wanted to make sure my comment was not taken as being rude.) thanks.

I love the tiny hole saw for spot weld cutting. I might need one myself, and have never seen one for sale, where'd you find it? Great work you're doing too by the way.
This tool was hard to find at first, but I did pick on up at carquest now you can find one at harbor freight or northern tools
88,000 views, nice to know I'm not alone. Wish me luck!
That's amazing work, after you flattened the original backing steel, how did you know how/where to bend it back? By using the bend lines?
Yes by using the bend lines
How did you put the bend in where the channel is, that is a mystery ? I am wondering how you were able to do the 90 degree bend on part of the piece, but you stopped and did the transition to the door channel that goes down at a 45
More then likely I use a hammer, vise, and a dolly. Just a little to far back to remember lol
If your near Georgia,I could use your help!!!!!
Where did you get your kick panels at I’m having a hard time finding them Thank you!!!
Kick panels came from Classic Parts
I went with 18 gauge on the floor instead of 16 like I showed in the video, cause it was easy to work with
Hey man DAC is the man I did mind it.
What kind of welder were you using?
Brent Curry Lincoln pro mig 135
Thank
nice job
Nice job good detail and closeups (Don't turn down the tunes love em) See Yea :-)
when your welding in the floor patches do you have to jump around like on a cab corner or can you run some longer beads?
I would still jump around with the welds it just keeps the heat down, it really doesn't matter if it warps a little on the floor, but welding it nice slow and easy makes for good practice on the outside panels
Can u tell me what make/model welder you used here
This is a Lincoln pro mig 135
You in Tennessee
Thanks
does the 69-72 pickup have rocker boxes like a Blazer?
Don't know to much about that
you would know if you took off a rocker box, if you did not, then it does not have one. (I wanted to make sure my comment was not taken as being rude.) thanks.
