  • I spent nearly $1,700 on the "Complete Kranzle Pressure Washing Solution" from Obsessed Garage. You can find the link here: www.obsessedga...
    Normally, I'm a "buy nice or buy twice" kinda guy. So I was surprised when I had some issues with this set-up.
    Keep in mind, I'm a mobile detailer -- that's my perspective, and that's part of why I had this experience. Let me know what you think.

    Wow, I feel like I've finally made in the world to have other videos titled with my name. If I were a mobile detailer, I wouldn't want this either. It's too heavy and will have a tough time running on customers standard 15A outlets. The main advantage for you would have been the ability to beat the crap out of it and rebuild it. I guess the 50 hours of videos showing every single part and piece of this thing aren't enough to aid those in buying. I'll make some more. Ha, ha... The handle carry K1322TS or K1622 would be a better options. 1322 will also have a tough time with 15A, but 2 GPM from electric is pretty awesome. The 1622 is probably the best choice, but it only flows about 1.6. The QD on the end of the gun is a very simple fix. We now send replacement o-rings with the unit for those that lose them. Those are super cheap $8 fittings, but they are the best we've got in the world. I'm working with Mosmatic to have more precise ones made that won't fail as easily. I guess it's kind of cool that I now have haters that make stuff up. I make right at $500 on each one of these I sell before labor, transaction costs, taxes, etc. So my before expense margin is 31.8%. Calling it inflated would be a bit of a stretch since the sum of the parts are below MSRP or buying them from manufacturers. What I don't do is run 25% off sales or try and compete retailers that take stock photos and copy descriptions. I hope to provide people with more information to allow them to make a better buying decision. I think there is also a bit to be said that you sold it second hand rather quickly. My guess is that you didn't lose a whole lot either. I wish I had that luxury with everything that I bought and didn't like. It seems I do that weekly.

      Obsessed Garage Matt, I appreciate the reply. If people see the whole video I actually think it’s a positive review for the machine. You are clearly a guru in your space and you should be flattered that so many people have opinions. You are doing something right! As the little guy who spent way more than he ever expected to on a pressure washer...I learned my lesson. Sometimes, even nice things need fixing. You were very responsive with emails but I feel like 20% more emphasis on “what can I do to win this customer for life” could have prevented me going to TH-cam. There is no phone number to call for your business (I’m sure you’re busy but hey) and I went a month without getting the o rings you guys promised me had already shipped. I then emailed and asked about a return policy and was told it “was a small problem that should have a quick fix.” When in fact I just wanted to return it🤷‍♂️ Stuff can get diffused by talking to a customer over the phone. Emails aren’t always the easiest

    These pressure washers are definitely not for everyone and I can see why a lot of people balk at the price of the Kranzle as well as the attachments.
    That said, you’re going to have to bring more to the table than “it’s too heavy for a mobile detailer” which doesn’t make any sense btw because 1) you could just leave it in your rig and make use of the very long hose or 2) buy a smaller model instead that is basically just the pump and you would add your own reel etc to make it work for your particular setup.

    I started my hobby of detailing with my wife's Troy Bilt gas pressure washer. I bought the MTM swiveling sprayer and wand and the MTM foam cannon. After using the Troy Bilt for 5 washes it wouldn't start. I brought it in for service and they said it was due to a clogged carburetor. I had been using fresh non-ethanol gas so who knows why that happened. I decided that an electric pressure washer would be free of the problems of gas driven tools. My cheap friend recommended that I buy the cheap Sun Joe. I looked at the negative reviews on Amazon and decided that I didn't want a piece of Chinese crap. I finally bought the Kranzle. I've used it on two cars so far. I love it. I am completely unmechanical and I wanted to take advantage of OG's taking care of all the connection issues, so I'm willing to pay a little more. I note that the QD where the hose connects is leaking. I'll see if I can use tape on the threads. (I am not a fan boy of Obsessed Garage. My favorite TH-camr for detailing is Dallas Paint Correction.)

