Rex then theri then spino (for all and every boss fight).but for dragon the rex is not the best For me I go with theris or tek rexes because they are the best for all boss frights While spinos is for boss fights with water.and megatheruim for broodmother. But in general (for meat runs) gigas or super mutated theris (with a stack of 80 mut in health and a stack of 92 mut in melee). A non mutated tek rex is a bit better than a non mutated theri with veggies cakes but the rex is much worse to control so not the best for meat runs.but in boss fights(other than the dragon and the king titan) its probably the best because he has a higher base health and melee.about 400 higher health than the spino ,basically if a rex has 30k the theri will have about 25k the spino will have 19to20k. So you will need a lot of mutations to get the spino health to the rex or theri or theri +veggie cakes.so if there is no water in the arena and without much mutations, using the spino against alpha bosses is not a good idea especially with single player settings off wich is what I play with.also allosaurus is not good for boss fights ,an army of yutyrannus is not good to use in boss fights because they attack at half the speed of the theri and the spino both attack faster and more While the spino can even attack faster than theri because they have the water buff same as shadowmane wich are also amazing but I forgot to mention earlier. Reaper kings are also very good in general but. They are not the best for boss fights because they take normal damage

As someone who loves Abberation, I’m going to tell you a good metal farming strategy I found with the karkinos. You have to drop the anky by the metal for a few times until the metal and anything in the anky’s inventory weighs him down entirely. Then pick him up with the karkinos. Now get something like a lystro, or dung beetle, or just something relatively harmless. Now when your near a metal node, put down the anky next to it. Now tell it to attack the lystro, and quickly drag the lystro next to the anky, close enough that he swings, but try to avoid letting him hit the lystro. If you do it right, he’ll miss, and harvest the metal instead, dispute being weighed down. Just put him on passive and pick up the lystro when you want to move to another.
I know it’s probably a bit faster, but being able to do it without getting off is very satisfying to me. Also I think it is faster once you get god at it. At first it’s slower.
Flying on a bird is cool, sure, but there's just something unique about riding a gas-powered, obese bug over the skies of planet Earth as you merrily make your way to the next supply drop that simply cannot be replicated by an Argie.
For me the following are used: Pteranodon - Just for early game - doesn't carry much but allows you to snatch valuable resources from aggro creatures Ravager - For carrying stuff around your base, the greatest tame for base management, can fit mostly trough double door (Pteras can too but these guys carry much more) Basilisk - I've used them on Fjordur's Amethyst cave. Cave specialist Quetzal - These can carry a lot of anything and are very reliable at doing that. Have you ever harvested wood in Redwoods with a chainsaw? Wyvern - Don't underestimate these, they don't have the best weight stat but are fast and hard to defeat by wildlife. For me also the most used tame for grabbing another dinos Honorable mentions: Gasbags - Can carry much but movement isn't precise at all. If you can use a Quetz, it becomes obsolete by them Argentavis - If you get access to any kind of Wyvern first, I've never spent time to tame them. While Wyverns don't have the weight reduction for metal, Ankys do thus you can have metal in your carried Anky and still enjoy the weight reduction and Wyverns are both faster and better at dealing with nasty creatures around the resource deposits Griffin - With netting not that hard to tame Tapejara - Don't forget on these. I also use them to carry stuff around base if base's layout permits so

I remember abusing the teleport mechanic on split-screen PS4, when you’re too far away from the host. My brother on a wyvern, really fast, me on an argy, with all the goods, teleporting to him every once in a while.

I feel like this was the absolute worst in aberration, at the borders of certain biomes. I’ve experienced undermapping and worse there.
How was the Tek Stryder not even mentioned? Base weight is 1250 plus there’s the saddle bags attachment that reduces the weight of everything in the game by 65%. AND it can be linked to a tek dedicated storage for functionally infinite weight of one particular resource
The same reason stuff like the Basilisk or the Karkinos are so low on the list while Argentavis is no. 1: because people vote based on what they tame the most. Very few people have ever tamed a Basilisk, Karkinos or Tek Strider in their lives but almost everyone gets an Argentavis so they know what it's worth. I'm honestly surprised Gasbags and Maewings are so high on the list, shows how favored "fliers" are on this game, the actual weight doesn't matter, only how far and fast I can move.
Maybe the moschops with its 300 weight has better weight than the tek stryder that has 1000 weight more. And the bronto also That's normal because any beach bob can vote so there may be wrong things

Totally agree. On Genesis 2, I used a Maewing to grab loot drops and kept a stationary Gasbag back at my beginner base. He was my living vault until I could upgrade my base to hold everything.
Argy #1. Well done. Some of those I would be hesitant to put in a top 10 simply because they aren't available on most maps. That aberration creatures are amazing. Hands down, best map! Even after 2000 hrs I didn't know the parasaur could carry that much. They've always been kind meh to me, but they are growing on me as time goes by.
I still think the maewing needs a minor nerf for gliding cause you can glide for ridiculously long distances if you keep it facing only slightly downwards you can slow glide and just sit in the air for minutes until the game forces it down
This was a great list. Oh and I hate the gas bag just saying I cannot get used to flying them. When I stream my first tame on a new map is the Argy hands down.
Daedon pigs have very good carry weight as well. Almost as good as the Argies. The demon pigs have a big reputation for their healing but they carry lots of wood, metal, stone and ect… While having the speed advantage to avoid enemies.
I need more GODDAMMIT!!! I do have a question though. With ankies or doedics, how does one get them to auto harvest whilst being flown around by say an Argy or Quetz?
Honestly think the tsintaosaurus is better than a para. You can tame it instantly right at spawn. Its passive with just mejoberries and doesnt take too long to tame and can carry a lot while also having a buff speed run ability if it detects an enemy

Or just drop de anky next to the note and harvest the metal on the anky. Then pick him up with the karkinos again.

Truly though, a sinamocrops and an argy combo while you are holding the mining tool is legit the GG combo of it all.
I use dinorphs with lvld weight myself and name them after designer handbags like Louis Vuitton bag etc.

The rhino has a lot of weight and it can run at the same speed no matter how much weight is carrying

If you want a 'forklift' dino for moving stuff around your base...the Ravager (it can fit through double doors).
Shoulder pets are pretty good since they don’t add onto your weight and u can take them anywhere.
