    To replace the shims, you don't need to take off the cam shafts although it makes more sense. The manual suggests removing the rocker arm pin and slide the rocker arm. I tried that just now and it worked. The rocker arms won't fall into the crankcase. There's just enough room to get the shims out and out the new ones in so magnetic pickup tool and tweezers are necessary.

      I’m not even sure you can access the bolts to remove the rocker arms due to the stupid frame design! I did wonder the same as you why he didn’t do this!

    On sh300i you just slide rocker arm and take the shim... So much easier!!!!!!
