@ 10:00 an F-35 doing aerial site clearance work at RAF Dustbowl (aka Marham) @11:30 and 27:50 that is the SRVL approach developed by the RAF / FAA for higher weight landings on the QE carriers. Without the heavy braking ... For me the gem was the fully kitted Hawker Hunter in a stunning digital camouflage although the Tonkas in their final year still look mean bastards ... Nice set of aircraft - thanks for the upload
Great video David! Some great footage of the F35 but I still love the Tonka. Nice Hunter in Aggressor role - had a look at their website - I didn't know there were so many still flying.
Not knowing which F35 variant this was, I DID NOT expect that at 9:30 ! Great video! (I have yet to see one of these flying in the U.S.A., but apparently Europe is crawling with them and letting people take pix over the fence LOL).
The stability of the f35 in vstol mode is stunning - rock steady - child's play to hover and land. Almost looks fake it's so steady. Can't wait to see fully loaded takeoffs from HMS Q
I was in air cadets when I was 16 I always remember going to raf Marham on summer camp I had a great time at the base I was in the control tower at the time it was a fab week!!!
Is there a best time to come and view the aircraft. Lakenheath and their F15's are very much hit and miss, although having said that, we did see the F22 and last week at Mildenhall 3 Rockwell B1's among osprey. Yeah we love fast and military lol
RAF Marham will be The Homestation of the F-35 Lightning II. Both Versions A and B will be based at Marham in the Future, But The Tornado GR-4 is also a Very good Aircraft. The Retraining of Tornado Pilots would be made Between 1980 - 1999 at RAF Cottesmore in Rutland. At RAF Cottesmore Have been RAF Tornados IDS Tornados from Germany and Tornado IDS from the Italy.
Never understood why they didn't look at a Naval variant of the Tornado - accepted that the size of flight deck on a carrier would be larger than for a VTOL aircraft ... but the Tornado even today is a formidable weapon system, despite its vintage.
Tornado inst stealth or have DAS with SAM systems now having way more missile range than SEAD aircraft it's not a good idea. Tornado would require a carrier with a catapult.
Our two aircraft carriers to cut cost were not built with cats and traps, which if they did, they could carry and launch F14's to F35A, at the moment the carriers are helicopter carriers sadly
No problem, Meerten. Just a splinter camouflage pattern. The aircraft can be used for adversary training. Russia for example uses splinter camouflage patterns. theaviationist.com/2012/02/05/splinter-su35/
One F-35 against ten hunters or tornados and the F-35 pilot won't even break a sweat...Sorry boys, we have the Yankees stuff now, and America the beautiful doesn't fight fair. The United States is pissed if they can't win 30 to 1...

The hunter is a stunning aircraft, everything about it is just right.
Nice to see the hunter there. Where abouts were you watching to see these taxi and takeoffs, is it white lane? Are you allowed in there

F35 can take out a sukhoi su35 easily America only given U.K. The f35 greatest allies much love from London
Great video footage thank you .Whats with the urban camo on the hunter btw ?
The Hunter along with the Spitfire, in my view, have wonderful, classic lines.

I'd say it's the opposite, rarely see anything at Marham, LN is constant
Interesting video thanks, plenty of excavators there the building works must be very extensive.
blimey how long does it take for a plane to taxi to runway at marham. lol.
F35 Is one hell of a leaf blower LOL :-)

I wasn't aware we'd bought the A. Only the B I thought?
Where are you stood and parked when taking this video?
Hawker Hunter what a beautiful aircraft & MADE IN BRITAIN

as a bomber? sure, as fleet defence? not so much.

Is the Hunter based at Marham as a goodwill project of the staff?
No. It is based at RAF Scampton.

Thanks. And why the special paint scheme?

Good video, where’s the last section filmed from.Is this a runway 01 landing?
Yes.
Nice catch of the Hawker.
It was a bit further up from white lane, at the time it was ok to go in there, it's not available at the moment.

That"s one way to sweep the runway clean,!!!
That first plane took forever to take off. Remind me of the Prawlers
Brilliant
Where’s the Hunter from?
Operated by HHA www.hunterteam.com
What a beautiful Hunter... Much prettier than the F35
:-)
F-35B comes with a tornado mode.
I had no idea the Hunters are still in active service as aggressors.
The F 35 is no looker that's for sure
RAF Building Site
For how old the Tonkas now are they still look awesome unlike that horrible new F35
