Maybe a little too many cuts, I think it ruins the natural flow of the conversation. If there's a little down-time in the conversation that's fine. I think it feels a little too frantic otherwise.
Honestly I disagree, I have a super short attention span and I was kept engaged by the constant flow of conversation. Maybe its because I was listening to this in the background rather than watching so I didn't really notice the jump cuts.
38:31 100% agree with this. As long as there's something you're passionate about, you'll be golden. 39:04 I also agree with this as well. There's a balance to it.
Thanks to Russ for his online guide to setting up my miyoo mini plus with onion OS - very straightforward - now I’m finding the perfect ROMs for my device !
Did you ever see My Dinner with Andre from back in the 1980s? You could add a little classical piano music and title this My Coffee with Adin. I could listen to y’all all night. Thanks for inviting me along.
1:02:10 I use minui and I named my folders 01) Nintendo Game Boy, 02) Nintendo Game Boy Color etc, the number parts will be hidden but they will be sorted that way
I think you guys should come together and do a show case of Sega fan games. The Sonic fangame community is huge and successful and beautiful and that's because Sega welcome the community with open arms. As long as you don't make money from their IP; they're enthusiastic. Look at Sonic Mania - that came out of a fangame. And now Tyson Hesse, who worked on Mania, is a producer on the Sonic movies. And a TH-camr who makes low poly did the outro to the Sonic 3 movie. How is Nintendo not looking at that and thinking they're doing it wrong? It just reaffirms my love for Sega.
I would love an updated, all inclusive guide to the Steam Deck. I haven‘t touched it after my first setup and I KNOW, there are so much more opportunities. I put in hall effect sticks, a bigger memory and checked the fan. Luckily I had the silent fan. Atm I‘m only collecting games. I‘m thinking about setting it up from scratch and would love a guide, especially from you. Just because you would make it so thorough.
Interesting you mentioned looking at the percentage of subscriber base with a video. I always wondered what metrics you try to optimise, as some accounts like RGC focus a lot on device reviews. I watched several videos when purchasing my devices (they are great!). But after buying, why watch all the reviews of all the devices afterwards? As opposed to accounts that cover eg retro game reviews (as that’s content a device owner will look for). To follow the audience lifecycle: look for a device (device reviews), setup the purchased device, choose games, etc. There are people constantly buying and setting up devices, are they a majority?
Reviews are the most successful videos. But a channel like TechDweeb is a great example of how generating videos that won't necessarily be "angers" but cater to your audience in a thoughtful way can create a very healthy channel
@@adinwalls very insightful thank you! I guess reviews are the starting point of the funnel and easy to understand if a larger view count and the space is still growing a lot, unless by successful you mean on view subscriber rate (repeat buyers/collectors? People take a long time to choose? 😅)
FARK! I had no idea about your health issues dude, I feel so bad for you. I rely on running a lot to make me feel happy or normal and I often think if it was taken away from me then I dont know what I do! I guess you cope somehow but the thought of it scares me.
it may be worth re-editing this and re-releasing it, I don't know if you can do that without sacrificing the existing views, but all the editing makes this really difficult to listen to
Awesome conversation between you two! Crazy anbernic won't send you devices. I've seen channels w way worse video quality and lower sub counts get early review devices from them. Maybe it's because you won't shill for them.
I have no idea. I've said good and bad things about them. For example everyone hates the switch style joysticks and I think they're great for the devices they're releasing.
Very respectfully, I couldn’t watch past a minute due to the jumpcuts.. I saw someone else post about it and I think you responded but I just wanted to second that opinion. Sorry :(
I've actually never been able to suitably accomplish this, there are others who have mentioned it but I generally have to uninstall one (and remove all of its data files) and reinstall, it's a major pain :(
@@RetroGameCorps Thanks for replying guys, much appreciated. I have tried lots of app cloning / parallel user space utilities and have not been successful so far. I would have thought that due to the nature of their very existence (hacks!) the NetherSX versions could co-exist quite easily, but I am no expert. Maybe one day something will change 👍 Take care, and thanks for all the fish 🐟🐠🐡
I got so many goodies at Russ’s garage sale. 🎉 thank you Russ
I was just happy to offload stuff to someone who would appreciate it! Thanks again for stopping by at the garage sale :)
Also, now you have RGC memorabilia! I made lite of there being no actual fans around, but had I been there, there'd be a bidding war 😂
That sounds like a fun garage sale! 😮
@@adinwalls Also I came wearing a pink RGC t-shirt to represent lol
@crystal_is_cozy lol awesome

