In a series that lays out the neighborhoods of New York City, this video covers Midtown Manhattan. Whether you live in NYC or visiting, you will most likely find yourself in the clutches of Midtown Manhattan at one point or another. It makes sense. It has central hubs for both local city and out-of-state transportations, live entertainment from Broadway to comedy clubs, Michelin dining to hole-in-the-wall joints, contemporary art, classical architecture, etcetera.
Midtown Manhattan is massive. It’s dense. And it’s smack right in the middle of the city.
We are going to cover it at a 10,000-foot view in rapid fire. This is not a video that you watch at 2X speed. Feel free to pause and rewind and know that each area that we are going to cover is a subject of a potential future video in and of itself.
If you are moving to NYC or visiting, this is a great video to watch.

What I love most about living in Queens near a subway station is that Midtown is only 20 minutes away on the E and F Trains.

It's funny how being in a "central" or "prime" location in NYC is based on the available subway stops.

Greta videos. I am looking to purchase a home in NYC. But want to get a feel as to where I want to buy. Was looking for homes around Central Park. I probably will go and stay for a month or so just to get a feel as to the area but would love to have a professional guide to show me around. Do you have any recommendations for guides? Also once I do purchase, where do individuals purchase furniture and the things needed to furnish a home. Would like to purchase all new furnishing and art. Great videos once again.

8:26 This is actually the Met Life Tower (Metropolitan Life Insurance Company Tower) not to be confused with the Met Life Building attached to Grand Central Terminal. The New York Life (Insurance Company) Building is at 51 Madison Ave, and was the site of the earlier Madison Square Garden arenas (immediately northeast of Madison Square Park).

No way does any source say that Turtle Bay extends to Fifth Avenue. It’s debated whether the western boundary is Third Avenue or Lexington Avenue, but NEVER is Fifth Avenue discussed as being one of its borders.

Your boundaries of Midtown Manhattan are way off. From East to West 2nd Ave to 8th Ave, North to South 59th Street to 32nd Street. From that point down to 14th Street is Chelsea on the West side and Kips Bay and Flatiron on the East side. Below 14th Street begins Greenwich Village both West Village and East Village. Then you begin to get into Lower Manhattan with Soho etc. The 20's to 14th Street is not Midtown Manhattan. Where is this chick from originally ? Kuz you must be some transplant.
