It’s cool the way the donkeys come to y’all. When we were kids we had a mare that we rode regularly. My papa said she was a family horse since we needed the whole family to catch her. She was a sweet, gentle horse, but she would run away when we tried to catch her.
Out of all the homesteaders you have the most beautiful property. Everyone else just clear-cuts the trees and to me trees mean life! Plenty of shade for all the babies and such a calm and happy feel!

I came across the video yesterday of when you first got all the “donkey poodles” Houston and Emmalee were so little. Houston so excited and Emmalee scared of them. RJ is such a little cutie!

Rufus died with his boots on!!!!! So proud of him! He took his job as the patriarch and protector seriously. I feel privileged for having known him, and glad that his son, RJ, lives on in his memory.
