I love the video! However, my only hesitation for not including it on my personal ASMR playlist is the loud introduction-in future ASMR calligraphy videos, would it be alright to change the introduction so it had different (or even no) music? Love the videos by the way!
Fun Fact: Copperplate is the known style of Timothy Matlack who was a brewer during the American Revolution that found himself as a scrivener for Declaration of Independence. A scrivener is a person with expert penmanship and excellent handwriting that is responsible for writing important legal documents. Thank you for the video.
I was taught calligraphy many many years ago. My teacher always said, "calligraphy is the art of drawing words, not writing them". Most fellow calligraphists had dreadful handwriting, but their calligraphy was beautiful, as they were amazing drawers. My father was a professional calligrapher too, and his writing in birthday/christmas cards was really horrible LOL! There is a big difference between handwriting and calligraphy. They are not the same thing.

I feel like the sounds calls me down sooo much but when you just swipe it to make like the cool lines it always scares me because I'm like calm and then I'm just like oh ya I'm watching this lol.
I would love to learn how to write like this. Wow. How did you learn this and become so good? Just purchased my first calligraphy set with dipping ink but I'm no where NEAR this in my skills. Your writing looks almost fake. Literally perfect
This isnt writing per say. Calligraphy is the art of drawing words, not writing. You cant write a letter like this, not unless you have several hours. I know may calligraphers who have dreadful handwriting, as the two are totally different.
You just have to slow way down like this person is, and practice, practice, practice. I'm talking daily for many months. I'm talking lines and lines of ovals, lines and lines of u/i shapes in a row. Tracing and freehand. It's not a quick process.
Bender Bending Rodriguez it’s not because we started writing with our left well in my case I only know how to write with my left so the movements are natural to us. But depending on your style of writing there are some moments where it does get a bit awkward for your hand.
Is that pen specific, special for left handed people? Asking because I am left handed and i had, have a straight pen but i think I made messes, smudges.
They do make mistakes, but I also find this interesting or at least surprising that where the worry should make it difficult to relax it's the gnawing scratching sound is really all im hear for. like itching a mosquito bite.

All nice and all, but it is wrong to write while pushing. You should only write by pulling the pen. It is anoying to see him/her write this way, because it destroys the pen and the paper

This helps my daughter sleep. But the ads distract her or startle her. Wish I could bottle these sounds up for her.
