We visited the Rum House as we were staying at the Eddison next door.... Was the most expensive bar I've ever been to..... In the world.... Almost 50 dollars for two regular rum and cokes..... Never again... Robbery.. But loved NYC on the whole

It was our fifth trip so we don’t really do ‘tourist’ things and this time enjoyed a trip to Hoboken, NJ also. Guess what.....on the Sunday prior we were stood in the queue at Juliana’s Brooklyn and a certain Sarah Funk walked past us!!!! I recognised you straight away but you looked like you were in the middle of a tour (alone with a male who was filming you!) so never got a chance to say hi xxx

Well, maybe... BUT....a tour " expert" that is telling you about Manhattan, yet can't say "ManhTTan "..,it's not pronounced "Manha-un ". And worse, in a funny way. Don't necessarily follow her advice on which Broadway show to see...especially if she's telling you how Tony awards and "OLIVER" awards something won. I would look for a show that had won "OlivIER" ( LONG " A" at the end dear.) And telling you don't ever stop in the middle of the sidewalk, AS SHE'S STANDING IN THE MIDDLE OF THE SIDEWALK TO TELL YOU: DONT STOP IN THE MIDDLE OF A SIDEWALK. When you go to NYC, IT CAN be both wonderful and scary/dangerous...be sure you get good,practical advice! Have fun, but always be aware of your surroundings!

Great video. No matter how many times I go to NYC, there are still so many new things to do and explore. I do love to walk through Times Square to experience the light show and the vibe, but I get out as quickly as possible as it's just too crowded. If there isn't a video already, there is the gentle area west of Central Park - activities: museums, Lincoln Center, cafes.
I stay at the same hotel in Midtown every time! I try to visit at least twice a year so I feel like I really know this area well by now. I think first timers would be REALLY surprised to see how small Times Square itself really is!
Midtown is literally, THE CENTRE OF NYC! And while Times Square is a tourist trap, I still go there for M&Ms World and Midtown Comics. Top of The Rock still has some of the best views of NYC especially from a photographer's perspective. I like taking photos of The Manhattan skyline with The ESB in the centre.
Los Tacos is so good I just went to the Chelsea market location today and had the steak taco and the cactus taco, honestly give the cactus one a try it was a really good vegetarian option and it was so tasty!!!

Just back today from New York and we stayed at the hotel edison which is in a great area.however most places we went to eat at were a bit expensive but it never stopped us from enjoying ourselves.we went up the empire state building,went to 9/11 memorial and museum plus saw Tina Turner show at the LUNT FONTANNE THEATRE.so we did a lot in 4 days.came across those in costume but didn't entertain them by getting our photos taken with them.Great city and going back next year but will certainly check your vids out first Sarah.

This is where I spent most of my time on my fantastic trip to NYC two years ago. I did all those things! Except for a Broadway show. Was at Carnegie Hall instead - an incredible experience there!
The transformation of Times Square is just mind boggling as a child we all avoided the area, as teens we snuck to go lol I even took an exchange student one time haha crazy difference since Disney entered, its been 30 years I can’t wait to take our crew thank you for these videos ❤️
I get off a cruise in Cape Liberty next June and will be staying an extra 2 days or so, the remainder of the friday and full day saturday. What is the best way to get to Midtown from the cruise port? and what should be do with the little extra time?
We were there recently for the first time. Our favorites were the Flatiron area, got gelato and listened to musicians at Madison Square Park, Bryant Park and the NYC Public Library, Grand Central Station, saw St Patrick’s Cathedral, Central Park, got pastries and sat at Washington Square Park, walked around Greenwich Village, walked around financial district area, 9/11 Memorial, and Trinity Church. We were in Times Square for just a few minutes and were over-stimulated immediately, so we got out of there as fast as we could.
Super interesting video! I loved HP as well -- I saw it in NYC, and I'm going to it's opening here in San Francisco. Will definitely have to check out The View. Wow! That event in Times Square looked awesome! The Rum Bar looks like the perfect way to top off the day!
