Wonderful video. I have taught 2000 or more keyboarding students. Today after the video, one young man, decided to give this stuff a try in Micro type. He went from 20 gwam to 64 with no errors:) Boy was he happy. His keying grade went from D to an A+!!
bizedrocks - Very cool tips, especially the coin tip. . . The 'dude' helped me to adjust my seat height to get elbows and legs in correct position in relation to the keyboard. Thanks! Is there any way that you might produce a video showing proper motion while the fingers navigate the keyboard, say like an overhead or 'point of view', so we can see what it looks like to type at normal speed. That is something lacking in youtube videos! Anyways thank you very much! I feel much better just typing this comment! BTW, I am trying to improve from 35 WPM, so this feels like it may really help. Thanks!

i never got the attachment with The Dude on it. i need it so i can have my shoulders relaxed, i can sit at a 90 degrees angle, have my wrists straight, look directly at the monitor, and have my feet flat on the floor. This took me forever to type because i don't know how to do any of those things i just typed.
+saleem raja ; I think once you are positioned like 'the dude' at around 30 second mark, that should tell you where the keyboard needs to be. . . Hope that helps. I had to adjust my seat height to get elbows and thigh position right, then keyboard belongs under where your hands are in relation to how your body is in the illustration. That seems to be a variable, due to height, arm length, etc.
