if by error you apply OC settings that would load on windows boot and CRASH, you can impeach MSI AFTERBURNER from loading them by HOLDING the CTRL KEY as the Windows Session is loading.
It will stop MSI Afterburner from loading the OC settings and allow you to go fix it ! :)

I have this card, great for 1440p but surprisingly it will play certain games in 4k at 60fps, stock without any overclocks on the wraith prism cooler. My mind is blown at the performance on this card. Cyberpunk runs fantastic at 1440p with DLSS and RTX off. Honestly, RTX in this game to me is subjective and I find that I don't even need it because the details and overall experience are already good enough, without the bugs that are.

The RTX Light Changes how shadows behave.. only reason I whant RTX coz CyberPunks shadows pop up all over the buildings or slide along with you riding... but Freaking hell is CP Rtx Demanding.. 3060ti cant handle it or goes 45 - 50 fps only on one Of RTX options turned on :/

I have a TUF 3060 Ti here: 2145 with +215 on the core, and 8000 with +1000 on the VRAM. I also did +50% on the core voltage and maxed the power limit to 108%.

    • @voinian

Same GPU, in benchmarks I found the memory performance sweetspot to be +1000, so I used put it to +900 for stability. For core I have a curve where in use mostly +220, and cap of 2070mhz (When I let it jump to 2145 it crashed more often). What really matters though is the frequency in game when power-limited, and in that it's mostly 2000-2070mhz in Naraka Bladepoint. In hundred hours of Naraka the game has freezed a few times, I might have to drop offset another -20, though I don't know if it will make much difference, it has survived +240 in benchmarks and in other games without any crashes. This card has low max power limit 216W, and the cooler is overkill, OC gaming temps are max 58C and the card is whisper quiet.

I have same card but I can’t find the sweet spot. I can get it to run benchmarks like speed way and superposition all day but when playing esp it will crash after a while. I get the “DXGI” error message. I been trying +165and +1100/1000 but still crashes.
Then there’s that quiet and performance switch. Does it actually do anything? I haven’t noticed a difference

You can get 16gbps OCs that runs worse than 15.5gbps.
People need to keep in mind with memory, that just because it's not crashing doesn't mean it's working well. You can have settings were the memory correction kicks in, the games do not crash, but the GPU runs like ass. Worse than stock. Because the amount of work it has to do correcting memory errors causes performance degradation.
I can tune a car to use more fuel, and tell it to rev higher, but if it's stuttering along and runs like shit, it's not going to be faster.

If it's in any way important, I overclocked the card via Gigabyte's Aorus software, not MSI. After overclocking with MSI effects were a bit different, usually the score was lower.

Got the same card, I started over clocking and threw in +2000MHz memory and +375 core and dropped the power limit to 90 I did this just for shitz and giggles and I expected it to crash immediately... It did not crash, I was amazed and thought it can't be stable, I ran combustor for quite some time and it did not crash once. This is the greatest piece of silicon I have ever gotten. Stable at 2220MHz core and 8800MHz memory right around 68° with 75% fans. Boy am I happy now

Nice Video!👍Can you (or another one too) say something more about PUBG? You said you have a special profile for it. I do my testing too right now, also with undervolt. But my problem is that my internet connection is not good...because of that PUBG is like a roller coaster in terms of latency, recoil and so on. So hard for me to test, never know if my OC is the problem or just damn connection. Can u tell me more about your experiences? Mine so far, seems that PUBG does not like VRAM OC & undervolt only a little bit...so I undervolted a bit and OC only the core a bit!

I got 2025 core clock and 9000 memory clock with an undervolt of 962 mv and a temperature never exceeding 58°c for 58% fan on my MSI gaming x. Performance gain of 10/12fps on Valley benchmark, stable frequency, stable voltage for a reduced power consumption. Stock I get 137 score on Valley ungine benchmark and with this setting I get 148 score.undervoltt/overclocking is for me the best way to get a good performance/consumption/price ratio especially in these times of energy crisis.
I also tested a classic overclocking, the frequency is unstable the voltage too and for only 2 fps more for also a higher consumption.

3060 ti Tuf here and I don't understand one thing. After turning on the benchmark (not only this one, it is so in every demanding game), the card immediately enters its increased power limit (215W) and drops the clocks in the range of 1875-1950. Without reducing the voltage, there is no question of any stable high boost. I thought it was standard on one plug, but from what I can see everyone here is getting a high boost. Normally I play on 1980mhz (stable in most games) core, 8000mhz memory on 925mv voltage and i am fine with it, but I'm a bit concerned about this power-limit hit on stock.

@@johncaceres4165 Its easy to do, The easy way is just get msi afterburner. Run the stress test at your resolution you'd use during gaming. Go in increments of 40+ on the coreclock during stress test til you see graphical errors, wait 5 minutes between changes, and then for mem. clock do 100+ (this isn't the most thorough way to do it, but it's okay) I put fan speed on max (unless it strains the PCIE slot or Graphics card itself, then 75 pct fan speed works) power limit and temp limit on max w in msi afterburner, and no added voltage. After you see graphical errors go back to your last safe overclock, and go in increments of 10, and for mem clock go in increments of 20, then 10 til you find your max OC w out graphical issues or artifacting.

If your GPU happens to be a Zotac unit then look into replacing the thermal pads as they are not only trash but they may be preventing the GPU from being able to make proper contact with the coldplate. I went from 83c+ stock to 71-72c and with the power limit up from 100% to 110% with my max OC to 75c. With 900mv, Cyberpunk 2077 goes from 58c-60c and that is usually what I run. You can look at the video I did to show how the GPU performs with the new thermal pads/paste but it is for the game Control not Cyberpunk 2077. Hopefully you understand what I am talking about and if not just look into replacing the pads/paste for your card.
