Now I know why there is no extractor hose.
@@SuperMagnumguy I was about to ask what happened to it, but the pinned comment provides the answer.
Thanks, beautiful cherry, and a foot wide, nice for sure.
Nice to see it live a new life, no doubt your friend and customer is very happy with the way you find the best in any log, and this was a sweet one. Thanks again from the Pacific Northwest.
A bit of natures wonder right there, Gotta love Cherry!, BEAUTIFUL!
Nathan that’s some beautiful cherry wood right there! Cool video. ❤️👍
Thanks 👍
That's pretty. It would be cool if one of your customers would send you photos of their finished products using your lumber.
When it looks that good it's easy to understand why you could love this profession/obsession.
Beautiful cherry. Nice job. You have.a happy customer.
What a fine cherry 🍒 log. Customer I bet will watch and be proud. glad you enjoy Gold Handle coffee. ☕️ DUKE would be proud.
Thanks again!
Now you've done it! Since you've put the word out, you are going to be inundated with buckets! You might have to build another shed to store them all
lol 😆
Yes, I noticed the vintage nature of the video. Beautiful lumber.
Thank you very much!
I think Lisa advises that you can fix your bucket with some straw! Beautiful bit of wood.
Beautiful cherry log! I grew up in the Black Cherry capital of the world (814 area code in PA) and build a lot with it
well that's good to know, so they have a lot of nice cherry trees over there?
@@JuanPerez-ek8wd a million acres of beautiful hardwoods, predominantly cherry... but also maple, oak, poplar, beech, birch, walnut, hickory, and softwoods like hemlock
@@thomasnourse7506 ... wow, you've got it all.. paradise
Fun editing romp. Nice and busy show, you are getting better at teaching while on video. Also, keep all the jokes coming. ✅
Thanks! 😃
I have enjoyed incorporating cherry in so many of my projects over the years. Good looking, rich deepening color over time and a reasonable price. Typically found with voids, holidays and blemishes cherry if filled with finely sanded and polished epoxy an excellent final product.
Gorgeous lumber! I'd reckon you're gonna have one happy customer.
Hope so!
Nice cherry boards, Nathan.
It's really nice that you care enough for your customers, that you move those boards with care.
Very interesting, I don’t have a mill but I love watching and listening to you, RB, Nova Scotia.
Hi Nathan & it's is Randy and i like yours cool & Thanks Nathan & Friends Randy
Nathan, still enjoy watching your content. Cherry is my favorite wood. It has great color and grain. I enjoy working with it.Thanks for sharing your business, life and wisdom…..
Nathan, hope you score big on the walnut 🪵 in this video 😮😊❤
Always love stopping by your channel. It's so calming and informative. Love the music, and love catching a glimpse of your neck o' the woods.
Thank you so much!
This log looks to me to have given you exactly what you predicted Nathan, & that is, some VERY nice Cherry boards. I never seem to tire watching your videos because you explain exactly how you plan to cut for the best timber rather than leaving your viewers to try to guess what you are going to do with it next. I am sure your customer will be exceedingly happy when he gets his lumber. Cheers mate, Don from South Australia.
Thanks again!
Great video, thank you for sharing it with us.
That is some pretty lumber.
Cherry is my favorite furniture hardwood. That’s one amazing log. Ty for showing this.
Here in Germany, Cherry. U can't sell it!!
I don't know why, it sat in my workshop for years...
Greetings Wolfgang
You are making some really awesome videos !! 😎👍🪵🪵
Thank you very much!
Been following you almost from when you started on you tube I don't miss many regards Barry Gravett Port Elizabeth South Africa !
Beautiful wood Nathan, thanks
Thank you too!
Really nice cherry
That’s some beautiful cherry
😮 I thought that fence line was long gone
You must have every attachment available for each of your many tractors. Man and his toys.
I have found that guys listen to videos like it's their wife talking.
Or because of it. Lol😅
You need to put a sign on the wall with your blade suppliers name mite help but don't hold your breath Nathan
It won't matter. He could have it flashing on the screen and they'd still message him.
Beautiful Cherry Log! Nice lumber from it as well. Great job Nathan
Great job today Nathan, loved that sawn cherry log, awesome lumber. Good luck with the Walnut Tree, hope it's worth your time and equipment use. Stay safe and have fun with it. Fred.
Work, work, work......so relaxing to watch.
Nathen i'm very grateful for the videos and Robert the sawmill professor or wood yoda between the 2 of you a Big Thank you for the videos i always learn something new
Beautiful cherry log
Dog gone it I thought I would finally have a good question for you and then you go and explain about edging the sap wood. Another fine lesson learned, thank you
beautiful cherry; please mention how you agree with a customer as to, potentially, the amount of board feet will a log render.