I'm definitely doing that for future vids. I tend to agree.
Yeah I agree too many cuts. Let the conversation flow naturally, idc if the episode is a little longer. Good podcast though!
Feels like it was edited by AI
Agreed. The channel has lots of potential, but this editing choice was off-putting. Great stuff otherwise!
Honestly I disagree, I have a super short attention span and I was kept engaged by the constant flow of conversation. Maybe its because I was listening to this in the background rather than watching so I didn't really notice the jump cuts.
"It's Russ! Its going to be amazing!!!!"

39:04 I also agree with this as well. There's a balance to it.
Watching both of your guys videos made me purchase a switch by showing me these retro Nintendo games. I can understand from sides.
Just wanted to send respect Russ, I love his passion to share healthy / true knowledge, a real soul. Cheers Russ!
Thanks to Russ for his online guide to setting up my miyoo mini plus with onion OS - very straightforward - now I’m finding the perfect ROMs for my device !
Love the sharing. Thank you 🥰
God. Russ is such a sweet person. Great episode of the podcast.
I love how you mentioned that the last episode was going to be someone who is the least known in the scene. Lol. Awesome conversation and episode!
The GOAT! Always enjoy a Russ podcast! 🎉
Let's goooo!!!
Enjoyed that.
Same
Russ ia great! So easy to use retroarch after watching his tutorials. My only criticism is that he's not into knives :(
Haha yes that's a big problem with Russ
@adinwalls he was in the army so I feel like he has at least one cool knife in his possession.
@jinstinky501 hehe maybe

Legitimate discussion gentlemen 👍
The tentacle game is fun. I love Japanese games🥰
Day of the Tentacle. It's a Lucas Arts game. Essentially started the whole narrative choice based games.
Yay friend faces!! =D
Russ is the goat 🐐
I read a comment on Reddit once that really stuck with me. This isn't a gamer's hobby. It's a tinkerer's hobby.
I want to see Russ’s Japanese 3dS, jailbreaking it and turning into a a US version. Pros/ (if any) cons

I plan to dock my RP Mini and use it as a home console once we receive our RP5s.
Best overall handheld: ayaneo pocket evo. Best vertical: ayaneo pocket DMG
Don't worry Russ, Seattle basketball will be back soon
cool episode
Tell nintendo to leave Russ alone or the internet will come for them! This isn't a fight they want😅
it may be worth re-editing this and re-releasing it, I don't know if you can do that without sacrificing the existing views, but all the editing makes this really difficult to listen to
Hey there I'm aware of the issue and will be correcting it for future episodes. Sorry for the off putting edit!
@adinwalls all good man, i am subscribed so I'll be seeing future videos of yours
@afgh1408 thanks for sticking around
@@adinwalls we sbc bros gotta stick together 😎

The cuts made it sound like Russ was choking up while talking about the Nintendo thing
I don't think those were the cuts because I also thought that when editing. I just think it's coincidental.
@adinwalls I guess it was just an emotional topic
Who's football jersey is it?
Very respectfully, I couldn’t watch past a minute due to the jumpcuts.. I saw someone else post about it and I think you responded but I just wanted to second that opinion. Sorry :(
You should do an Adin plays the modern classics series where people recommend games you've missed!
Thats not a bad livestream idea
Russ made me want an rp5 =(
Ok but still do a RP5 starter guide lol
The constant cuts are very distracting. Nice podcast episode otherwise 😃
Thank you algo, thank you Adin!
if changes on your diet helped you u it probably depends just from one allergy…..
Lemme find out Russ is on Carnivore 😳
Is this your final video.
Of the podcast, yes
RUSS!
Please make a short video showing us how to have both NetherSX2 version installed simultaneously 💌💌💌
Is that possible?
@@adinwalls Yeah - Russ mentioned it on a reddit thread - Can you please ask him about it?

Take care, and thanks for all the fish 🐟🐠🐡
less than 1/5 of cancers are caused (also) from food… sadly
I think the cuts were made using AI. Sadly, makes it unwatchable.
Wanted to watch the video but the editing sucks
I find him disingenuous a lot, but he seems to be an ok guy.
