Lavendaire I love you so much and i can't describe my feelings right now after noticing that you liked my comment and 💕💕 The most beautiful and fascinating thing that really makes my bullet journal so so precious is your series of "Dream life" thank you for existing and inspiring me in such a beautiful way 💗
So many good books here! I do agree with the Power of Now being a hard read. It’s so deep that skim reading is nearly impossible! It’s really worth taking the time to read, reread and digest every single word 😌💚
A few books in English I enjoyed and would recommend... 1. 7 Habits of Highly Effective People 25th Anniversary edition - Steve Covey -This book has helpful principles and ideas to make you focused and productive 2. Influence 'The Power of Persuasion' - Robert Caldini - This book reminds you when to say no! 3. Autobiography of Malcolm X - Malcolm X and Alex Haley - This is a journey of discovery in self identity that needs to be read to the last page 4. Long Walk to Freedom - Nelson Mandela - This was a difficult read at the beginning but the book lays a foundation at the start that makes this a very important read reconciliation, identity, struggle, interpersonal relationships, principles and very interesting
Yay I’ve been needing some new books to read! I’m finally in a place where I’m prioritizing personal development again and I was hoping to get some ideas! Thanks girl! Perfect timing. 💕👌🏻
Investing in yourself is the best thing you can do🤗😘 you should look at bookstagram on instagram for inspiration for more books to read! There's a whole book club on there with reviews and reccomendations every day👌⭐
Hi Aileen. Im tearing up just writing this because im so thankful for you and this list. I knew immediately that The Slight Edge was for me because all my life i have had such a challenge with being consistent. I start strong but never last. I am half way through this book and i can already see that this is going to impact the rest of my life big time. Its huge. So happy i found your channel. You have great content. Keep up the good work.
I am 24 years and i am recently sticking to read books, i have learned a lot through channels like yours about books and inspirational persons, lifestyles and methods and i am proving my life, thank you. I am going to read these books
Thank you, Aileen! I actually haven't read any of those yet! I could really use the money one, since I am *terrible* at asking for money for my services. Ugh. Could use some tidying up too!😅 *MY LIST:* 1. "Life's Golden Ticket" by Brendon Burchard (Great for reading if you feel stuck, depressed or are going through a tough time. I read it after a major breakup and it gave me an entirely new perspective on my life.) 2. "The 4 Hour Work Week" by Tim Ferriss (Not done reading this yet, but I've already quit my job and have boosted my brand & business since starting it. Great for entrepreneurs and people who aren't full of talk and empty of action.) 3. "Motivation Manifesto" by Brendon Burchard (The tone takes some getting used to, but it is a very powerful book. I suggest reading a passage from this each night before bed.)
Agreed! Loved that one! ♥ And yes, his training courses are great as well. I highly recommend looking at his "Persuasion Mastery" course, if you have the chance. It is one of my favorites! Great for listening to in the morning when you run out of Lavendaire videos to watch. ;)
I borrowed the life changing magic of tidying up and my room looks amazing! I donated five big bags of clothes and miscellaneous items to a charity, and I feel great xx it’s so organised and makes my feel lighter and happier :) I still live with my parents so my room was the only thing I could focus on, but I still feel accomplished! Can’t wait to read the other books, thanks!!
I've just watched your series on planning your life while sitting outside with my summer journal and a pinned of strawberries. Your videos make a differance so never underestimate yourself!
Marie Kondo changed my life! I haven't read any of the other books, but I'll definitely check them out! I love your content it's always encouraging me to be better!
Wild Ones please read it, her MANGA book and a diary with years that you can fill in. I am doing the method and it is changing my relationship with things. Not to hoard my time and energy with my clothes, books and papers, etc but to view them in a BALANCED way, appreciating what we achieved together in the past, present and...if we decide to stay together in the future.
*I recently read the 4 agreements as well! I love how he puts everything into very simple, kid-terms but so profound in its messaging. I need to read the power of now--it's been on my mind for a really long time now.*
I'm really thankful for ENG CC , because I'm not fluent in English yet so there are some words that i couldn't hear/understand but reading what you're saying really helped me ^^ + new subscriber , your videos inspired me so much
Books that changed my life: Anything by Pema Chodron (specifically when things fall apart & the places that scare you). Rising strong by Brene Brown. The Untethered Soul by Michael Singer. Sorry for the typos but my phone sucks, lol! These are holy grail for sure. Excited to check out your suggestions!
