Lol…around the time this album came out, I was asked to create a National library poster campaign to raise awareness for kids to read more. I was stuck for ideas and deadline looming. I was listening to this album and I thought “Traveling without Moving”. Reading takes you places without having to leave the library or your bedroom. I worked it up and they loved it and it became the campaign. Thanks Jay Kay for your inspiration.

Jamiroquai were genuinely my first music love/obsession. In the 90s as a school boy they were my first proper gig. But way more than that, they were truly the coolest sound and nothing has ever come close to captivating me in the same way. Everything about Jamiroquai shouted niche, cult and against convention, but still blew the world to shreds by being ridiculously popular. Being a bit of a music geek even as a child, I totally understood the bands direction and how they managed to create a form of acid jazz that has never felt so intense. I'm a complete fanatic on everything acid jazz and even to this day I don't think anyone can do acid jazz any better. Jay was always my version of the coolest white man on the planet. I will pass this short live, never to be swayed from my opinion.
Jamiroquai have been the soundtrack to my life, even if for long periods I didn't listen. I guess as extreme as it sounds i was trying to keep my own link sacred to me. As someone a bit more settled now, I can now embrace it with nothing other than love. Just never forget the headphones, that's my advice. Never half listen to their catalogue. Personal loud headphones moments and you understand my passion and I bet ya you'll get my passion.

It’s a shame that Frank Zappa died around about the time that Jamiroquai were just starting out. I think they could have made an interesting collaboration if things had been different and ill health hadn’t took him so early. It’s just a bizarre thought! 😜

@c.samuels87 have you ever heard of the Latin equivalents to Jamiroquai? Los Amigos Invisibles? if you have not, i will gladly recommend albums and tunes; they do old school Latin music from the 70s - 80s, salsa, tropical, bossa nova, son, acid jazz, funk, disco; they were even produced by Dimitri from Paris and Masters At Work.

And my dad’s father is buried at a cemetery just off the interstate 79. He was electrocuted in the mines back in 1956, so I never got to know him. My dad was 9 years old at that time
My dad’s grandfather lived in a small 2 room shanty in Buckhannon. He lived to be 106 years old. I remember going there and there being bleach jugs with the tops cut off all over the house. They were all full of his tobacco juice 😆
My sister accidentally knocked one of them over Easter of 1979… I remember this too… she had her nice white Easter outfit on, only to be covered in brown tobacco juice and hawkers by the time we left there 😂

Just to add to my massive love rant. I have to say that I might be guilty like many fans of gushing like crazy over their first 3 LPs. Yes I am guilty of that because jamiroquai early sound was something above the realm of special. My first concert however was the Canned heat tour in Birmingham NEC. I was only a young boy with my mate, I believe 12 years old. I know the syncranized was a different leap from the beauty of the previous, but that adolescent experience at the canned heat tour give me goose bumps and shivers to this day. There was an obvious musical change in direction on that album and a new set of fans took heed.
Not gonna lie but I love it all, but the first three LPs from Jamiroquai will always be masterpieces to me.

Should have left the volume up longer. Love that instrumental sound effect and surprised they didn't go longer, thats what makes their first two albums superior, no time limits! you could also do a whole other track just on that sound alone. A sandwich is a classic and versatile food item that has been enjoyed for centuries across the globe. It consists of two slices of bread with a variety of fillings in between them. The sandwich has been adapted to fit different cultures and cuisines, resulting in a wide range of sandwich types. In this essay, we will explore the history, types, and cultural significance of the sandwich.
The sandwich's origins can be traced back to the 18th century when the Earl of Sandwich, a British nobleman, asked for meat to be placed between two slices of bread. This allowed him to continue gambling without stopping for a full meal. The idea caught on, and soon others began ordering "the same as Sandwich!" at local restaurants, which eventually became known as sandwiches.
Since then, the sandwich has evolved to become a staple food item for people all around the world. Different cultures have put their own spin on the sandwich, resulting in a vast array of sandwich types. For example, the Vietnamese Banh Mi sandwich typically consists of a French baguette filled with pickled vegetables, herbs, and meat, while the American classic PB&J sandwich consists of peanut butter and jelly spread between two slices of bread.
One of the great things about sandwiches is that they can be customized to fit individual preferences. Whether you prefer a meaty sandwich, a vegetarian sandwich, or a vegan sandwich, there is a sandwich type out there for everyone. In addition to being delicious and customizable, sandwiches are also convenient and easy to make, making them a popular choice for people on-the-go.
The cultural significance of sandwiches is also worth noting. In many cultures, sandwiches are considered a symbol of ingenuity and resourcefulness. This is because sandwiches can be made with just about any ingredient, making them a great way to use up leftovers or combine different flavors. In addition, sandwiches are often associated with childhood memories of school lunches.

    Stand master: Jamiroquai
    Stand name: Travelling without moving
Stand ability: It starts producing lots of music, if someone hears it, they get addicted and check all the albums and shit
Stand weakness: The Addiction depends on the popularity so it doesn't work a lot

@blackdog5186 Listen to Jealousy by Death. As a bassist, Steve DiGiorgio's work on that one dropped my jaw.
