    Important update in the Description.

    I personally own a mids legend and honestly vouch for how amazing it feels in my hand and ball travels effortlessly. The owner of the bat just pulled a D move by putting you in the middle. Whether you decide to keep or return the bat, it should be between buyer and seller. Simply ridiculous! Sorry mate that you had to go through this.
    Brilliant video as always! Huge fan

      Thanks mate, it continues as Mids is not happy now. see description.

      They can’t ask you to take it down. It is their fault.

    Thank you for the rant. Cheered me up no end. Please don't stop the reviews they help me when I'm knocking bats in. Can't believe what a c$%& the bloke was. Thanks again

    🤣had to laugh.. obviously a process was skipped at Mids.. If I was owner I would have shown a bit more appreciation of you identifying this. Good work mate. Keep shooting from the hip .. Cheers

    Very interesting video Marc. Don't get discouraged by the odd d head. Us bat Geeks love ya videos keep up the good work. I'm a big pakistani bat advocate but the cheap prices can result in shoddy products at times it seems.

    Another stunning independent bat review 👌
    Yea, always ask for best performance English Willow.
    I suggest you try to put some fun element in each of your bat review like in this one, really enjoyed 😉

      Might have been fun in hindsight but I blew a valve at the time. Picking up a 25 year old bat for comparison was me being lazy

    • @CricketBatInfo
      @CricketBatInfo  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks Stuart. It’s not my normal thing to crack a wobbly and cover this. If the owner had done the right thing I would have never encountered him or the bats. MIDs would have fixed this. Hilariously he was telling the seller he had no money to pay me $19 postage but spent $1400 on bats and I know he purchased more after.

    Many companies are not pressing willow properly or hard to make bat profiles big and light weight

    • @CricketBatInfo
      @CricketBatInfo  2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      True, but in this case I think they were so mesmerised by the willow appearance they forgot to press it 😂

      @@CricketBatInfo It shocks me how a company can sell a such an expensive product and it perform so poorly. Yes its a natural product but each company should have some sort of product testing for each bat to meet some sort of benchmark before leaving the shop. I Imagine they would not have sent a bat like that to a sponsored county / international player, they would uphold their standards and not send it. So why should we as the general consumer not be given what we pay for.

    Two things surprised me there
    1. I thought the bat was going to be better
    2. Jacob saying the bat was going to be a cannon, he never says that ever about any bat

    In my experience making and selling bats, the best thing about it is the customers, and the worst thing can be the customers. Not all of course just enquiries for 2lb 6oz bats with 40mm edges, 15 ruler straight grains and pings from the toe to the shoulder. Expectations vs reality.

    That's why I'm getting a Lachlan Fisher bat. Aussie made, has Aussie willow too. Half the price of this sub continent shit. A lot would be good but no value compared to Aussie Master bat maker.

    Jesus what a waste of money can’t sticker the bats properly (seriously annoying) and what’s worse they didn’t even press the bat properly. And they want to promote there brand? Common!

    I have repaired loads of MIDS Bats, every single one has been, in my opinion, total junk!!! Cheap handles, poor finishing, bad pressing.
    It really pisses me off how people think that the grade of willow makes a difference with performance. A grade 5 will perform just as good as a grade 1. The difference is that lots of grains will reach its peak performance quicker, but not last as long, less grains will take a little longer to reach peak performance, but the bat will generally last longer.
    I also make bats and generally wont use the very top grade as it can be brittle. I would say a grade 2 with no more than 8 grains gives a good balance between looks and performance. However, it must be pressed properly. Over pressing will make the bat too hard and feel horrible, under or soft pressing, and the bat will not perform properly as the energy is lost. Also soft pressing reduces the lifespan of the bat, it will be prone to delaminating and cracking.

      @Dave Hull really appreciate you commenting. Glad to see you provide this feedback. What’s your brand and are you interested in sending in a review bat? Pm the channel. Busy till June but would love to see your work and give viewers alternatives that I have not reviewed.