      @@jermanehoowse4618 The point of my post is to Hawk Pro Detailing and that Clickbait titles don't do it for me. The video was well made and presented with an interesting point of view but when someone says something in a title the contradicts it or adds a caveats 'if you are a mobile detailer dont buy it' i'm less likely to watch more of their stuff.
      As for your 'besides being an OG fanboy' comment, is that supposed to be an insult. I'm guessing a big reason the video was made and OG included in it title was to attract people with an opinion about OG. I take it you are an OG hater.

No not a fanboy (whatever your definition of that may be) I watch his videos as i find his ramblings amusing, his obsessed attention to detail a bit of a mirror of some of my patterns, and lengths he goes to extreme (but has some interesting nuggets of info in it on both a detailing, process management and business level)

    Honestly wouldn't buy a Kranzle especially from obsessed. I too fell for the TH-cam hype, got a pretty shady customer service. Everything they sell is overpriced, they claim that they barely make any profit. Anyway the main reason not to go with electric is the amperage. I got myself a gas powered Honda belt driven washer with 3500 psi and 3.5 gpm. Which I tuned lower, for the same price as these glorified electric washers. More power, more durability and much easier to use, more dependable for home and especially mobile. GO BELT DRIVEN GAS POWERED, GET RID OF ANY HASSLE.

    After seeing this video I was going to blast Hawk.. but reading the comments I see you are basically just sharing your thoughts. As others said, it is unfortunate you titled this with OG in it.. as Kranzle is not OG, though OG does have a custom made 1322 I think only they sell, which really seems like the one you should have gone for. It is the one I plan to get eventually myself. Some of the replies though.. man, makes me think they know Matt personally and dislike the guy or something the things they say. As if everything they buy is always at cost and nobody they buy from ever marks anything up to make a living. I am perfectly fine paying a little more out of, if anything, appreciation for the amount of time and money Matt (and team) has spent buying, learning, figuring out fittings, etc. I started down that path and came across his videos and it truly saved me a lot of trouble. Only wish I had the money right now to buy the 1322, or had waited to find out he was selling the Karcher setups before I bought a gas powered unit to do basic stuff. Keep on Matt/OG, not many tell it like it is like you do on your site and videos, well worth giving you my money over some unknown distributor that simply sells the unit for a little less. You sir have earned my business.

    I like the idea of the video and your conversation with Matt in comments section, but honestly speaking, I think you should change the video title since it will affect OG negatively ... especially that your title doesn’t specify that it is a NO for mobile detailer. +aaa I totally hear that. For me, the video was kind of a place for me to go after a frustrating customer service experience. I think, the longer I’m in business, that the buyer should beware. Seriously - OG isn’t a bad company, and they obviously did a great job of marketing or I wouldn’t have pulled the trigger. So as a buyer...I learned something. I’ve always thought up until recently... “buy nice or buy twice.” Did I expect the world out of the product and customer experience at that price point? Yes. Were my expectations met? Absolutely not. Were my expectations too high? Probably. So this is just my journey; my opinion, as flawed as it is; I want to be honest about the place I was coming from when I made the video. Bottom line, this machine is just too expensive. Yes, of course it’s high quality, but detailers are not Wall Street executives. The Kranzle, while offering good overall quality, does not provide good value for guys who need to start and maintain a profitable small business and purchase a hundred other things to stay in business. This is most likely why Matt is now selling Karchers and Comets. Reality of the customer and price point value.

    its a great machine but only for a beautiful garage and get the snall wall mount solution not this one These Keanzles aren't for mobile detailers. they are for detail shops or enthusiasts at home. get the Karcher K1700 or Ryovi 1800 portable unit for 100 if you're mobile. they last for like 200 to 300 car washes n then you replace them at Home depot. its a tool to make us $ not cost $. honestly id rather use my gas washer with 800$ honda motor and removable replaceable motor and pump ill just drop the pressure valve to 1200 psi instead of over 4000. im sure also throwing a 7.0 or higher nozzle tip on will get me close to 4gpm at 1200 psi for half the cost. its already 5 yrs old . works perfect. also have a Northstar 15anp electric water in a cart. it was 749$ with tip i get 950 psi and 2 2gpm. but can adjust to 2000 psi at 1.4 gpm
    Kranzle who?😅 jk. its a nice little unit but no way is it 1700 $ worth. that's like saying a Porsche 911 GT3 is worth 500k 😅😅😅. i get it though. if you rep a product you have to say it's the only one you should get. not true though.

