I love telling myself stories that I'm going to or not going to do something to make it easier next time, just like I'll fix it this winter when I have time, and now spring is here and the struggle is real! Ugh!!
So you have a farm dog is this the farm chicken or supper. We had some good rain ,corn is spiking and beans are swollen up . Beautiful day here Tuesday it is 74 n sunny hope you get in the field soon . From turkey creek farms be safe n thankful
That is definitely a bad day when the 3 bolts in center don’t line up. I made some long puller bolts to pull them together. White does have a damn good planter.
Seems like an endless progression of upkeep on planters. Spring colds suck. I used to get one about half-way thru planting season. Combination of dust, getting caught in the rain, and not as much rest as needed.
Interesting video o always check for a video from you everyday and seems there is always a video so thanks very much I really enjoy your videos. This may be a dumb question are these planters adjustable for row width ? Lots of money in those planters.
on our 5100 the dealer said to take the seed discs out becausr with them tighten up and setting till next spring would warp the seed discs!!!!!! l will be watchin!!!
I'm not sure you will live long enough to get the crop in, but I will come to the sale if you don't. You might have to quit hanging around those kids on the school bus. they spread all kinds of stuff.😉
What we have to do im like I want it work trouble free went go to field good job I'm been busy too yes manfold is square port for my 1750 if u have one let know if want to part with it thanks
I’ve been watching your channel for awhile now and my biggest fear is that you’re going to wear that hammer out eventually.😜😜 Bolts will stay tight if you grind them to a point.
This would have been the time to explain HOW the 5100 works. What makes it different from a plate planter. Instead we watched you beat on wheels in your messy work area!
good luck planting season
Planter is ready to do you a good job. Hope you are feeling better. 👍👍
Thanks Tom!
Motivation strikes
Motivation can strike all day long, Ross isn't union. 😂
@@ThatOliverGuyChris 🤣
It’s few and far between when that happens 🤣
Thanks for the video and good luck with the planting!
Thanks Jeff!!
It all looks soooo familiar.
Twilight zone….
Nice rip at 10:06!
🤣🤣🤣 i’m not sure that’s what it was but it sure sounds like it. I usually try to edit stuff like that out
Spray down the adjusters with fluid film when you park the planter this season....And anything else you don't want to rust over the off season
That’s a good idea!
The updated ones rust up too.
So true.

Yeah, spring snuck up on me even though I thought I was super prepared.
That’s some damn good cough medicine if it translates chicken talk!
The way society is going maybe the chickens are going to emerge as the superior race
I think that ' cough syrup' you took last night before you worked on the county equipment brought you around nicely.🤠
It doesn’t hurt anything 🤣

The prophetic farm chicken! Thanks Earl!!!
I believe that I have 2 of them at the farm that will be going on the farm sale In Delphi Indiana.
Cool!
What happened to the red pliers ?😁thanks Ross, feel better. God Bless
I’m gonna have to look I don’t know why I haven’t been using them. I put them in the drawer in the service truck and just never grabbed them again
👍👍👍
Thanks Paul !
Speaking chickens this could be lucrative!!!
🤣 thanks John!

Thanks Mike! The air meter is pretty excellent even today.

So true. It’s bad getting sick right during the time when you’re going to be taxing yourself to the limit
Ross needs a new planter
I just got this one a year ago. It just needs maintenance. I should’ve done it all at once but I didn’t.
@@rosstheoliverman I’m not a Deere guy by any means but in Ohio the jd 7000 is the gold standard
Interesting video o always check for a video from you everyday and seems there is always a video so thanks very much I really enjoy your videos. This may be a dumb question are these planters adjustable for row width ? Lots of money in those planters.
Thanks John! Yes these planters are adjustable
The farm iron is a money pit. I am looking at options for better closing wheels for my 7000 and it's basically $250 a row. Maybe next year.
What powers the blower?
Hydraulic motor. Sometimes they run them off a separate pump but I’m running it off the tractor hydraulics.
Ross is tripping “I swear that chicken spoke English “
I have some questions to ask it I wish it would talk some more
@@rosstheoliverman omg Ross you are a man of mystery’s
@@rosstheolivermanI think the first question I have is which came first, the chicken or the egg.
on our 5100 the dealer said to take the seed discs out becausr with them tighten up and setting till next spring would warp the seed discs!!!!!! l will be watchin!!!
I had them out most of the winter. Then I decided I’d get a jumpstart putting them in and I should’ve waited to the last minute.
Hi Ross, any idea why White painted their implements red and not silver or Meadow green?
I guess they were trying to accent the silver color. That was probably the genius of Shinidota and Knutson.
How many acres of corn and soybeans do you plant Ross?
It just varies. I usually do like 2/3 soybeans and 1/3 corn.
So… what advice did the chicken give?
Look both ways when crossing the road
I'm not sure you will live long enough to get the crop in, but I will come to the sale if you don't. You might have to quit hanging around those kids on the school bus. they spread all kinds of stuff.😉
🤣🤣🤣
Another good one Ross. You are sounding better. A lot of maintenance on equipment, a lot of people don't understand that part. Take care.
Thanks Keith!
You still can hear that crud in your voice. Get weelleer soon.
Thanks Pal!

Thanks Donald! I’ll check and see if I have one.
Have you been taking your RX of 🥃🥃🥃🥃🥃💊💊
Only the dose I prescribed myself 🤣
I’ve been watching your channel for awhile now and my biggest fear is that you’re going to wear that hammer out eventually.😜😜

That hammer is super awesome. I’ve had several of them and I love them
I thought chickens spoke French?
🤣🤣🤣
Is that just a bean planter?
Yes

I believe I explained all that last year in the video.
