Trinity math. Each member has a different purpose but different roles. Man's math 1+1+1=3 but when it comes to the Trinity each aspect of each individual member of the Trinity is infinite in ever character and ability so you end up with the math equation of infinity + infinity + infinity = infinity. Since each member is infinite with the same purpose and desire you can never increase the value or separate them as three Gods. They have the same value and purpose together or apart as one infinite God.

I quite like the way John Piper answered this question. If someone is teaching seriously wrong ideas about the Trinity, genuine believers should sense that something isn't right, even if they are not able to clearly articulate the doctrine of the Trinity.
I think a lot of genuine Christians have a very faulty understanding of the Trinity. But if someone is a genuine believer and they pray and examine this topic, the Spirit will lead them towards truth and away from error.
I don't think many of the first Christians would have had a clear understanding of the Trinity, but they wouldn't have held views that sharply contradicted this.

In Acts 2 thousands of Jews converted & worshipped the Triune God, Yahweh, because they were already Binatarian. The Jewish "Two Powers" theology wasn't ruled a heresy (by the rabbis) until around 100 A.D. Too many binatarian Jews were converting to trinitarian Christianity so the rabbis made changes to the doctrine.

Once the biblical doctrine is clarified to the person, s/he may reject it. At that point, the person is either worshipping the one true Triune God who revealed Himself in the pages of Scripture ...or worshipping a false, non-trinune deity.

I recently heard an explanation that makes some sense. It stated that the use of "im" attached to a word in Hebrew indicates a plural meaning. Like "seraph" = angel, "seraphim" = angels. So the Hebrew name "Elohim" which is used for God indicates that He consists of more than one part. Father, Son, Spirit.

My best understanding of the Trinity is based on the metaphor of the tetrahedron. It has four sides, representing how the one God reveals himself as God, Father, Son, Spirit. We serve one God. If you hold a tetrahedron in your hand, you hold one object, representing the One God. The distinctiveness of the persons is preserved since the one object has four facets. The distinct facets are also part of the integral whole while yet being separate. If the tetrahedron is made of transparent glass, you can look through one facet and across to see a different facet facing the inside. This explains how Jesus could say to Phillip, if you have seen me (looking through the transparent Jesus facet), you have seen the Father, (the Father facet). A perfect metaphorical illustration of the Trinity can be found in a transparent glass tetrahedron. Easy... God presents himself as each separate facet singly, or as a combination of facets. For example, if you hold the object so you are looking directly down on it, you will see three facets, Father, Son, Spirit. This is how God presents himself at Jesus’ baptism: Jesus in the water, the Father speaking from heaven, and the Holy Spirit descending as a dove, all three present, yet distinct at the same time. Another example is when Jesus was praying the high priestly prayer in the garden. There, the object is turned to show two facets, the Father and the Son. There are fourteen such combinations of facets that reveal God in the scriptures. (P) What about Jehovah of the O.T.? The name Jehovah is so holy that people of New Testament times never used that word. Instead, they used the word, "Lord". These days, Jews will say, "hashem", the "Name", or the "tetragrammaton", or some other substitute word. When a Christian confesses that "Jesus is Lord" at baptism, they are actually saying, "Jesus is Jehovah". Jehovah went through kenosis and came to earth as a helpless baby so he could die on the cross for our salvation.

No, you do not have to believe in the trinity to be saved.
Simply know that in God's sight you are a sinner deserving of hell.
Trust that Jesus suffered and died paying the penalty for you, that what He did was totally sufficient.
Then grow in grace and the knowledge of Him.
The understanding of the trinity will come as you study with an open mind.
Before salvation we are spiritually blind, only after salvation does God open up to us the mystery of His Word.

@@maxaplin4204 It was a couple of months until I believed Jesus is God as well as the Son of God, and it was Thomas's answer to Jesus in John 20:28 & 29 And Thomas answered and said unto him, "My Lord and my God."
it was the next verse which cemented it for me. I knew if Thomas had it wrong then Jesus would rebuke him immediately. So I read the next verse carefully.
Jesus said unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.
Here was the Bible speaking directly to me. "blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed!" I hadn't seen, but I BELIEVED!
This was revealed after three days of fasting, praying and reading. I knew from that moment on, I could trust God and His Word to reveal truth to me.
      It was now settled in my mind. I got up and had something to eat and then opened my Bible to the Palms and read;
Psalm 131:2 Surely I have behaved and quieted myself, as a child that is weaned of his mother: my soul is even as a weaned child.
I was rejoicing, praising Jesus as God. He had opened my eyes to Himself and also informed me that I no longer needed milk, but could trust Him in everything. It was very easy after that to understand the Holy Spirit was also God.
That is why I said what I said in my first post. It is possible to be saved yet not know Jesus is God.
However God does not want us to remain ignorant, He wants us to grow in grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ our Lord.