Runs like it is brand new. I’ve never tripped a customer’s breaker (that includes using a foam cannon) and the quiet motor is beloved by my customers. If you’re not a wimp, a 55 pound pressure washer isn’t that bad to carry around. Now I know that the 1122 is much different, but even with that I don’t think I’d have problems using it mobile. Dude it might sound crazy...I'm using a $125 pressure washer from Sun Joe and it is great for the price!!

    • @rolandleies9765
      @rolandleies9765 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@HawkProDetailing I was considering the sunjoe SPX 3000 but my father-in-law (automotive detailer) just got one, which he loves other than he says it seems to draw enough current to dim his led garage lights and the pressure isn't as good as his simoniz pressure washer.
      So I'm looking to get one of those Karcher k1700 cubes for around the same price.
      What do you think?

  • @Patrick94GSR
    @Patrick94GSR 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Sooo the video title says people shouldn’t buy it, but then you say it’s great for someone using it in their garage but not for you as a mobile detailer. Right. Sort of contradictory. Also I’ve read about many people who fought with cheap crap PW’s and then got the Kranzle and described the step up in quality as life changing. Honestly I wouldn’t expect any mobile detailer to use anything other than a gas pressure washer. But obviously the Kranzle is great for someone working out of a shop or garage.

    • @HawkProDetailing
      @HawkProDetailing  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Patrick94GSR I mean I bought it for a reason. I thought it WOULD change my life:) 2 weeks in I couldn’t get it to work because of an o ring issue in the handle. Can you imagine spending that kind of money and having it go down on you 2 weeks in? I depend on my equipment to make me money as a pro. The handle had an issue on 2 separate occasions. For me at that price point I wanted it to be bullet proof-probably unrealistic. It works just fine now. It’s a great machine. But for that amount of money? I’m just sharing my experience of actually spending the money and getting it in the mail and using it professionally and that’s what I can share. But I’m sure it’s perfect for somebody who just uses it in the garage

    • @Patrick94GSR
      @Patrick94GSR 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@HawkProDetailing but the issue you describe is related to the MTM quick disconnect, not the Kranzle machine whatsoever. Matt has said there have been a few of those QD's (some percentage I can't remember) that haven't been up to par, but such is life with a consumable item like that. And of course the $1700 price is for the entire package with EVERYTHING included. The machine by itself is more than $500 less. I upgraded my GreenWorks last summer with the $150 MTM/Mosmatic gun/wand package and it was worth every penny. Hopefully you kept that stuff and only sold off the machine itself.
      Like I said, it seems fairly obvious that the K1122TST isn't really suitable for a mobile detailer, especially since it really needs a dedicated 20-amp electrical circuit, which I would guess you probably wouldn't find at most customers' locations. But that's surely no reason to tell the internet (generally) in the video title that it's not worth it. To many people, the huge jump in quality, relative quiet operation and water flow is worth it. I mean there's a reason why OG is sold out of this package almost ALL the time.

    • @HawkProDetailing
      @HawkProDetailing  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Patrick94GSR I hear you! And I guess that’s part of the appeal though. We trust matt to have it all dialed in and figured out. We are honoring the time he put into this - doing the work, buying the stuff, testing it out - and rewarding him and his brand with our hard earned money. I had the PERCEPTION that for the price...I wouldn’t have to figure much out. I wouldn’t have an issue within the first month that mandated me using my greenworks again. So I wanted to share my experience as a one man operation...hey, I don’t have a lot of money, I spent money on something I PERCEIVED to have a ton of value, here are my thoughts...that’s where I’m coming from with the video.

