Zeiss has involve in phone camera technologies since the golden age of 2G Nokia. Nothing beats Zeiss especially when it combined with Pureview technology, the unbelievable color accuracy and low light capture. I missed my Lumia 910 and 930.
Greatly impressed by the camera uses of the phone, i have seen many shots clicked bythe phone and they have really done a good job with the camera sensor and image processing by Mediatek
I saw a comparison with Realme 12Pro+ which has take very good ratings as midrange and this phone here and Vivo 30v Pro beat it almost on anything on the camera. Im impressed about vivo this year. Great flagship but also midrange. It will be cool if you find the time to make some "chinese" midrange phones comparison which are ahead on anything against US and Samsung
I felt that Vivo clearly saw what Xiaomi did with 13T non-Pro (Leica experience on a budget) & decided to jump the hype train (Zeiss experience on a budget) with V30 Pro. V30 Pro seems like a great phone for vloggers who don't need flagship chipset but still want that sweet Zeiss experience. Single speaker is still a bummer though.
I think the cons are acceptable because it's in higher mid-range class. If they compacted all the goodies in there they might as well put it in a flagship categories with more expensive price tag.
Hi, 🙂 Can you help me with this question? Will this phone use the 2800 nits for watching regular non-HDR movies (SDR) and general use? Or felt like the 1300 nits of the same as the previous model vivo v29 pro ?
You know how to read specs. Interesting. The ultrasonic finger sensor is intrinsically better. This sensor works really well on all phones. Looks like this is your first encounter with the ultrasonic sensor.
Looks decent tbh although it is kind of crazy not to include EIS on the front camera, kind of essential nowdays. What is also strange is that this seems to come pretty close in price to the regular vivo x100. Also seems no reviewers have recognised the regular x100 even existing when it seems like it is even better value that this. Same with the regular Oppo x7
Price? 3d performance exactly the same as the Poco X6 Pro. You can also get this performance with LCD display and camera without OIS for a lot less through Redmi Note 12t Pro
Could it be on par with the X100 cameras? I know X100 is better overall but does those differences make a big impact considering V30 Pro and X100 are very close in price and both offer Zeiss Cameras.
The X100 Pro would be the winner out of the 3 with the better lenses for sure. X100 I would guess has better image processing than V30 Pro due to the additional V2 chip but not too far of a difference so thanks for the additional input. Too bad the X100 series will not be released in my country so I'm rather stuck with the V30 Pro for a global release and I'm glad they chose to add Zeiss Cameras to this series.

Maybe the ultrawide got better, didn't see the base v30 review, again - JN1 is better than some nameless 8mp camera. But effectively it's just a photo phone. Contrasty colors, bad HDR, stuttering. If frontal 4k has no EIS - maybe show frontal 1080p then? Most people aren't going to use 4k for chat and clearly this phone isn't meant to rival flagships in frontal camera performance. Still bad exposure handling, so, again, much worse for chatting than that same iphone, even SE. And if it doesn't even have a dual speaker, then... well, there's not much going for this phone. Considering the Pro tag - I imagine it wouldn't be any cheaper than 500$, maybe even 600$, China likes to overprice their upper segments. And that's a shame. If they ditched some features, there's no need for frontal 4k, there's no need for that ugly rear design, no need for a telephoto camera... and with so bad video handling, if the phone is really just a snapshooter - then 400$ is really the PEAK price it can aim for. Maybe without the expectedly bad base v30, without idiotic segmentation, if this was just one device that took best features of both segments - it could remotely rival the age old 400$ price tag with Nords, Nothing Phones and Pocophones.