I don’t think I will never understand the trinity doctrine. I’ve been on a quest I don’t know how long...I left Catholic to join the Jehovah Witnesses thinking that they had the answer regarding who God is..after more than a decade in that religion I Recently left so disappointed. Nothing else but Antichrist. I do believe Jesus Christ is the son of God and has the same nature with His Father. Is 9:6 calls him mighty God. So I do believe that. My problem is the explanation given for the Holy Spirit as a distinct person and also God. So far I can only see the Holy Spirit as God’s Spirit since God is Spirit..multiple times in the Bible they mention the Son seated next to the Father but never mentioned the Holy Spirit. I’ll keep studying. I left the Witnesses @ a great cost because I love truth. I’m confident that my Holy Father will reveal the truth to me.

Jesus words to a Samaritan woman at John 4:22-24 " Salvation originates with the Jews, WE worship what we KNOW, you worship what you do not know".
He then went on to say that the true worshipers will worship THE FATHER in spirit and truth
According to Jesus then the Jews knew the one whom they worshipped unlike the Samaritans. The Jews were not then and are not now trinitarian.

    John 1:1 says:
'In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.'
There is a bit of a riddle here to begin John's Gospel. How can the Word BE God and also BE WITH God?
The answer is that the New Testament uses the word 'God' in 2 different ways. Sometimes it refers to God the Father, the first Person of the Trinity, in distinction from the second and third persons of the Trinity. And sometimes it refers to God as a divine Being without thinking about the persons of the Trinity.
In John 1:1 the word 'God' is used once in each of these ways.
Here is the sentence again with additions in square brackets to show the meaning:
'In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God [i.e., God the Father], and the Word was God [i.e., the divine Being that is God].'
There is no confusion or contradiction in this verse.

Born 2 Win yeah based on the context, I agree with you, Jesus is God. Jesus even said of Him & His Father:
“I and My Father are one.” Then the Jews took up stones again to stone Him.
Jesus answered them, “Many good works I have shown you from My Father. For which of those works do you stone Me?”
The Jews answered Him, saying, “For a good work we do not stone You, but for blasphemy, and because You, being a Man, make Yourself God.””
      ‭‭John‬ ‭10:30-33‬
The Jews knew right there He claimed to be God, that’s what the stones were for.
      Jesus continues:
“Jesus answered them, “Is it not written in your law, ‘I said, “You are gods” ’?
If He called them gods, to whom the word of God came (and the Scripture cannot be broken), do you say of Him whom the Father sanctified and sent into the world,
‘You are blaspheming,’ because I said, ‘I am the Son of God’?
If I do not do the works of My Father, do not believe Me; but if I do, though you do not believe Me, believe the works, that you may know and believe that the Father is in Me, and I in Him.””
      ‭‭John‬ ‭10:34-38‬ ‭
V.38 is revealing of His response to the Jews that He is in fact professing diety.

@@carljones8334 In my initial comment I said that in the NT the word 'God' (Greek: theos) sometimes refers specifically to God the Father and sometimes it refers to God as a divine being without thinking about the persons of the Trinity.
I think that in Acts 5:4, which you quote, it's referring to the latter of these two meanings, to God simply viewed as a divine being.
      V. 3 says that Ananias has lied to the Holy Spirit. But I think in v. 4, when it says that he has lied to God, I don't think 'God' is still concentrating specifically on the Holy Spirit. Instead, I think the reference has broadened to now concentrate on God without reference to the persons of the Trinity.
I do see an implication in Acts 5:3-4 of the divinity of the Holy Spirit. But I don't think the word 'God' is a specific reference to the person of the Holy Spirit parallel to the way John 1:1 specifically uses the word 'God' as a reference to God the Father.