      Patrick94GSR There is a reason why og almost all the time is sold out on these kranzle packages , So many viewers that watch og channel... there are other retailers that do sell kranzle with cheaper prices. Og has own one for a few years now, way before he started as a retailer. He has spoken very highly about the kranzle, and for years viewers that watched his channel took the advice from a non experienced real life mobile Detailer.

    • @Patrick94GSR
      @Patrick94GSR 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@lunytoo please show me where in the US you can find the K1122TST for cheaper, especially when you add in all the accessories. If you were to source it all yourself from other retailers, between the time spent finding everything and making sure what you're ordering all works together, to all the shipping costs from the different retailers, I can almost guarantee you'll be more expensive than just buying it from OG. Not to mention the time Matt himself spent on his own dime ordering tons of different parts to determine what all works together, which to some people is worth quite a bit in and of itself. It is to me, which is why I ordered the MTM/Mosmatic gun and wand from OG along with the QD's instead of trying to source everything separately by myself.

      +lunytoo I guess I just bought into the whole package deal, ya know? The idea that he had curated this amazing set up through trial and error. • @lunytoo
      @lunytoo 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Funny how everyone thinks he thought of the idea first. He did in fact brought it up on his channel. Way before i ever bought my kranzle I had a gas power washer I been using on my Mobile, never did like the idea of using a long Rod, so same concept when you first opt your pressure washer they already come with quick disconnects and so the idea of using just the pistol with the psi nozzle works well. I’ve had plenty of Electric washers that did not hold up. Gas power is the way to go for Mobile. The reason I got a kranzle it’s well built Electric power washer to use a home... as I mentioned before I had plenty electric ones and they all never last. Matt started to use the same set up at his home way before he upgraded to the $4500. Model.... GGGRRRRR I NEED MORE POWER!!!!

    • @lunytoo
      @lunytoo 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Got you understandable. Here is why it is a deal package, I have spoken to the us dealers of kranzle, any one that can do a awesome job introducing, and reviewing, and new ideas about there products on TH-cam or on your very own web, can become a distributor for kranzle. The benefit of being a distributor you can market your suggested prices for these Products, adjusting prices here, and there. Witch is why I got mine as a steal. Also during that time Detailers Domain had a 25% discount at checkout. No big deal about the discount, but who does not love to get a great deal on a product.

    I understand you had an issue with the QC on the gun (probably just a simple o ring that literally takes 5 minutes to fix). From what I understand watching your vid you had no issue with the machine itself! I don’t believe the title of this video is fair to Matt and OG, they gave you what you paid for. It’s not their fault you didn’t have enough common sense to go to a local hardware store and buy a pack of o rings for $2 instead of emailing over and over to send you some? As for the model you chose, that unit obviously isn’t ideal for a mobile detailer, the K1622TS is a much better option for mobile detailers so maybe you should have done more research before spending 1k on a pressure washer 🤷🏻‍♂️

    You made two obvious mistakes. One: you bought from Obsessed Garage. You don't need stainless steel fittings, those are for the food industry. Nor do you need that Matt guy's inflated prices.
    Two: you bought a Kranzle with a trolley. Mobile detailers usually go for a small static machine in the Kranzle range. Yes they are heavy but they don't half work!

      @Hawk Pro Detailing: I'm in the UK, most EU models won't work on your 110v supply. Many mobile detailers here use Kranzle's K7/122 that is 7 litres/min at 122 bar by choice. (That's 1.85 US gallons/min at 1760 lbs/sq in.)
      It also sucks so it can draw from a bowser/tank.

      @@HawkProDetailing I think you'd like the K1622. It flows less, but weighs about 45 pounds and is more compact. It would be easier to throw in the trunk. You could run it on a regular circuit too. The main disadvantage is that it doesn't turn off. You absolutely want stainless fittings. All couplers and plugs are consumable and pretty crappy, but the stainless fittings don't corrode as quickly.

      he has never claimed to be a "real detailer" in the sense that it's not his profession. It's more of a hobby, but he just happens to make money as a retailer selling the stuff. There's nothing wrong with that. Plus he's trained with some of the best and most well respected detailers in the industry. Just because it's not his job doesn't mean he's not knowledgeable about detailing.
