    A few random comments-You kids don't know what you're missing. When I was a youngun, you could drive out there to see the WHOLE Big Muskie, not just the bucket! 2) There's mounds all over Ohio. My favorite is Serpent Mound near Peebles (?), Ohio. 3) Most old farms around here have a structure that looks like that dungeon built over a spring- a "spring house" for keeping cheese and stuff in before electric refrigeration 4) The weird shape of the Ohio state flag actually has a name- it's called a burgee! Great video- Ohio is full of weird stuff!

    • @RileyRoams
      @RileyRoams  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      We would have loved to see the whole Big Muskie, that would have been incredible. The serpent mound is actually what got us looking into mounds, unfortunately it was too far from where we were staying to see. Oh that's super interesting, we have spring houses here in VA but they look a little different. A Burgee! What a fun name for it - not sure how I missed that but I'm glad to know it now, thanks. We appreciate you watching and commenting!

      There some structures like that near the ruined lime kilns near here. For storing explosives.

    I worked in that Kroger a few times. Back years ago when I did demos for Kroger they sent me to that store a few times. There was no room to even set up my table in there. One time they had me set up outside under that carport looking thing. Sometimes they just sent me away because it was a busy holiday weekend and they couldn’t be bothered having a sample lady in there.

    • @RileyRoams
      @RileyRoams  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      We imagine that would be a small store to do demos in, it was tight with just a few people in the aisles so having a table with samples would be tough! Thanks so much for watching, have a great day 😊

    Oh man, the anxiety I would have in those small Kroger aisles. That dungeon is in such a random place! Imagine living next to that. We really want to visit some of those Native American burial mounds someday! It's not too often you find things that old in America.
    I can't with all of Andrew's witty comments. You guys are a hoot. Great video guys!

      Setting her up to get flustered is the best because she plans so much of our trips but I typically am the one to research all the facts about where we end up going. It works well for us but it also gives me many opportunities to put her on the spot!
      The employees of Kroger were the kindest we ever ran into and seemed to know EVERYONE in the store but us. It was a very tightknit store and tight aisled as well. We actually talked about how weird it would be living near that dungeon and just have random people stopping by and inadvertently getting their home in every shot. The mounds are incredible and we always enjoy trying to add them to our stops.
      I appreciate you calling my comments witty, I'm sure there are other words for my sense of humor as well 🤣 Thanks for watching!

    Wow.. I would have sworn we had the smallest Kroger in the state here in Eaton Ohio! We’re getting a new one..they are redoing an old Kmart. But it’ll be a couple of years before it’s done. We have ONE frozen aisle, no meat or bakery department, NO self check out and they just opened a pharmacy since we’re getting the new store, but it’s not IN Kroger, it’s in the same strip mall though. And this is the only Kroger in Preble county 😂😂

    I didn't know that there are dungeons in the US. Dungeons you expect to be in the medieval towns of Europe, but I can see now that Ohio is definitely a little different. That mining bucket is huge. I'd like to see the marching band actually perform in the bucket. Or better even some contemporary rock band. Nice video as always with lots of interesting spots. By the way, I love that flag. Is that the Japanese flag inside?

    • @RileyRoams
      @RileyRoams  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      There weren't very many dungeons here which is why it's neat. The mining bucket was insane Jan! It was so giant and we would have loved to see a band perform in it. Thanks so much, we're so happy you enjoyed it! Yes the flag is quite something. Nope - there's no reference to Japan, just the colors of the USA.