Greetings. If this helps anyone...Many years ago, I did not realize it at the time, I was in a church that believed in the Trinity, but they actually believed in a thing called Tritheism. This view radically demotes the Son and believes HE was NOT God while in the Flesh and also believes in Three Gods. There was this night I had, an attack from the enemy, where I suddenly did not know which God to pray to. Over time even elsewhere I thought, do people take a Sharpie pen and cross out John 14:14? I can say much here, but to keep this shorter, I waited on God to show me The Truth. I can honestly say, over many, many years, I see more and more in Scripture. However, I started to notice things, such as people telling me that if I did NOT deny Isaiah 9:6 (that is, Everlasting Father or Eternal Father) my salvation was at stake. I told them I would never deny this verse or make it mean something else. (I have even seen a children's Bible have a note therein by that text and say that HE was "Like" a Father. I cannot help but wonder what that does to a child and their faith to have something like that in their Bible that insists on reinventing that verse. Other things I have noticed: Preachers at the pulpit telling their congregation that the Father raised the Son from the dead, but they NEVER tell them what the Son said in John 2:19-21...that is, Destroy this temple and in three days "I" will raise it up. I am not saying that they do NOT mean the same thing, for we have Gal. 1:1 to compare that to, of course. It means the same thing. But to me, a key verse is Isaiah 40:3, for this verse tells us Who Came in the Flesh, and it is quoted in all Four Gospels at least to some degree. In Isaiah 40:3 in most English Translations, I believe, tells us that it is LORD and God in that one verse. That is Who came in the Flesh. And here is the thing: LORD means Yahweh, Jehovah, Yehovah, I AM, etc. and in Matthew 28:19 the NAME is Jesus, which in Hebrew is Yeshua, which means, Saviour, LORD is Salvation, and some believe it to mean more precisely, LORD has become our Salvation. Thereby, in the various places in the Book of Acts, in all cases where they mentioned how they baptized it was all in the Name of Jesus. Here is the Big question if one thinks not: Were the Disciples disobedient to the Lord Jesus Christ in Matthew 28:19? AND in the Greek, the "word" NAME, is clearly defined as NAME, but I see people changing the NAME in Scripture to be authority or representative, etc. But I think that is wrong per the importance of "Name" in the Greek. So, in a lot of current translations one can still find Name in John 5:43 and John 10:25 and in John 17:11--- That the Name of Jesus is the Name of the Father, and pertaining to the Holy Spirit, HE comes in the Name too....and of course we have John 4, where the Son refers to the Father as a Spirit God is Spirit, and the Last Adam is called a Life Giving Spirit or a Quickening Spirit. Some people say that there are over 70 places in the OT where God tells us there is no other or He is the only God, etc. But one may ask, why it was SO IMPORTANT for people to believe that God came n the Flesh....for one...HE came to fulfill all that was required, such as various Blood Covenants. In the OT if one made a Blood Covenant and one broke it, they had to die. Moses and his people made a Blood covenant with God, basically the Law Contract. And the thing is, they could not keep the Law perfectly, and we too are in the same boat. So, God came in the Flesh to die in our place. What we deserved fell upon HIM. HE laid His life down willingly and took it up again. But on the Cross HE did more than that. The Sabbath Rest resulted from His people being freed from slavery, and God had to be strict so the day of rest could be maintained...to know that today, Jesus became our REST (and Freedom). There is more. I believe that God died on the Cross, and I think it is what is called the Mystery of Godliness. The One Who used His Own Blood to begin a New Covenant of Mercy and Grace. I stand in awe of all the glorious things that are revealed in the Bible. God bless you all in Jesus' Name.

Using your Bible, slowly go through some Old Testament passages and you'll begin to see the Trinity in the Tanahk (Hebrew Bible), as well as the NT. For example, who was in the burning bush? Who led the Hebrews out of Egypt? Who wrestled with Jacob? Who was present when Moses was in the cleft of the rock?

Interestingly, the verses that were used are are general (generic, if you like) for both trinitarians and non-trinitarians. Of course we all believe in Jesus. One scripture that he avoided was John 17:3, where in Jesus OWN WORDS, says that to have eternal life one must know the ONLY true God, but also the Son of God, alluding to two distinct persons, God the Father, and the SON of God, Jesus. So yes, the scriptures are clear that to have eternal life, we must belief in one true God and his Son, NOT THREE IN ONE.

