I am the happy owner of an Honor Magic V3, which carries the Huawei DNA. You can certainly see that reflected in the Mate X6; it's very similar to the Magic V3 in almost every way. Not a bad thing; Huawei and Honor cater to different audiences and the Magic V3 is a fantastic device. I'm sure the Mate X6 is too.
Finally a global version of their foldable, and it improved so much from the X5! Amazing, can't wait to get my hands on.

As much as I like Huawei thats a no. Grossly outdated 7nm chipset, no native Google, and as good as the camera is I would wager the vivo x fold 3 cameras are better especially the zoom. Plus the price, maybe in other countries this is priced better but here in Canada it's around $4000 which given its limitations is ludicrous. I think it's supposed to get 5g but not 100%. Sure on that one though.
Cores of the SoC is probably 6 cores but with multithreading which allows you torun 12 threads.

not really, it's 4 large(2 thread each), 4 small cores, total 12 thread. This time, small cores are custom(sort of), with out-of-order execution instead of in-order as before

Apple really needs to step it up , they are the bottom of the pile for innovation and keeping up with current tech like folding phones
I assume Apple is monitoring and, based on the slowdown in fold sales, has decided that there is no money in this sector. So they are in no rush and will wait. Bearing in mind that folding phones may be dead in a couple of years when we get rolling phones, that is probably very sensible. But I am sure if sales pick up to make it profitable, they are ready to step in, maybe in 2026. Though they may instead go with a folding iPad instead.
Bro just casually revealing that the Kirin 9020 is faster than the S23 (Snapdragon 8 gen 2).
At least we know now how the camera module of the Honor Magic V4 will look;)

You can remove any lag by disabling 'auto manage' for WhatsApp in battery management

Not enough XT productio. Can't buy it by walk-in in a China's shop even I have the money. Must pre-order and wait, wait, and wait.

I like Huawei phones very much but because of the software limitations, it will barely sell outside China. BTW Chris, can you please make a test to see if it works with other smartwaches? I am in love with my Samsung watch ultra. Thank you very much.

Greetings, the truth is that with an optimized OS along with the processor, you don't miss having a next-generation Qualcomm processor.
This is untrue; its chip is 7nm, so it is inferior. You will notice it especially over time. The worst part is that in Europe, these have been very expensive, around £400 more expensive than the Honor version, which is basically the same but with better hardware and full Google support. Hard to imagine many people choosing this over the Magic V3 or other alternatives. I suppose if you are loyal to China and want to support Huawei, then that is the main reason.
Unless you game or demand the max performance. But outside of the gaming and benchmarks you don't really notice it's a weaker SoC.

All these Chinese foldable designs make my Samsung Galaxy Fold 6 look so ancient. I wish Samsung made a phone with this design with their software. Samsungs only advantage right now is software. And they'll lose that advantage soon like have with hardware.
If the reported prices are correct, it is way too expensive. I can see it being banned in the US, especially with Google services on their own OS. Vegan Grey made me chuckle.
Hardware amazing but software for users outside of China? That's the question. If they can perfect that....They will dominate ... I want this phone so badly but the uncertainty with the software is holding me back
Well this is EMUI for outside of China and it's fine i'm using it the software is good but so far no App drawer for some reason.

Been hearing that for the last 4 years and yet Samsung remains the leader of foldables w/o the best hardware.

Huawei just doesnt interest me anymore. Yes great devices but without google and the hazle coming with that.. i cant justify to buy them.
Especially for those insane euro prices.
I use custom ROM on my Xiaomi device especially I am removing Google from my phone and life is really great. Gboard is probably the only good app from Google.

The X Fold 3 Pro has more battery, super fast charging, 4500 nits outer and inner screen and the best camera of any fold.
Really disappointed cause u held the OriginOS and the Funtouch in your hands. Plus this Fold only got 8 megapixel front camera... Way too far behind. Please do not compare any Fold from Samsung, not a reference in this foldable section. The worst. This Mate is just an everage device in the foldable world nowardays.

In fact, i have the Z Fold 6 recently. It opens soo flat that it may even be a tiiiiny bit backwards 🤔
I had a Chinese V3 but couldn't live with it and sold it to get the Global one to resolve these issues. It has a very similar experience to UAE Huawei devices.
- Google assistant (or gemini) doesn't support "hey google" and doesn't allow commands like "call dad" "navigate to x" "WhatsApp message dave xyz".
- No android auto.
- Doesn't work with WearOS watches like the Galaxy watches and one plus ones.
No circle to search.
-No google maps timeline.
- Windows phone link stops working intermittently and needs to be reconnected.
- Very slow updates and bad support.
Micro G is a band aid, doesn't resolve the tons of missing features.
If you're looking for a foldable wait for the Samsung Fold 7, or the OnePlus Open 2. (or get a used Global Honor V3 or Vivo Fold 3)
Purchase pixel fold, if you want Google experience