I’ve been loving “The Curator’s Closet” by Anuschka Rees!! She gives you a step-by-step guide all about how to find your unique style & how to save money doing it!! She has given me a whole new relationship with shopping in general!! The book’s layout is very aesthetically pleasing-it reminds me of you!! Thanks for your great content!! 💕✨
I will definitely have to check out The Slight Edge. I have always had that problem too of not being able to see projects through to completion. I have so many different interests and I often feel like I'm a bit ADD because I can never stick with any one thing for very long. Now I am starting a blog and TH-cam channel and I have already invested a lot of time and money with very slow results, but I know if I stick with it, good things will happen. I have already read several of the other books and they are definitely great. I have The Power of Now on my shelf but haven't read it. Probably because my x-husband gave it to me so I was resistant to it. Trying to release resistance! Thanks for the great reviews!
I have the hard copy of The Power of Now however I really enjoyed listening to his book on audible. His voice is so calming. I found that having the passages read to you was much easier to absorb and comprehend.
I loved this video. I had watched some videos on TH-cam where people recommended some of those books but it's interesting the way you talk about them and how they changed your life. Thanks for your video!
I watched one of your videos where you talk about the life changing magic of tidying up and honestly it was such a game changer...!! I also just wanted to say Thank you so much for all the inspiring content, your positivity has inspired me to start my own TH-cam channel a few weeks ago to try and share a little bit of positivity with my own community 😁💗👌⭐
I do have my favorite books that I love and changed my life. I’ve been struggling my first few years on my online business but through these books, it keeps me motivated and staying positive in every step of the way that I’m going through as an Affiliate Marketer. I love your books collection, Aileen! Will definitely check them.
Thank you for sharing! I usually don’t read books much, but recently I’ve been in the mood to read so this really helped me. I read Konmari book long time ago in Japanese and loved it. I haven’t read books in English for a while but you inspired me to read again, thanks:)
Young Adult readers may already be familiar with Esther Earl’s “This Star Won’t Go Out,” but adults should be aware of it too. The book gathers the writings of a girl who died of cancer at age 16, along with stories and reminiscences from her friends and family. Earl came to mainstream public attention with the help of author/vlogger John Green, but don’t think this book is an award winner only because of his contribution. “This Star Won’t Go Out” is touching and inspiring!
I started reading The Four Agreements because both you and Jenn Im recommended it and I could see why. I now keep urging all my family members and friends to read it too. One of the favorites I read last year was The Dance of Anger by Dr. Harriet Lerner. I don't know if someone as positive as you would need to read a book like that but it really helped me let go of the negative energy and the anger that I was holding onto at that point in my life. I still need to re-read it because this mind tends to forget and fall back into bad habits. Which is why I've already put the other books you have recommended about being in the present and how to be consistent in my to-read list too. 💕 Thanks for sharing this, Aileen. I hope you continue to be as positive and inspiring as you are now.
These books inspired me a lot. Aileen, I LOVE YOU SO MUCH! I was so, so, so, low in life and I gave up creating my own dream life. You changed me into a person that can manage to create my OWN DREAM LIFE. Thank you so much and once again, ILY SO MUCH!
The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up was a game changer for me. I read it in March and actually followed her steps and it's been months and the clutter has NOT resurfaced... and I haven't even had to try! I also really liked the Four Agreements, I just read that in June. I've been meaning to read The Power of Now for Years now lol! And lastly, I read Jen Sincero's You Are A Badass last year and I've been meaning to pick up her book on money ever since then... This video will be my inspiration to do so!
I think a way for you to grow your TH-cam channel is through collabs, making yourself known, putting yourself out there, more marketing. You got this!! ❤️
I have a BOOKS playlist on YT on all the videos where I talk about books: bit.ly/2Oai2x9 Here are my favorite books out of what I've read: bit.ly/2LVIvRB And here's a complete list of ALL the books I've read in the past few years: bit.ly/2msSqjw
Hi Lavendaire. I would like to suggest you a book. I don't know if you know it, it's called "The Answer" by Allan and Barbara Pease and it's about mindset.