@@harveygitarista1600 You said “who I’m I to question these truths” Well We are entitled to ask questions, the Disciples of Christ did it very often; Now in Deuteronomy 6:4 “Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord” this(if you didn’t know) is the foundational text used by Trinitarians to support a Triune(three) God putting emphasis on “ONE” but when you carefully read this in context it doesn’t, here’s how: first thing first we must know and understand Who said or Who spoke these words of Deut 6:4, well Deuteronomy chapter 5 reveals this; Deuteronomy 5:1-2 “And Moses called all Israel, and said unto them, Hear, O Israel, the statutes and judgments which I speak in your ears this day, that ye may learn them, and keep, and do them. [2] The LORD our God made a covenant with us in Horeb” It was Moses who was speaking and notice he says the exact same thing he said in Deut 6:4 “Hear O Israel” & “The Lord our God” Now later in Chapter 5 Moses says this in reference to the “Lord thy God” Deuteronomy 5:22-24 “These words the Lord spake unto all your assembly in the mount out of the midst of the fire, of the cloud, and of the thick darkness, with a great voice: and HE added no more. And HE wrote them in two tables of stone, and delivered them unto me. [23] And it came to pass, when ye heard the voice out of the midst of the darkness, (for the mountain did burn with fire,) that ye came near unto me, even all the heads of your tribes, and your elders; [24] And ye said, Behold, the LORD our God hath shewed us HIS glory and HIS greatness, and we have heard HIS voice out of the midst of the fire: we have seen this day that God doth talk with man, and he liveth.” Moses understanding of the Lord thy God is that He’s One Individual not Three notice he says “He” & “His”. Continuing on to Chapter 6 notice what Moses says prior to verse 4 and afterwards Deuteronomy 6:1-5 “Now these are the commandments, the statutes, and the judgments, which the Lord your God commanded to teach you, that ye might do them in the land whither ye go to possess it: [2] That thou mightest fear the Lord thy God, to keep all HIS statutes and HIS commandments, which I command thee, thou, and thy son, and thy son's son, all the days of thy life; and that thy days may be prolonged. [3] Hear therefore, O Israel, and observe to do it; that it may be well with thee, and that ye may increase mightily, as the LORD God of thy fathers hath promised thee, in the land that floweth with milk and honey.
[4] Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord[5] And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.”
Again Moses says “HIS” denoting One as a single individual not a unity. if you read the whole chapter of Deuteronomy 6 you would see Moses understanding of his meaning of One. Now in Mark 12 A Scribe ask Jesus a question Mark 12:28-32 “And one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, and perceiving that he had answered them well, asked him, Which is the first commandment of all? [29] And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: [30] And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. [31] And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these. [32] And the scribe said unto him, Well, Master, thou hast said the truth: for there is one God; and there is none other but HE” Notice Jesus himself quoted Deuteronomy 6:4-5 in Mark 12:29-30 the Scribe says Christ has said the truth and his understanding of One is one person not a unity of one by saying “for there is one God; and there is none other but He” lastly in John 17 Christ praying to his Father says this John 17:1-3 “These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee: [2] As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him. [3] And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.” When Christ said His Father is the Only True God he’s not saying he himself is not God but His Father is the Source of all life and all creation(Acts 17:24-25) that’s why Paul says in 1 Corinthians 8:6 “But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things…” Jesus reveals this fact that His Father is the source of life even his own divinity(divine life) John 5:26 “For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself” Notice the Father life in himself was given to his Son (Jesus) this is not referring to Christ humanity but his divinity, life in himself is a self-existence life.

I have a question. And this is an honest question. So I have been saved for a few years, but don't fully identify with the Trinitarian belief, nor do I fully identify with the Modalist belief, Biblical Unitarian belief, or Binitarian belief. There was a time where I did believe and defend the Trinity, but now I'm just not sure about what doctrine to believe about God. I've listened to several debates on the subjects and have referred to scripture so many times that I can't even count, and yet I can't come to a single conclusion as to what the Bible teaches on the subject. I've heard many convincing arguments from several angles of this grand debate, but I just can't find a decisive conclusion. And every time I think I come to a conclusion, I start doubting it and can't seem to stick with it for very long anyway. I just can't find the truth when viewing the entire debate. And it's not that I deny the Trinity, I really don't, but I just can't come to a decisive conclusion and I'm worried that I never will. But yet, I believe in Jesus Christ, confessing with my mouth that he is Lord, believing in my heart that he died for my sins and that God the Father rose him from the dead. Not to mention I am currently in the process of fully repenting of my sins. It's hard, but it is working. If I were to die right now, (that's not a threat of suicide, I just mean hypothetically speaking) do you think I am still saved? Or did I lose my salvation? Someone please help me?

