Hi dear im very big fans of yours .you just with simple language discuss complex things regarding perfumery .I am from karachi pakistan .Hats off to you
I want to use c 12 MNA in a churchy copal incense scent, i was hoping to get your input., years ago I smelled a white fir needle oil that was pungent and wonderful and I can't find anything like it I found a few fir needle oils that come close and someone told me to combine it with C12 MMA, I was also told that black Spruce was something to try to achieve what I'm going for.. I'd really like your input on making a churchy liturgical incense based scent
@@sammacer thank you so much for taking the time to answer me. I've been a fan of your videos for some time now and appreciate all of your wisdom. I will definitely try your suggestion
Hello sir, Nice videos you have uploaded thanks. Is it possible to get Perfumes Formulation with quantity (ml / grams) like modern perfumes. 10 of each category ( mans, woman's , unisex & woody) 🙏
Incense in a broader sense can smell like almost anything, but when incense is listed as a fragrance note in perfume they are often referring to Frankincense, or Olibanum as it is also called. You can buy natural Olibanum oil as a perfume ingredient, but on its own it mostly smells very piney, a bit citrusy, a bit peppery. It's what they use as incense in catholic churches. If you want some more specific incense smell like Nag Champa, however, then that's a whole different thing.
Thank you Sam. Echoing all else on here, your videos are invaluable. I pray they meet a much wider audience.
Thanks Chris! It would be great if one day they could reach more people and convince them to get into perfumery.
You’re knowledge is amazing Sam ❤️
Thank you!
Good information Sam, muchas gracias.
No problem 😃
Great video! Keep going!!
Thank you!

I think those could help for sure. I'd also add in some olibanum (frankincense) and there's a good one called octyl acetate

You have formula If Attar?
Cancer and Aldehydes ? Please can someone address this, they are said to be toxic like alcohol and smoke, because they are highly reactive
Maybe Aldehyde C12 MNA would fit better in this context than the Lauric variant?
Quite possibly! I used lauric because it came up in the research I did
Hi Sam how are you I would like to make a smell of incense. What are the materials?
It depends - there are so many different types of incense
Are they substances that mix together and give you the smell of incense, or is it an oil with a specific name?
@@loveamber7285 Incense is just a generic term for a mixture of fragrant materials which are burned
Thanks
