@josephanthonnydeez4050 of all the games deserving...the getaway would be phenomenal. And London is a perfect centerpiece...imagine the updated driving sections and all the interactions they could finally add.
Getaway is incredibly underrated. Not many games ever utilize modern-day England as a backdrop and Getaway really captured the gritty nature of the setting with clear inspiration to a lot of popular British crime dramas. I know Sony SOHO are pretty devoted to VR experiences these days, but I really wouldn't mind a new Getaway one of these days. It's clear Rockstar are keen to stick to USA as a setting for GTA, so the UK scene is left untapped.
More than 20 years i never ever played something that realistic in my life , it actually made me to be a hardcore gamer , i will always cherished this game in my heart . Story game play and acting was so incredible , deserve a remake or a come back . The true gta competition
This is what gaming is all about. We should all have a game that makes us feel this way. Could GTA and The Getaway both be successful at the same time if the series is revived? Personally, I think so.
No way! Only yesterday I was thinking that the getaway was an iconic game that hasn't really been covered much and when I was younger was more enjoyable than GTA
The original getaway is my favorite game of all time, black monday was much more polished but something about the first game strikes me with great charm. Would absolutely love to have a new installment!
Man I used to love playing this yeaaaars ago when I was a kid, I used to rent it from Blockbuster a few times LOL. Can’t believe we haven’t gotten another one. I been playing my PS2 recently and was thinking about getting this again to play.
The Getaway & The Getaway: Black Monday truly are one of the best games ever made. I hope that if the series makes a comeback they need to stick to the original formula. No HUD, No on screen GPS line telling you where to go, and (for the love of god) NO HANDHOLDING OR CODDLING THE PLAYER! If they do it right, it could be the most profitable game thus set in London. To top it off, if the manufacturers of these car companies allow them to use their cars, it could be used as publicity, with the possibility of making a significant increase in sales in the motor industry. I suppose only time will tell if The Getaway series will make a return to the limelight and grace a new generation of players with brilliant story telling and engaging gameplay. I for one would love to see The Getaway make a return.
As far as I know, Gangs of London (the series) is not related to the games in any way. It just shares the name and SIE has no involvement (as far as I know).
@@GameCircleTv it sucks that London Studio got shut down I’ve been hoping for some sort of remake of either of these games. Not alot of games like this anymore to be honest
The getway was awesome it blew my mind as a kid on ps2 the city the cars the turn signals the standing against the wall to heal i bought the guide book for like 30 bucks 😅 Also bad stuff couldn't skip cutscense he moved and ran really annoying but hey nothing perfect
@@davidmirandajr I agree, awesome game overall. I guess the skipping cutscenes issue was maybe because they did do it as a movie like game so they wanted players to enjoy the story. Would be great if they remade it
@@GameCircleTv I’m not a troll. I love the getaway one of my favorite games. But calling a rifle an assault rifle is not an accurate thing. It would be like calling a butcher knife an assault knife, a 10lbs hammer an assault hammer, etc. I’m just kind of a stickler for those kinds of things. I do wish they’d do another game on the ps5 but from what I’ve recently heard could be wrong but I think London studios pulled the plug altogether. I’m hoping not.
@@GameCircleTv I’m hoping that’s the case because it was so much fun despite the quirky mechanics but they were way ahead of their time. The storyline it would definitely make an excellent movie imho
@TheMrDarius well they did already have it sort of like a movie but an actual movie for it would be a great idea. I agree on the mechanics as well. Hard to get used to
The getaway has to much to live up to. The violence, profanity and grittyness would not hold up to well with todays generation. Not to mention the licenseing of the vehicles and shop fronts that was used in the 1st and 2nd would cost an absolute fortune now a days. If (by miracle) the getaway was to comback it would be heavily censered and the developers would try its absolute hardest to avoid making (what todays generation would deem it) a terrorist simulator.
What makes GTA different from everything you've said? with the exception of licensed cars, which are not mandatory, btw. Why can Rockstar make the same game you just described?
@@GameCircleTv Well in gta 3 they removed the twin towers from final release sue to sensitivity. And todays generation would not take kindly to you shooting up Buckingham Palace or even massacring picadilly circus. It would be absolutely censored and would just kill the idea of the game all together.
While I do see some of your points, trust me when I say there are no issues in making the Getaway 3. Again, Grand Theft Auto 6 is coming out next year, and they probably won't respect any of the cities, and we will all eat it up with no issues. The point is that they need to drop the Getaway 3 for all of us fans, including you, im sure you want to see the revival
@@GameCircleTv tbh I'm on the fence. The getaway would be an experience this day and age. But you keep comparing gta. Gta is pretty tame to what the getaway pulled off and got away with.