If it wasn’t for walnut, cherry would be #1.
Fine Cherry lumber.
You always come up with interesting camera angles. 👍😎

Old F-4 II Shoe🇺🇸
Nathan those Cherry boards are Excellent looking 👍👍 I hope the Walnut Tree was good 👀
I think cherry wood is my next favorite type of wood; that looks really good. By the way, if you want to preserve your long-time bucket use Gorilla tape and JB weld: works great (I use that all the time on my buckets). 😉😉👍👍
those are some really nice boards.. beautiful with no defects.. probably my favorite wood.. those boards are a cabinetmakers dream.. I hate to cut up those super wide boards. normally when I get some that are that wide, I stack them on the very bottom and just save them.. I have some wide boards in red oak and cherry that I've had in her for maybe 10 yrs.. I've got some red oak that are 15 inches wide.. just can't bring myself to cut them..
Cherry has got to be the most beautiful of all IMO
Great video
Beautiful
Thank you! Cheers!
Been away for a while. Hope the family is well! Hey Bruno!!!!
Nice sawing 👍 I love cherry. All around good species.
Thanks 👍
Pre-dust collector era! 😎
Thx
Beautiful cherry 🍒 log
Saw it like a stop sign. lol
That looks like it might have been a beautiful peel log.
Wow, do I love Cherry? YES.
Some really nice camera work!
Thanks a lot!
Of course you must respect his privacy ! But it does make me wonder “what’s he afraid of” lol😂😂😂
More Gold...
Sorry, I missed the comment about the videos filming
'There's a hole in the bucket, dear Liza dear Liza.' 😂
Your bucket has a hole in it? DEAR LIZA!
That explains why you’re not using your sawdust controller…
Nathan, did you ever think of turning that small stream that runs out by the road into a pond?
Yes
👍
Can you quarter saw that cherry? Based on what you said the yield would be small but man those boards what be awesome!
Yes I can 👍👍
MM77 Approved 👍🏼👍🏼
Confirmed
es, your bucket has a hole in it, right in the top!
I’ll bet that bucket is still under warranty. Take er back.😂😂😂
I always thought that the cracks show where the stress would be located. So I normally try to go 90 degrees opposite to the cracks. Just wondering your thoughts on that. This is my general starting point on which face to open first but as always I look for the stress as the cut will tell if there is stress or not.
I also wanted to ask about the log turner on the LT70, while I love the fact that it goes both directions, it sure does seem to mark up the logs a lot. Do you find that your old LT40 log turner was easier on the logs?
Chain turner is the best. Wouldn’t be without it
Is the operators side on the left end or the right end of the wind chimes 😂
Do you keep the cherry slab wood for your fireplace?
great timber but do you burn the sap wood or chip it for mulch? great listening to what the neighbour wants regarding the walnut, hope it works out
I sometimes say Joe main silver tip turbo 7 in my sleep don't understand why people still ask
😂👍
I wonder how many buckets your will be getting, now that you asked. You might get an interesting collection from different Hardware stores across the country
How do you go about getting some of the lumber that you saw up
How do you remove the sap wood from the edges ?
Hello. Toby from wisconsin. How often do you have to replace your debarker blade?
Pretty good content, keep up the good work. I see a lot of “waist” and was wondering, aromatic cedar (juniper?). I would love to have about 4, 4 foot sticks of 2x2. What would that cost us shipped to 81504, Grand Junction Colorado? I could cut it into 2” blocks to place around the house for the scent.
Great suggestion!
I’ve got a nice bucket here in Ireland, if you’d like to collect it?
Would it be worth the effort to quarter-saw the cherry, or just a waste of time?
What happened to the dust collector hose?
👋🏼
What happened to the sawdust collection system?
What happened to yje saw dust evacuation system????
No cameras? Maybe hiding from the law. LOL
We haven’t seen any cherry in years. Do you ever get any boxelder in? We haven’t seen either one in 10-15 years here in GA.
Very rarely anymore
I never saw quarter sawn cherry, is there a reason for that?
Very nice cherry - is it fairly large for your area? Stay safe.
Very!
😄👍
What happened to your dust extraction?
Kirishima was slabbing up a Cherry (Japanese) recently.
WHAT HAPPENED TO YOUR DUST COLLECTOR FOR THE SAWDUST? i DONT SEE IT
Too much tractor time!
That brand new blade has a set problem or something irregular
Is there a specific reason that you rottate the log 180 deg after the initial cut instead of 90 deg?
Just my preference