Just subscribed to your channel and I really love love love reading books and will definitely give these books a try if I can find them here in India the book that I am currently reading is Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill lots and lots love from India 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
I want the Eckhart Tolle book so bad! Also, I recommend Smarter, Faster, Better by Charles Duhigg. It deals with productivity with side inspiring stories to guide you on your way. It made a huge impact on changing my mindset honestly!
This video is the reason why I started to read The Life-changing Magic of Tidying Up and now my life has been better if I may say so. Thank you so much 🖤
Eat Pray Love is one of those rare book which when transformed into a movies still remained as intriguing and inspiring as the original work. Four agreement is one of the book which even my non-reader best friend loves, the best thing out this book is the simple and easy language while still being profound and really helpful. The Slight edge is something I am looking for to read. PS: love your work..Always like before watching the video.
Soooo agree with The power of now, it's one of my favorite, such an eye opener. But I had the same experience, I found it hard to read and sometimes I needed to re-read some sentences. I love getting to know new books, thank you for sharing. 🙆🏽🤗
Deep Work by Cal Newport and Spark by John J. Ratey and Eric Hagerman are two books that I recently enjoyed very much. Not sure about the audiobook format but I enjoyed the paperback versions.
Ever since receiving from you, A New Earth and reading it with my boyfriend outloud, we've been meaning to pick up The Power Now. You are right they are dense books, but I think NOW is the time to finally pick up that book!
I love Marie Kondo. I've been reading her things lately. She's definitely helped with not only my stuff but my decisions and my life in general. All the things you said about her book are true for me too!
I noticed that every summer I fall in love with a certain TH-cam channel. This time it is definitely Lavendaire! I also like two of the books that you've mentioned - Eat, Pray, Love and Four Agreements. They're awesome! I'll read 'The Power of Now' and 'The Slight Edge'. Thanks for the recommendations. I can recommend Mark Manson's 'The Subtle Art of not giving a f*ck' - it was a game-changer for me. I cared so much for such an insignificant stuff, sometimes forgetting about the things that really matter. And this book really helps to overcome this foolish habit. P.S. I am not sure about money mindset. I guess I have issues with that. But all I want is to have enough money - not too much and not too little. Making lots of money seems a bit selfish to me. Like if you know how to spend it and spend it on something good, helpful, etc., then ok. But if you are just making money to make money to have more money - it is a sickness, in my opinion. Maybe I should read the book after all! And maybe it is an influence of one more book I am reading right now - 'To be or to have' (Erich Fromm)
I didn't have any of those books but i'll definitely try to find them at bookstore over here!! 😄 thanks for introducing all of those books esp the life changing magic 🔥💯
"The power is within yourself" by Louise Hay and her movie called the same (she has written 27 books), what she says it´s very powerful. "The power of no" by James Altucher. "A course in miracles" by Hellen Shucman . "Stillness speaks" by Eckhart Tolle.
This is awesome! I love your channel, and it's so clear we're cut from the same cloth because I own 4/6 books you recommended and we have similar top choices! Thanks for sharing and being such an inspiration!
Your videos have changed my perspective towards life and i feel happy and satisfied every single day. You are a great motivator and I always look up to you for getting new ideas. A big fan from India..
I read also "eat, love and pray", "the magic of tyding up" and "the slight edge". I love these books and I've read them several times. After reading "the magic of tyding up" my life changed in better, definitely! Less clutter more joy :-)
I have been working through my summer reading list and it just seems to keep getting longer! Thank you for these suggestions I honestly cannot wait for some cozy fall vibes to cuddle up and get into these. I think the books about saving are so important! You never want to be poor pretending to be rich! Love it girl keep it up!! xoxo 💗
I love the power of habit by charles duhigg. Basically it cracks how habit works in depths. A good one for when you want to change a bad habit or when you simply want to work on a new habit
I have actually never read eat pray love, but fell in love with the movie! Maybe that will be the newest book I pick up :) Thanks so much for the suggestions!
