I wanted to say a lot of things after watching your video but at the end I just want to say Thank You for helping me to be at peace with myself. At the end it's not about finding a home or finding yourself but to just let the Human inside us live, laugh and cry. Embracing the self as it is what makes life a little bit easy.
Beautiful video and sharing ❤ I’m 38 and when I was your age, it was never a fit in but finding that ‘right fit’. You are still growing into those BIG shoes and will become comfortable in wearing them. Trust me on that 🌈🌈🌈
We moved from our house of 25 years to another house a 5 min walk away a few years ago. The new house has a better layout and it allows us space to be together as a family in ways our last house didn't, so it made this new house feel like home immediately. Something simple like a larger kitchen / Living room makes family meals so nice, where we all can be together. We walk our dogs past our old gate twice a day, and from the day we moved, the dogs have never even looked at the gate, they decided from day one, our new house was their new home, we can learn a lot from dogs. I hope you are happy in your new house and it quickly becomes your home.
Amazing film! Thank you Ottile! I’m 19 and I’ve decided that if I want to be included and belong, I need to include myself. The world can be brutal, and it won’t include you accidentally. 😢 I suppose you can learn to be home anywhere then.
Ottilie - your videos always stop me in my tracks and create a calm space I can stay in for a little bit. You talking about home and a sense of belonging in this one cuts even deeper as I've been on a journey to build a home for creators, like you.
At your age you're supposed to feel like you do. You're doing fine. At the end of the day you only belong to yourself. It will probably take you another 10, 20, 30 years, who knows, you will get there. Bon voyage 🙏🏻
Yes. Until you figure out your purpose. Everything else will fall away and the sacrifice will be worth it all. I’ve moved almost yearly. Spent 26 years in two separate houses. Home can be anywhere. Family can be so you’re with. Enjoy your journey. Human nature of ego, especially for a lot of women is hard to be satiated. Until you do the work on the heart/soul/feelings you won’t know. Change is constant. Get used to it. Expectations are motivations. Rationale keeps us honest with ourselves. Ego and identity are the same thing. Stay safe. Not overly safe so you become complacent. And perfect is the imperfect. Individuals
Huge fan of your work! You put so much love and care into your videos. Each shot is absolutely stunning. I am also guilty of thinking that a beautiful place would cure my problems. Even when watching your videos, I'd envy your living situation. Thank you for providing a new perspective and reminding me to stay present :) Best of luck on your new journey!
I'm 36 and have never fitted in. I don't feel at home in my current location. Work places are out of my comfort zone. I feel most at ease at home (as in my house) where it's just myself and one cat. The place where I feel most at peace is on the coast. About 2.5 hours drive away. I dream of moving closer. Whether I feel more at home there I can't know. Maybe home is about finding peace within. Whether that means changing our physical home or not. I read something a while back that went something like this... Who am I? I don't know. I am me and I am happy so does it matter?
@@chris_1988 I don't see that it matters. It's a journey after all. Maybe we need to stop searching and practice acceptance and making more of where we are here and now... Que sera, sera.
Just moved to a new country for the first time last year, and a new city last month. This video (and your entire channel 😁) resonates so much with me. Thanks for making such beautiful videos
I'm 45 and in my life, I have never fit in. The interesting people I've known in my life didn't fit in at various times in their life. The most interesting people I've known in my life are those much older than me who have never fit in.
I think home is also a decision, what you decide it to be. And therefore requiring your acceptance and making peace with the circumstances that constitute "home" for you. Be it the geographical place you life in, the people you know, your own self or whatever else. Also, is it even possible to find it in the moment? Maybe you can find it only in retrospect and when you are not home anymore.
Oh my, this is the first video that I've seen from you, and I have to tell you the quality, framing, and coloring of the shots/b-roll is ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL, it's clearly visible that you've put a lot of effort into it!
You can't run away from yourself. The inner me is always with you and if he feels bad, it will be bad in any beautiful place

resonated with this big time, feeling at home within is so freeing, like that missing piece of the puzzle was always me. thanks for sharing :)
↟↟Home is not a place..This is the state inside🙌🏻✨
book Unveiling Your Hidden Pontential can change your life. Habit must be not outcome based but rather identity based. Stay blessed.

This was a beautiful piece, thank you for sharing. I’m 23 and very much resonate with what you’ve been feeling

i think close friends or people are the ones who make the feeling of home in a place and help finding out yourself.

Fellow 36er here, also still searching. Don't feel like I'm in a hurry though, not sure if that's a good or a bad thing.

💯 agree! It’s just about finding the ‘right fit’ 💃💃💃
Life is a journey in which the road is carved as we go.
Wonderful little reflection of life on a Sunday 😊
I cried with your video❤
Wow, such a nice and meaningful video. I really enjoyed it and needed this message.
