Yes, I got the upgraded computer option. I wanted that for the PC games as well as being able to play my Steam Games (if I chose to play them). You don't NEED it. But with an awesome machine like this, my thought process was, "Why not?" Their standard 4 player computer is great. But it boils down to your budget and what you want. You can't go wrong either way. I've never known a 4-player game where players 3 & 4 would need to use more than 4 buttons. Enlighten me because if that's the case, they'd be out of luck. 😂
@@dthomasfromnc there are a bunch, Shredder's Revenge for example. 4-player Dreamcast games, any smash bros game, double dragon gaiden... Lots of current 4 player PC games
@ProblemSolvedwithEric I thought you were talking about MAME games that required more than 4 buttons. Shredders Revenge isn't an arcade game technically. It was made for consoles, PC, and mobile devices. As for Dreamcast games, I'd just use the controller(s) as that was the original intent use for most of DC games (unless they required light guns "HOTD"). Same goes for Smash. I wouldn't play Smash Bros with an arcade stick (even though you can map it like that if you wanted to). But if you wanted to map your controls to use the joysticks, you can have it. My personal preference would be with controllers for those types of games. But going off your original question of 4 player games requiring more buttons, I'm thinking strictly arcade titles, not console games that can be played with arcade controls.
@@dthomasfromnc I guess that's where our opinions differ. When I'm on a cab, I'd like to use the panel for most things. Generally, the only things I use controllers for would be something that requires duel analog sticks. To each their own, I suppose
