Ayee thanks for the review and the feedback! The height is something we’ve gotten a lot of feedback on and we’ve since lowered it on our newer models. Same smooth feeling with easier pushing!
The “springiness” of the BoostPlates is from the different heat treat recipes that we’ve been tweaking over the years - now it’s treated to account for a range of rider weights while still being durable enough to handle impact. We’d be looking to offer different models with different spring properties to give more pop vs shock absorption. All around a different and fun ride, and we’re stoked to have you guys on board!

My college campus is rough as heck and boards with some kinda cushion/ suspension have been something I've been looking at, are there any other suspension designs besides this one? Also love the videos guys, as a downhill rider and avid shredder always love the honest review content. Stay mega, stay big, stay bad.

Hi don't you wanna make comparison between dinghy turbo and normal dinghy

Hey man, I've actually ridden both a dinghy and dinghy turbo, the only difference is the wheel size. The dinghy turbo has 72mm wheels, which are much wider than the 63mm wheels that the normal dinghy comes with, so has a higher top speed and rolls for longer, but is harder to accelerate. If you're starting out, just get a normal dinghy, but if you want speed, go for the turbo

The suspension seems like a neat idea, i guess the challenge is finding something springy enough to make a difference but stiff enough to prevent it from bottoming out.
Love this sort of content, also its very nice to see honest reviews despite getting the boards for free!

It actually looks a lot like my custom setup with the waterborne adapters on carbon fiber extenders. Great shock absorbing, smooth carves.

This format was really interesting! I do prefer the studio format because it feels a little more professional and I feel as if you deliver your lines more confidently there as well! However I loved how we got actual footage of you riding this dope board. Maybe a hybrid type of video? Information in the studio setting, then longer examples in this format! Just my opinion though and I’ll love you guy’s videos no matter what. Keep creating!👏🏾

Hey man, I would take that board off your hands in a heartbeat! It actually looks pretty good for the terrain around where I live, there's not as much smooth stuff to ride on and it would really help me get started cruising around!

I got here from watching THUG videos to relive my childhood and have been consistently surprised at the variety of skateboards that were out there I never heard of. Now there's this new monster truck looking skateboard too? Nice, can't wait to see what pops up in my recommended next.

I've seen a very similar design and concept years ago. It was designed to simulate surfing. Produced by a surfer but dud not really pick up or gain any traction. Cruz Control used steel as suspension, the one I'm talking about used some sort of plastic material that is a lot more flex and more springy than steel. Surfskate was just very new during that time. I'll try to look for the video and post the link here. Hope the vid is still here on youtube.

There's some real rough pavement and sidewalks where I live that make skateboards a nightmare for feet, wonder how this board would fare in those kinds of conditions. I'd be interesting in buying this if they're good for that. Sick video as always!

I actually won the Astro in a giveaway on Instagram and I think it’s a fun board to ride but I agree that it is tall and the spring steel is pretty stiff but that could be because of my lighter weight. Maybe they could lower the plate and soften the steel then add the spring between the board and the plate.
