would you be interested in giving us a "tour" of your test equipment and the more odd items in your tool kit? i would be interested in learning more about those fancy boxes you pull out for testing and diagnostics.
@@RetroComputingReboot i was referring to the test box you used for the caps. i have seen you use other gear that i would like to know more about. i come from the era of analog Volt-Ohm meters, tube testers, and maybe, just MAYBE (if you're lucky) an oscilloscope.
That's what I thought. I'd read that these caps can fail and give similar issues, so thought it might have been fixable. That Commodore IC though is seriously expensive to get hold of. I thought as well that it only faulted after it had been on for a while that it maybe from the caps warming up, but hey ho...
i loved my old 500. had a "Fatter Agnes" in it. i really enjoyed the Demos done by various groups. one of my particular favorite demos was "Spaceballs -- State Of The Art". it's still hard to believe this fit on a single 800K floppy disk. th-cam.com/video/89wq5EoXy-0/w-d-xo.htmlsi=uOfTvh2pRWtWSXzX
Hey John. I never had an Amiga, I was an Atari ST boy 😂. This one was given to me by my mother in law, so I don't know a great deal about Amigas. Other than paint it and replace the PSU, it's worked fine up until now. I probably need to get myself a properly broken one and see how I get on 😂

I'd be happy to. By fancy boxes though I'm not sure what you mean there...

that's kooky. with their age, i figured those 'lytics would have either dried out or broken down.
