The sequel is pretty different from the first movie. Like, the animation’s more advanced, there are more catchy songs but I won’t name names (ahem Pharrell’s Happy ahem), and Kristen Wiig as Lucy is a pretty fun character. Yeah @BatmanFan76, I also noticed that compared to the first movies animation (which had the movement of a direct-to-video cg film) the later films in the Despicable Me franchise has the animation and frame rate to become more fluid and cinematic, but that likely has to do with the later films having a $75-$80 million budget compared to the first movie’s $69 million budget.
This is my favorite movie from the Minion and Despicable Me franchise! It definitely seems to step up from the previous film and overall, it's just a great film and a lot of fun. One of the few animated movies I will always watch!
