I want the option of making each ship have its own cargo. sometimes I dont want my 15,000 crago to transfer to another ship that only has 500 cargo.

And crew that is assigned to that ship

@PatJWilliams That would be great as well

Yeah from a gameplay perspective it would be nice if the habs actually had some function to them.
For instance the captains cabin is actually for you only and no other npc should go in there, the sick bays have purpose like to actually hire your own medic and/or doctor to help you and you shipmates when you are injured and you would have to supply the sick bay with medical stuff or you can’t get help for certain things, other habs like control center crew actually uses it while in combat and the extra station on the bridge occupied while flying and in space combat, engineering bay have a purpose when the engines are damaged or down someone there to fix it, when there are any computer issues there is someone in the computer core hab fixing issues, and the armory with cells that can have bounties in them like you said in the video.
There are so many other things that would help the feel of the ship to be actually useful, and also the ability to more then just a couple of people on the ship like I would like to more way more especially on the bigger ships the crew were actually doing stuff in each of the habs just to make it feel more realistic.

The only thing Starfield is missing is the feeling of danger. They should make 2 more space pirate factions, and increase the spawn of ecliptic and spacers by 500%. Imagine discovering a POI, raiding that POI, then being ambushed by pirates on the way back to your ship, with the stakes being if you die you lose your loot haul.

If you can modify your personal weapons and armor, there should be a ‘performance’ shop to tweek your ship.
Getting blue prints of ships would be fabulous! These could be place in a Wiki page
Yes, outposts need internal partitions and maybe even walls (fortifications).

hab blueprint for ship and outpost and interior design / furnishings. I enjoy ship building even outpost design a little but choosing and placing items alway felt a chore to me. In Skyrim you had the option to buy furnishings room by room from the Steward of each hold.

Coffee Time part 2. Creation club is coming and I would think modders will deal with some of these. But I certainly agree on all your points. Great video, I like the new studio.

    1. Non-Constellation crew that is as good as Constellation. I have zero interest in the Main Quest and I feel like not wanting to deal with the twitchy morality system shouldn't be punished.
    2. A New Vegas style Reputation system. Why can't my Serpent Embraced Explorer be friendly with the Va'ruun? Similarly, why can't my highly decked out Frontier inspire fear in NPC factions that I have slain droves of. It should not be limited to the Theseus Ship known as the Razorleaf.
    3. More setting lore. What is available is truly anemic. An existential threat and the corresponding changes to factions' and NPCs' attitudes would also help create purpose to the world.
    4. More external Structural parts for ship building. The interior stuff was way more fun than I thought that would be, but we need more parts like actual wings, antennae, and other greeblies. Maybe proper canopy window that extend over the end of habs or along the sides.
    5. A sense of a "living" world. Let stores close. Let NPCs go to the club or restaurant. Let them go home. Of course, on some planets, you would have to actually add homes. HopeTown I'm looking at you.

I'm still mystified as to why you can't buy a home in Cydonia, or New Homestead, or Gagarin Landing, or Hopetown -- basically any major established settlement should have at least one available player home.

I have seen named characters like the guy who "sells art" and Zawadia in New Atlantis go to a restaurant at night. And the miners in Cydonia go to sleep. Not as much as Fallout 4 and Skyrim but its there somewhat.

There is a comparison video that has tested this and you can use non constellation crew that will match the bonuses of the constellation crew with the exception of Barret's level 4 skill, the non only has level 3, All other things are equal across all crew

Hmm. I would like to see the ability to vary your characters height so you can make Danny DiVito starship captain and bounty hunter.

Also of course all of your ideas are cool as well, and should be added to the game.

  • @sadyr5575

All good ideas. Getting blueprints to pass through the unity might be a challenge. The only thing that does not reset is your character, i.e
Skills, traits, and appearance. There would probably need to be some kind of export or separate save option for blueprints.

I’d like the option to upgrade our parts, maybe at it as another level to your existing skill trees, having the option to arrest people and bring them in for bounties would be amazing and would actually make the brig modules have a purpose rather than just making them RP items (they clearly can and do have the coding to do it given that you literally can - partly - arrest people and go see them in the brig of the Vigilance), new environments would be nice as well the procedurally generated worlds get a bit samey after a while

The ability to use someone else's ship is done very well in Empyrion Galactic Survival, it's tied to STEAM workshop, easy to use. Upload BP and go if you have the resources. EGS shipbuilder is also a good thing. Bethesda could learn a lot applying many things EGS has done. There needs to be much more development into the usage and opportunities with these outposts. Where is the furniture store in Atlantis so you can buy BP's to build furniture and stuff in your condo and in outposts. How about the ability to actually put food in a refrigerator and change it so it can spoil or give you better buff if you cook/make it. Lets us take posters in POI's!! Agree with your Bounty hunter thoughts. Capture criminals, put them in your ship, then sometimes they break out! There should be much more animals and plants, and more danger from plants and aliens. Nice example with the audio telling you Danger Danger - Alien monster detected!! Cities need more things to interact with within them.
I realize the office area you made is actually you interstellar gaming area!!!

I think you may see ships start appearing in the content creation app.

I think your point about further ship part tweaking is valid, but I think most of it is covered already by the current system. They just need to add more parts that have the trade off's you mention. Double the brands of weapons and habs. If you actually fully explore the ship building in it's entirety and get all 4 levels of the experimental parts skill, you see variants of parts with those trade offs. Though, there could be some general rebalancing, as laser ship weapons are very outclassed and particle weapons are generally OP

    1. rework of most powers
2.uniques that are unique and not just 1/2/3 starred with fixed affixes
    3. exo-armor
    4. better ship building and tuning system(armor plating to cover habs, multi shields)
5.proficiency/skyrim/sota system... the skill system sucks
6.bar crew as companions(havent used them since ever, because i leveled up the ship skills way ahead of most things, as its the fastest way to level anyway:/)
7.more/better cities(neon doesnt have to be night city, just a section)
    8.scaling melee weapons

I would love ship blueprints. I feel like they meant to have blueprints in the game in some way as they are mentioned several times (ie by Neava on the key tour) but I feel like they wont do that because you lose everything in NG+...

What I want is for NG+ dialog to make sense. I hate the dialog about stuff that didn’t actually happen in NG+.
I would like to be able to have dinner with my companions.
I would like animal companions. Doesn’t have to be a dog. Maybe some vicious alien animal.

Check out the Exhibition in the game Crossout. That would be a great system to implement in Starfield

    • @Slackerdude74

Co-op would be okay just as long as it's implemented correctly, but actual multiplayer with many others that would be a big... Nope!

Less dumb NPCs would be really nice, it would be nice if guards didn't say I hope you're not some kind of UC drone when you're a ranger wearing the uniform. It would be great if when your in a town and your armor is hidden that guards didn't tell you that you don't need to wear a helmet. Shop keepers should also be less dumb, they have only a few random lines, even in fallout 4 they were way smarter. As you do stuff whether good or bad it would be cool for NPCs react in different ways. Like when you pretty much safe the universe from terrormorphs and nothing changes the way the NPCs treat you. It's like Skyrim when the guards would be like let me guess someone stole your sweet roll. Also, why isn't our armor hidden in outposts or on planets that are safe, it is for companions. And don't get me started on companions, even in fallout 4 you could say thoughts? And they had a lot of things they'd talk about. Well that's my ranting 😄

I’ve thought the NPC intelligence was lacking too, but I suspect the added code would just slow the whole system down.
