I saw this video ( it’s 2019) and was in the market for a good used car. I have two kids in college so, used car shopping I went. I put this year and model on the list and I fell in love with it. Drive better than the Lexus I test drove. Needless to say, I bought the Passat.
James Farmer the car is doing fine. Just FYI parts and some repairs can be expensive. The car had around 100k miles on it when I bought it. Like most cars, when it gets around 100k, you will start putting money into it. (new timing chain, new suspension, etch)
Jetta is at 98k and the rabbit is somewhere around 76. They never break and aren't going anywhere any time soon so I always have this mentality of I'll make a video when I feel like it haha.
I drove the 4 cylinder 2014 model and i must say it is very different from our 2013 2.5. It has more kick off the light and somewhat lighter steering. Overall fun to drive in my opinion.
The 2.5 didn't feel nearly as strained as I was expecting it to in this car! VW did an excellent job tuning it! I haven't driven a 1.8T but I would miss the 5 cylinder roar.
Oh yeah the 2.5 does have a unique sound to it. Plenty of people complain about this car, but i think is is an excellent vehicle. Once you drive the 1.8T i think you will enjoy it also.

How has it held up? I’m a college student to and need a car that’s gonna drive well and be reliable

I have the same exact model and color as well. I absolutely fell in love with this car!
How has it held up for you?
@@nicholasbaker2904 i have a cadillac now, but I had no complaints
This car is luxury sports car I just got it love it
Speaking of Volkswagen. Do you plan on making any tours/ updates of the Jetta or rabbit anytime soon?

You should drive the 5 speed manual version. It's so much fun!
Didn’t even know the Passat came with a 2.5l engine haha I would assume their pretty reliable then my Jetta has been bulletproof so far
2.5 is awesome. One of the most reliable engines VW ever built. Economical and a decent amount of torque, definitely not a 2.0T.