I've seen the movie and didn't like it, so I'm not very tempted to read the book. But I guess that it can be refreshing if you never encountered traveling to soul search. :)
I love love love Jen Sincero I have cried through most of her books she just speaks to me at just the right time. I love her she had absolutely changed my life.
It is so happy to see someone who likes the same books as me =) have read half and I love them. Definitely will read the other 3 books. Thanks for this video.
Great video! I have read all but one of those and will definitely get going on it. I also really, really like Remembering Wholeness by Carol Tuttle and Excuses Be Gone by Wayne Dyer.
The four agreements .. is simply the best book ever .... i hear about it here in your channel befor ... so thank you Aileen i love your shining star in my life
I absolutely love watching you. Everything I'm learning or going through I've found on your channel! I've read most of these but I will check out the 3 I haven't read. Thank you so much!
Hi Ileen !! I'm from Italy, I always lived in Italy since I've been born apart from a month or two, when I've been abroad! The only place where I've lived out from Italy, is Germany! I've loved Germany so much, people there, are wonderful!!! I loved them so much!!!
I just discovered Libby so this video is right on time. I want to finally read a few of these. Esp Slight Edge. I was born near a new moon so I am inconsistent with everything and I rarely complete things....mainly things I don't want to do. Thank you for always sharing with us. Aileen, you're amazing! 💕 Edit: forgot to add that anything on audio by Louise Hay is amazing. Her voice is just so relaxing, her story is amazing. I love her!
I have the first three one and in my list, they are also in life-changing part so I think we have the same taste so I'm going for last three one especially because I want to start my blog. by the way, I'm a student in Milan right now and I love here. I followed you yesterday and happy to find you.

It's Audrey that's so interesting because me also, I actually applied the kon Marie method to more than just clothes AND belongings👌
I'm always excited for your book suggestions! Can't wait to read the ones I haven't yet~
What I Talk About When I Talk About Running - Haruki Murakami in Audiobook, love it !!
You and Kalyn Nicholson are like my TH-cam life coaches! I love you both to bunches, and you both inspire me so much! You are incredible, Aileen! 💕✨
Another book I would definitely add to this list is "You Can be Happy No Matter What" by Richard Carlson. This was life changing for me. Great video!
What you said about that book "The Power of Now" is absolutely true 😘
What a coincidence, I just bought it a while ago but haven't start reading it. But now I'm very much looking forward to start
I got this for Christmas and I'm motivated to finally pick this up now!👌
"The power is within yourself" by Louise Hay and her movie called the same (she has written 27 books), what she says it´s very powerful.
You're really good at explaining what the books are about and reviewing them :)
Your videos have changed my perspective towards life and i feel happy and satisfied every single day. You are a great motivator and I always look up to you for getting new ideas. A big fan from India..

You know what u also changed my life with books also ty for coming in life such a beautiful change
Love it girl keep it up!! xoxo 💗
Ask and it is given is an amazing book you should listen to or read if you haven't!
I love the power of habit by charles duhigg. Basically it cracks how habit works in depths. A good one for when you want to change a bad habit or when you simply want to work on a new habit
affirmations only confirms lack of something at the subconscious level so how it can be a solution, it's like putting a band-aid on a broken leg
I sent all the books and writer names to my dad. I am curious about reading them now. I can't wait.
The four agreements 😭😭😭😭 amaaaaazing !

Christina Marie the book is amazing!!
Sameeee
Christina Marie I always feel the book is better, always. Except this book. I didn’t like the book at all but loved the movie.
The movie does not give the book justice!
I've seen the movie and didn't like it, so I'm not very tempted to read the book. But I guess that it can be refreshing if you never encountered traveling to soul search. :)
Thankyou for sharing, the sound like lovely read, I am going to give some of them a definite try.

Hi Ileen !! I'm from Italy, I always lived in Italy since I've been born apart from a month or two, when I've been abroad! The only place where I've lived out from Italy, is Germany! I've loved Germany so much, people there, are wonderful!!! I loved them so much!!!
Try...' The Last Lecture ' - Randy Pausch & ' What I talk about when I talk about running ' - Murakami
Edit: forgot to add that anything on audio by Louise Hay is amazing.
