Thanks for Watching!!!
Replace the capacitor, centrifugal start switch and bearings in the old motor and you'd have a good spare.
I think that’s my plan. It would be nice having an extra ready to go
👍👍😁thanks
Thanks for watching!
Good video Ross thanks 👍🏻
Thanks for watching!
Good to see the care package is helping.
Thanks Mike! It’s been super handy
HOLY KNUUTSON,it worked the first time good job Ross you are handy at a lot of things, just think of the time and money you saved
🤣 Thanks Doug!
We used a #5 galvanized wash tub and tarp strap to cover the motor. Just had to be ready with the wasp spray come fall.
That’s a good idea! Yeah that would be a nice place they’d like to make their house for sure!
Honestly, I'd be upset if you got another job and stopped making videos. I've watched other channels before, and have lost interest. I dont make a big deal about it though. I just found others that do catch my interest
Nice video Ross.
Thanks Larry!
Ross, anti seize that shaft and pulley system. You don't have to cut anything Ross, they make 90 degree angle guards for wiring to go into control box, all you'd have had to do was change the connector end on the conduit.
Hey Ross, Chris might need some encouragement on fixing his tractors hydraulic problem.
🤣🤣🤣
Education with humor , my daily fix . Thanks Ross , see ya tomorrow
Impressive that it run and run in the right direction on the first attempt. I take 30 round up barrels and cut out an opening so that it fits over the motor and use tarp straps to hold them on so the wind can’t take them across the county.
I'm glad for the"Gladness"!
Thanks Robert!
Hey buddy, you did a good job there. I'm proud of you. Lol.. I agree, some kind of shelter would probably keep it lasting longer. See you in the next one.
Thanks Jonathan!
That motor should last you for many years to come.
great job and a cover is not bad idea
Excellent job!!! A cover on it would be a good idea not just the water getting into it but the hot summer sun is tough on the internal parts also.
Not to mention dry rotting the belts.
Glad you got it going. That can be a nightmare sometimes
great job
In the movies it's always the blue wire... cut the blue wire ! " BOOM " 🤣
This reminds me of one of my fav Hogan's Heros episodes. Hogan and Klink are disarming a bomb. Hogan asks Klink which wire to cut. Klink picks the white wire, so Hogan cuts the black one instead as he knew Klink would pick the wrong one. 💥
@@jackmanatee3162 I remember that one, My Dad was a POW from May 10th 1944 until the end of the war. He didn't talk about it until Hogan's Hero's came out. but he told us how it really was, because he didn't want us thinking it was like that.
@@paulcrawford8425 I was always intrigued by Werner Klemperer, whos family had fled Nazi Germany in the 30's, and the fact that he only agreed to portray Col. Klink if he was assured he'd always be seen as a fool.
Robert Clary was in one of the death camps, and showed his number tattoo on one of the talk shows.@@jackmanatee3162
🤣🤣🤣
I'm running two weg electric motors and I'm happy with them for the price. Just an fyi. Nice job👍
I’ll keep that in mind. Thanks!!
Great video and great job on the project. Always nice when something goes right. I think you'll be good for long time. Just a little roof over and you'll be good to go. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks Keith!
The technical term for that box on the motor the wires are in is “peckerhead”. There are lots of “peckerheads” where I work and a few electricians.
You’re the man Ross ! Where’s that can of “Liquid Wrench” I saw recently ?
🤣 Probably long gone
You were lucky on the initial electrical hookup. I'm usually not that fortunate...gotta have a moment of sadness reversing connections LOL
🤣 Thanks Don!
Good job Ross I like the Gladness
Thanks Stephen! I do to for a change 🤣
Ross Electrical Co. has successfully installed the motor and no one was electrocuted! “Gladness “
🤣 Thanks John!
Don't cut it off , use a 90 on the seal tight connectors
Yeah, I wish I had waited a day. You’ll see in another video what I ended up doing.
Mr. Ross you can turn the peckerhead
on most motors at least 180 degrees.
There are numerous options when ordering
them that pertain to orientation.
Another job well done
Thanks David!
Well done Ross 👍🏻🇺🇸
Thanks!
ours always sat there with a bushel basket over it
That’s what we did with our roll away auger all the time. Thanks Steve!
I look forward to a morning Ross video. What's wrong with me.
Sweet bud looks better hope help
Thanks Alex!
should be aqble3 to remove the j box from the motor and rotate a quater turn.
Do not care what them people say Water and Electric does not mix be a good idea to cover it up at least for the little roof on it with a couple little pieces down the side for the weather not to blow up underneath it I cover all my Motors outside including my h a y elevators and everything
What I was trying to say on this one is
the hole could be moved to the top. To
let you wire from top down not bottom up.
👍👍👍👍👍
Cut the bottom off of a 55 gallon plastic drum or cut the side off of a 30 gallon plastic drum.
That’s an excellent idea! I’m gonna have to scavenge and see what I can come up with.
I was waiting for a mouse to run out of the auger, and up your pant leg. Watching Ross do a Sunday morning shuffle would have been entertaining! 😂😂. At least you have a like new shovel laying on scene to clean up all of that high priced corn. 😢😢. Since you're have such a good day, and it has been lucky for you so far, you should go buy a couple of lotto tickets, then you wouldn't need to worry about getting another job to please certain viewers! 😮
Maybe a good size garbage can, would just slide around the motor and auger to keep the weather off all of it
Electrifying, shocking-NOT. Put a house over it and the wasps will come. We used to get electric motors re-wound but now finding someone that can do that is nigh on impossible. Good Sunday morning. Your appearance on 2 videos today was quite the event.
Wasps, spiders, mice, anything looking for shelter and food.
25-30 years ago a friend told me he had a motor rewound at a cost within $5-10 of a new one. It lasted a day or two!
In the oil patch, we constantly had at least 3 motors in the re-wind shop. Lightning was attracted to those pump jacks out in the fields or the powerlines leading to them. We trenched in most of the long power feeds, simply because the farmers wanted the power poles out of their fields. Lightning still has the motors and the underground cables. Of course, that was better than hitting a near-empty tank in the tank battery. The crude oil vapors in the empty tanks when exploding would cause those 210-barrel metal tanks to take off like a rocket. We have found them almost 1/2 mile away. Even the salt water ( a brine with every element known to man) tanks would explode when a welder was trying to repair a leak. I blew the top off a tank trying to patch a 210 tank. Luck was on my side as it could have blown out right where I was at. @@danjosephson6910
Call it the 50% right, 50% wrong, and 10% getting it right. That means your going to have something wrong 9 times now in the future. Have a good day!
🤣 Thanks Mike!
We have a local motor repair shop but for a $350 motor it's almost never worth getting them to fix it
Most of those make up boxes can be flipped 180… not that it helps ya now! 😂
Yeah, that’s a bad thing about the comment section. It’s already over by the time I see it. 🤣
When I saw “Gladness” I immediately clicked …this never happens.😂
How come you don't show your dad or your grandpa's in your video
Dad has been in several and grandpa said he doesn’t want to.
Ross, looks like a big rat's nest of wires. Look like you managed to tackle this challenge for today. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Thanks Michael
shrinkwrapisaboutlikebale net wrap a ttal pain in the butt.
👍👍👍
Thanks Paul!
