- My first ever flight review was on the Qantas A380 in First Class….now 4 years later I’m getting the chance to experience it again. Flying from Sydney, Australia all the way to London Heathrow in the pure luxury of Qantas First Class on the Airbus A380.
This Qantas First Class flight review covers my entire journey starting at the iconic Qantas First Class Lounge in Sydney. We take off and head to Singapore where I check out the brand-new Qantas First Class Lounge at Singapore’s Changi Airport. Our journey then continues on to London Heathrow - along the way I’ll show you the Qantas First Class seat, service and entertainment system. And it wouldn’t be a Qantas First Class flight review without the famous Qantas PJs!

Hell no. You pay thousands. I eat and drink everything in sight. Passes the time and a buzz blocks out the idiots nearby.

You’re absolutely not alone in that. While I was working for airlines and had access to business class I tasted everything. I knew it wouldn’t last and now I left the industry, it’s back to monkey class. Suffice to say I don’t enjoy that very much.
my grand father flew for qantas for 43 years he flew the queen from LHR to SYD and was there longest serving pilot, he flew the 707, 767, 747-200 ,747-400 and to finish off his career 5 years on the A380 and for 4 years was the general manger of all boeing 747 for qantas

In this economy, at my age, even with a “good and stable” job, I’m think home ownership is not in my future. So. My 5 year plan is to experience First Class on a long haul flight. Until then, thanks Dennis, I fly F vicariously through you!
If that's the case avoid Qantas and go for an airline with better first class like the newer SQ A380

They're retiring the 747's by the end of the year. Never got to fly on one
Hopefully I can just maybe make a 747 flight to Tokyo on Qantas
Apparently the 747 is flying routes to Tokyo until January. (QF25 and QF26)
I took the A380 from DFW to SYD & it was the BEST flight I've ever taken, long, but it was fantastic!!!

I especially enjoyed your trying the seat features and of course, all of that lovely grub. A lot of the offerings were new to me (the duck pancakes for instance) and makes me want to search them out and try them. Flew QF1 & QF2 in 3A both ways last year. Loved it. A seats are definitely the best (although sitting in first you'd really be happy in any seat, lol)

I like the way you touch the skin of the plane by the door as you enter the plane. That’s something I have always done also. I first flew from the USA to Australia at the age of 6 weeks in 1954. So, yeah, I know my long haul travel. 😂

I had the chance to experience both the new (on my way to sydney) and the old cabin desing, although in economy. I must admit the new desing I found much better, which the IFE being must better.
Love watching your videos!! And now even more looking forward to flying QF1 and QF2 (Or QF9) soon.
The thing that makes Qantas the best is the feeling of home, bias aside, Aussies are great and chill people and it's great to be surrounded by them after being abroad for a while.

Another fantastic review. I ended up flying WLG->MEL->BNE last year just to try Singapore's A350 Business class after your review of that. Didnt disappoint, even on just a 4 hour flight. Not quite good enough to make me want to do the transit each time rather than flying direct, but fantastic nonetheless. Got lucky with a free upgrade to Qantas 737 business class for the leg to BNE as well :)

Glad you're back! I know that some people would prefer a non-stop flight from Sydney to London but to me there is a whiff of the golden age of travel with a stopover. Too bad the stopover wasn't a wee bit longer...you could have squeezed in a shower AND a few drinks. 🙂😄That shower and the lounges were amazing. Wonderful review, as always.

I did this flight in reverse (LHR-SYD) in January. It’s extremely comfortable, staff were great, food was delicious & the new first lounge was great (even if packed with other fliers) but I still felt something was missing. I’d flown business with Qatar on my way to LHR & that felt more special. I was hoping for a refurb on my trip, but sadly not to be. #firstworldproblems

That taste of Australia plate looked delicious! Been following you for about 2.5 years, maybe a little longer, but have gone through your entire back catalogue in that time so was nice to take that journey back in time.
