Hi sam, thanks for your videos, I've found that using a little beeswax absolute into the accord really helps bringing body to the blend and mimics the real rose absolute feel.
This series is really good to understand the progression of making an accord and appreciate the time and effort too. Thanks Sam. Would something like raspberry ketone help to push this towards the fruity direction?
Thank you! I've always had trouble smelling raspberry ketone so I couldn't say for sure since I've neglected it, but it's something I would like to experiment with more in the future since I love the smell of raspberries.
The best fragrance channel! I’m starting my journey in perfumery and your channel is my best reference to it😎 Love from Sultanate of Oman 🇴🇲 home of the best frankincense 😋
I tend to use ionones when creating a violet accord or iris. Still a working progress at this stage personally I think enfleurage is the better way to go, but the synthetic accord will give better performance though.
Really enjoyed watching your formulation process. I have been working on a yellow rose accord to match a David Austin yellow rose called the Poet's Wife growing in my garden. It is a fruity rose with a hint of lemon. I am using natural materials and using Citral for the lemon aspect. I am truggling with creating softness to the blend. Do you have any suggestions?
Sorry for the silly question, but just to be sure: when you work on your formula, what is diluted to 10% will be used undiluted (that is, not diluted further), while what is at 1% will correspond to 10% in dilution. Is that correct?
Hey, I really love your channel, I was wondering if there was reason to use the accord at a higher concentration, let's say at 10 times higher. Is it really just too overpowered at full concentration or is for sake of saving on materials?
@@sammacer sorry, my bad, I just noticed the accord is at 1 and 10 percent dilutions in the accord instead of let's say 100 percent undiluted and 10 percent dilutions. I was wondering if this was for testing purposes or so the accord wouldn't be as overpowered when working with other materials in a formula. I'm still learning the ropes, and I notice that for other accords they're at full concentration, while others were at 50 percent or so. I know some people also work at 10 percent dilutions when working with stuff to see how it may come out but not see as many raw materials. Anyways, thank you for your time!
I don’t generally use ionones unless I want to create a iris accord or to give the perfume a powdery note.. im currently creating a rose oud perfume and almost got it down only the rose note is very sharp. Any tips to simmer the rose down a little?
There really isn’t any fragrance channel quite like this, have a sub and a great bank holiday 👌
Fantastic, thank you, I hope you had a great one too!
It is my dream to one day figure out how to make a bubblegum accord...hopefully by mastering these accord recipes you post I will get one step closer!
I would love to figure that out too! For sure learning the process should help :)
There is a material called floramat Kao that reminds me of bubblegum or a candy store. That might be a good starting point

I tried this today and I really liked the result! Thank you.

Yeah and it's super expensive / time consuming!
try to add these as Modefiers :
Rose acetol (rose crystals)
Citronellyl acetate
Raspberry ketone
Geranium oil
Indole
Helional
Cinnamic alcohol
citral
Diphenyl oxide
linalool
Thanks for the suggestions

Great stuff Sam! Somehow I would've went for the eugenol first. 😄 Good tip on watching the rose oxide level.
Thanks!

Very good initiative 👌
Keep it up 👏
Thank you
Huge fan. Any chance you can attempt a birch accord?
I’ve never seen anything about it before but try researching on basenotes 😊
Yay, i was waiting.
Glad you enjoyed bro
Great work 👏 👍 👌
How very interesting 🤔 great information 👍🏻
Thanks

Thanks! Sorry but I don’t really understand the question.

Nice! Been waiting for this one. (Still watching. Will edit once I finish watching.)
EDIT: Watched it. Can't wait for the next video. Cheers.
Thanks!
Can you tell me only Geraniol use for the Rose Perfume?
What do you mean?

With rose you can use a lot less than you might think. And some for ionones; often, popular perfumes use just a trace to add diffusion effects
Hi I'm from PAKISTAN your video is very good 👍👌👍👌👍👌👍👌👍!
Thank you
Did you cover DPO? Or I missed it?
Mr.sam , i am from India. May I know what is % Rel % Abs. Kindly reply. Thanks for your video.
how did you get these measurements of this much chemicals? I mean how you build accord with this much items?
It’s a mixture of experimentation, thought and intuition
I like content that talks about fragrances but it's a shame I don't have the ingredients yet
Hopefully you will!
Why does one need a rose accord when natural rose is available?
what's the meaning about %rel and %abs?
the butter and bread is the title of this video
