If you think your animal has swallowed a bone DO NOT squeeze their throat to see if it hurts them. It could very easily puncture throat tissue and walls.

I've been honored to have had 34 retired from duty K9s. I hope I can give a loving home to 100 more. We work very hard on developing work routines for each individual dog to fit their needs, desire to work, all within their physical and mental abilities. I used to work with the dogs before they entered service, when I had to be medically retired I figured it was time to work the exit from service side of things. This side is so much better. So attention handlers, if you must separate from your dog, there are people like me out here who can and will step in and to assure your partner still has work to do.

Monte the Kid showing Dr. Chris he wasn’t happy had me rolling 😅…what a goofball!! Animals are just like us and he wasn’t happy and wanted him to know! He reminded me of a kid sticking out his tongue 😛 at the Dr after he got shots. 😂
It’s the same as a cat’s “stinky face” (Flehmen response) when they smell something they want to learn more about. My goats do it to each others’ fresh pee puddles 🤢 or if the girls are in heat, something with the pheromones I’m guessing. I wonder it was the ear tag crusties that got this cutie doing it.
+ ERIKA DOWDY I had 4 pygymy goats thatI taught them to shake hands, come to their individual names (only the one whose name I called would rightfully come galloping, prancing over to me) and to do the raspberry... a pffft with the lips and a slight throaty blubber sound. They said g'night to one another by touching foreheads before each lying down in their individual beds and putting their heads on their pillows. I covered each of them with a blanket and their blankets would still be on them in the morning. The 2 males were black with white chests and white forelocks and larger than the 2 females, one that was pale gray and white all over and the other was all white with a small bit of gray and very, very tiny.
That goat curling his lip is called a Flehman response. It helps him smell Chris better. If this is a buckling, he's determining if he, or Chris, is bigger...if you get my drift. Lice are EZPZ. Rub that little guy down with Sven powder. Do it twice or three times, a few days apart to catch the newly hatched ones.
They also do it in response to strong smells, either good or bad...they are trying to get a real good smell of whatever it is to determine if they like it or not...
I think mine just does it at every single smell. Every two to 3 minutes he will be doing it. Do you think that could be anything to do with the fact he was a bottle baby? It’s more then a little strange how much he does it.
As usual, amazing work all! What interesting lives these folks live! Police dog injured on the job, shark insemination, chicken bones stuck in dog's throat...all in a day's work!
i was thinking that myself. i guess nobody has explained the theory about sharks biting surfers being because, from underneath, surfers have a seal silhouette. and move like one that's already wounded. one would think as an avid surfer, he would have heard Something about it at Some point.

Hahaha so funny

They said that for humor, but really goats do that when they smell something intriguing. It exposes scent sensors under the lip. Horses do that too.
Me too! I genuinely needed that laugh!!!
I love that the female shark took along an emotional support fish
I was wondering about that too. Lol
I wonder how those nurses felt after realizing the baby goat had lice 😅
Not happy about it. And are wanting to take a looooong shower
Itchy.
