I was 12 days shy of being 3 yrs old when Elvis passed and this is one of my earliest memories...I'll never forget where I was.... I was returning home from a camp trip at Lake wappapello in Missouri with my father driving and me setting between he and my mother in the front seat of my dad's new 77 Chevy. I was seating on the seats fold down arm rest as most kids did back then and I remember hearing the King was dead on the radio and my mother immediately gasped and began crying so I started crying because she was crying... a very sad day!! And wouldn't you know it, I'm a musician now, a guitarist and singer. Even though my family is musically inclined I still believe this early memory has a lot to do with my success in music.
@@RuthStreet-p7y Read and listen to the lyrics! I was only 4 years old when Elvis passed away. Grew up listening to Elvis and I remember seeing the funeral on TV. This song is a very fitting tribute to him.

He said God gave him a gift. Elvis was the best & he had the most precious ❤! May he rest in peace with Our King Jesus.🙏✝️🥰
Who ever sings this , should put Prince's ending to "Purple Rain" to it, The "ooh-who-oo-whoo", at the end. It ends on the same exact note as Prince's song ends. It would sound so pretty-- AND, add his guitar solo, too.