The bible states a number a factors necessary for salvation including repentance from sin and faith in the ransom sacrifice of Jesus Christ . Christians must believe Jesus is the SON of God and accept him as their Lord and King.
If it were necessary to believe that Jesus Is God the Son which is the way Trinitarians seem to understand this phrase I'm sure our loving Father would have made this clear.
Jesus told a Samaritan woman at John 4:22-24
"Salvation originates with the Jews we worship what we KNOW." he then went on to say that the TRUE worshipers will worship the FATHER in spirit and truth.

The fact that he is God's Son tells us something about him and his Father.
If two identical twins were to come to my door and one twin claimed to be the Father of the other I would think something very strange was going on. We expect a Father to be older and more experienced than a son. A Son learns from his father and often reflects the qualities and personality of the Father .
I believe the father Jehovah is older than the Son Jesus. Jesus was the beginning of the creation by God his first born only begotten son, all things were created through him and for him. All things will be subject to him and to him every knee will bend.
Jesus is God's SON not his brother
When Jesus was asked how to pray he said you must pray this way "our FATHER in heaven" he also referred to his Father as my God and the only true God (John 17:3).

But you need to understand who the Jesus is that you are crying out to. In 2 John 1:7-9 we read about people who deny that Jesus is human and are said not to have God. They presumably would have cried out to Jesus, but they wouldn't have been saved.
It is possible that something similar may sometimes be true about those who deny the Trinity.

The (trinity) is not only a vain, perverse, idle, corrupt, filthy word of confusion not found in the holy scriptures, it is a doctrine of devils and damnable heresy.
These 3 names are the names of the Holy One: Jesus the Almighty everlasting Father:
    1 John 5:7
For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
    Matthew 28:19
Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
    Acts 19:5
When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.
    Isaiah 45:
[21] Tell ye, and bring them near; yea, let them take counsel together: who hath declared this from ancient time? who hath told it from that time? have not I the LORD? and there is no God else beside me; a just God and a Saviour; there is none beside me.
[22] Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else.
[23] I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear.
    Philippians 2:10
    That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
    Ephesians 4:6
One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.
    John 4:24
God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
    Job 13:
[8] Will ye accept his person? will ye contend for God?
[9] Is it good that he should search you out? or as one man mocketh another, do ye so mock him?
[10] He will surely reprove you, if ye do secretly accept persons.
    John 14:
[8] Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us.
[9] Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?
    John 4:22
Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews.
    Isaiah 9:6
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
    1 John 2:23
Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: (but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.
    John 8:
[24] I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.
[25] Then said they unto him,
    Who art thou?
And Jesus saith unto them, Even the same that I said unto you from the beginning. [26] I have many things to say and to judge of you: but he that sent me is true; and I speak to the world those things which I have heard of him.
[27] They understood not that he spake to them of the Father.
    John 20:
[28] And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.
[29] Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.
    Revelation 1:
[7] Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.
[8] I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.

The question: Do i need to Understand the Trinity to Be Saved? Here is the answer:
Absolutely not! First, one is saved by grace and not by their own intellectual understanding! We saved by Christ's atoning sacrifice, but we must accept it by repenting from sin and trusting in Christ. Adding anything else to this would be adding requirements to salvation. In fact, we will not understand everything about God! In the book of Job, God should him many wonders about the world that Job did not know about. However, Job was still righteous in the sight of God! God's infinite being transcends time, space, and matter. People were saved even before the New Testament period. Were they saved by their knowledge of the New Testament? OF COURSE NOT. We are saved by God's grace after we repent and trust in Christ. Nothing more nothing less. We should not add to scripture or take away from scripture. It becomes clear in scripture that the Holy Spirit, the Father, and the Son are all God. We can have trust in this because it is God's character who we trust in His Word. I have seen people add to this by saying that you must understand the trinity. However, this is not correct for the reasons stated above.

When Abraham was credited to him as righteous. He did so by faith in Christ even though he did not know "Jesus" yet because he was already born again by the mercy of Christ. We do not need to know all the mysteries of God to have Trust and faith in Jesus Christ. We simply must repent from sin and trust in the mercy of Christ.

This is rubbish! So early chrisitans were not saved'?Just a little history will tell you the 'trinity' was a very contraversial idea, and argued about for hundreds of years! It became the 'orthodox' creed by order not of sincere christians but pagan roman emperors. The bishops of the day were only too happy to emerge from the cattacombs and do a deal with the very nation that killed their own leader! It was total compromise & could in no way have received God's approval!

