    Great job! Never knew the scrub brush could be an added attachment for power washing! You're great at choreography. Keep'um coming.

      @@DanealLanier I was very impressed that a DIY type video where you know more than most people who install! I'm located in Pittsburgh. I would love to help in any way I can with a collaboration!! We recently started a TH-cam channel under our business name Rolling Hills Landscapes. I subscribed to your channel. I really enjoyed the handful of videos that I watched so far. Keep it up!

      @@john_linder I was confused by him dumping so much of the polymer sand off to the sides if the pavers like that. Since you do this professionally can you explain if that is a good thing or not and why? I assumed it to not be a good thing but I can be wrong and if its not good then some professional constructive criticism would be great so we can all learn. Thanks

      @@megansmith1382 It won't hurt anything other than use extra poly-sand. It will activate with water and usually turn into rubber strips that could be picked up later. It is impossible to keep 100% of the poly on the pavers, some will always end up getting outside of the paver field.

    Nicely explained. Thanks for the extra details provided. We'll done, sir... any advice on saving an older paver walkway that's been neglected for years?? Moss, weeds, and some pavers on a downhill slope... bought our first home and previous owners seemed to be against any kind of upkeep. Stuff it failing daily. Just asking is there any type of "band-aid" to hold stuff together before full reno? Like a cheaper paver sand, bury a bodies underneath, etc etc,?? I don't know, just trying to push off major job cost for a few years

    Great video! Are there any issues with the sand on the sides of the pavers in the mulch potentially getting wet? Do you just let that blow away in the wind?

    Its good to know that you can redo the polymeric sand as a refresh.
    I am using different level pavers on the original build. Putting in the extra sand will help me o insure that they are even.
    Thanks

    Can we do it without surface cleaner? And what did you use to tamp down the sand when you lifted pavers? Brick?
    Thanks!

    Did U use a turbo nozzle to power wash? Also I see u used the polymeric sand from the big box store. I’d recommend buying better sand from a Brick & Stone supply place. Better quality. Also follow directions on back of poly sand container. It should be sprayed 3 times over like half hr to an hr to fully saturate the sand. Always follow the directions. Otherwise good video

    You need the plastic, or metal edging to hold the pavers in place

    We just set our perma sand today. We noticed that we have a few flawed areas that can use some more sand. It has hardened by now. Not yet 24 hours. Can I reapply more perma sand and water it again? Or are we stuck with the imperfections?

    • @DanealLanier
      @DanealLanier  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So sorry for the delayed response. I hope you went ahead and worked in some new sand. It's better to dig out the imperfection so the new sand can get all the way down into the cracks. Great Video. I just did mine as well.Next time pour less sand and you will have less spillage on the sides( flowerbed).
      I had to go outside today and sweep off my extra sand on the pavers because I used a little too much.
      I had enough extra that I used them in the cracks by the driveway..lessen learnt for me.