According to Scriptures, there are ONLY two divine beings and not three: God, the Father, and His only-begotten Son; the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God and of the Son. The trinity god is a false pagan doctrine, and not of God. Jesus said, I quote,
"And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent." (John 17:3)
And apostle Paul said, I quote,
"But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him." (1 Corinthians 8:6)
Apostle John also said, I quote,

The 'trinity' teaches that Jesus was just 'God incarnate' ( That is still fully God but 'clothed' with a human body! In fact he was conceived and born as a PERFECT MAN who died as a substitute for Adam ( 1 Tim 2:5) He really died! body & Soul and was resurrected on the third day! The 'trinity' is contrary to this biblical FACT! Eternal life comes tby believing that Jesus Christ is the SON OF GOD! ( John 20:31)

I love you John Piper and I am thankful for what I have learnt through your ministry.
However, Jesus said the Father is the only true God John 17:3
There is no biblical reference to "God the Son".
The eternal Spirit (word) of the Father was in the man Jesus Christ:
... how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without blemish to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? For this reason He is the mediator of a new covenant, so that, since a death has taken place for the redemption of the transgressions that were committed under the first covenant, those who have been called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance.
    Hebrews 9:14‭-‬15 NASB
Now all these things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation, namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and He has committed to us the word of reconciliation.
    2 Corinthians 5:18‭-‬19 NASB
I pray that through His Spirit, the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ will open your eyes to see the truly glory of his eternal plan revealed to us in His Son.

Do I Need to Understand the Trinity to Be Saved? No. You need to understand it came from men, and is found in human creeds, not the Bible.
(1 Corinthians 8:6) there is actually to us one God, the Father, from whom all things are and we for him; and there is one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things are and we through him.
(John 17:3) This means everlasting life, their coming to know you, the only true God, and the one whom you sent, Jesus Christ.

First of all, the council of Nicea in 325 AD introduced the trinity. Why, how? The bible is the best answer; Isaiah said To the Law, and to the testimony; if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.
Many of those men had no light in them, let alone the Holy Ghost. These were the nucleus for the Catholic church. They brought in the trinity doctrine. Do your history. As the dark ages was winding down, all these religions sprang up. The Catholics called them Sperated Bretheren. And also they became the Prostestants. Those who protested against the Catholic church. Unfortunately amongst other things, the Prostestants kept the Trinitarian doctrine, which the apostles did not teach.
The taught Jesus is God manifest in the flesh. See 1Timothy 3:16. And John 1: 1-14. Isaiah 9:6, 7:14. Revelation 1: 1-8; 17-18.
Jesus said I and my Father are one. John 14 1-4; Jesus said When you see ME, you SEE the Father, how sayes thou then, shew us the Father. Jesus was to his apostles. People, God is a Spirit. He fills all things. In order for the people to God, God must manifest himself in an object we can see. The spirit of God is invisible to us. So, he simply put himself in a form we can see- Jesus! That body was the only BEGOTTEN Son. To be Begotten means the Spirit took on the form of something. In this case, a man. Fathered by NO MAN. Mary was just a vessel to hold that body, or in this case, a baby. No such thing as a trinity. Hear O Israel, the LORD our God is one. Paul said One Lord, one faith, one baptism. One God, who is above all, through all, and in you all.
How? By the Holy Ghost. And, He's only in the church.

In the matter of the deity and humanity of Christ, the Bible strongly implies that seriously wrong ideas disqualify from salvation.
The letters of 1 and 2 John were written in part to combat the idea that Jesus wasn't really human. So, for example, in 2 John 1:7 John says:
'Many deceivers have gone out into the world; they do not acknowledge the coming of Jesus Christ in the flesh. This is the deceiver and the antichrist.'
And then in v. 9, referring to the same false teaching, John says:
'Anyone who does not remain in Christ's teaching but goes beyond it does not have God.'
So in matters of the deity and humanity of Christ, it seems that some beliefs were so serious that those holding them should be judged as false Christians.
It makes sense to think that there could also be some wrong ideas about the Trinity that are equally serious.
I do believe that God often has mercy on Christians who get things seriously wrong without having properly thought things through. But I think there are times when professing Christians promote heretical views on the Trinity after thinking things through, and their beliefs show that they are false believers.

If you're not worshipping the one true Triune God, Yahweh, who revealed Himself in the text of Scripture, then you're worshipping a false deity.

Your comment, @@showtime5372, makes it clear that you didn't listen to the posted video. The Trinity doctrine begins with "God is one." In other words, it's monotheism, not tritheism.
