This track means business. Still fresh and dope as f**k. Been listening to Jamiroquai since I was 18. I'm 36 now. Sheeesh! "Hold me, control me. Let me circumnavigate your body, mind and soul". Some of JayKay's finest lyrical work.
What was the first Jamiroquai song or album that got you into Jamiroquai? Mine was Emergency On Planet Earth, my cousin played that album till the brakes fell off and I got hooked.
The level of smoothness of this song is out of this world and right at the 4 minute mark when it goes to the outro of the song, it feels like waking up from a dream, absolutely brilliant.
When i was 15 years old and got my first car, a 2003 Toyota Celica, i wanted to drive around with this song playing in my stereo. i remember i drove in the sunset while speeding through a urban road with this song playing. Thanks Jamiroquai for such a relaxing song
I sent my Dad a link on WhatsApp of another playlist. He says “ who’s this Jamiroquai fella ? He’s something “. Dad is 87 with slight dementia and lives in an old folks home. He’s been told to turn his music down twice in the last 3 weeks 😂😂. Dad loves jazz and got me into it as a kid. Never to old to find something special in life 👍
Definitely...Toby Smith R.I.P!!!...ur Band Jamiroquai & Music will Live on forever...no matter what ur going through just to this Band...We All Miss U Bro
I am approching 55 and have been listening to Jamarquoi since I was 21, the band are tight and this groove is timeless. Thank you Jay Kay for the music, the memories, the live performances and the positive vibes. ¥
Now and then I stumble upon a gem like this and can’t stop listening to it for months. “Everyday” has been on repeat for a week now. I drive to this song at nighttime which in my case means that I’m totally obsessed with it. Anyways, why tf can’t I find a live version of this?? It’s always the great songs that are underrated and don’t have a live version on TH-cam. Edit: It has been 7 months and I’m still listening to this every single day. Edit: It has actually been 10 months now and it still feels so good. I simply can’t get enough of it.
【Lyrics】 Yes, I do Baby, maybe, we can spend a little time together now that we're alone So long I have been waiting Now can't you let me take you home All these things we do Will make our dreams come true You want me, and I surely want you Tell me where to go Tell me what I need to know To take you on a little ride Hold me, control me Let me circumnavigate your body mind & soul Like a, seed from a flower I can grow and you must know Sadness, don't mean a thing Cos, you and me girl, you know we're in the swing All the things that I want to get with you on a midsummer night In the evening light (The) sweet evening light All these things we do Will make our dreams come true I want you, you want me, I surely need you, baby And so far what we've done Has made our love become Something more than Evening light to make it right All, all I want from you baby, is sweet loving you No, I know, yes, I know I know what I want from you girl, We can make it right We can hold onto each other tight, Lose our inhibitions Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah Every little thing we do is good Every little thing you see is sweet Every little part of you I'd like to meet I want you girl, you know I want you I want you in the evening light
That Fender Rhodes and soulful bass!!! The legendary Jamiroqai!! Pure soul!! Pure musicians!! Pure orchestra!! The sound of the 70's!! A little bit of the sounds of Curtis Mayfield!! 👊🏽💯
Back here again. Listening to this during Lockdown III. Dreaming of happy times and dreaming of my Holly. Pure escapism ..... just drifting away with Jamiroquai, my favourite band of all time. ¥
A love of your own is my favorite slow jam of all time.. still. And if you listen to the beginning of the song the drums start off the same way in both songs
The music Is so calming and smooth I never even thought of it as a slow jam to use on a date or even for sex. I use it to go to sleep or whine down from a stressful day
People still think Jamiroquai is a person and not a group after all these years:::giggle:::that's what happens when their only exposure to them is that Virtual Insanity video with frontman Jay Kay alone in a shifting room. Then again, became pretty much the Jay Kay show after the Synkronized album (last one that still felt like the original lineup was intact, minus bass player Stu Zender who was kicked out during those recording sessions). If only they knew just how good they really had it back then... :-(
@@benjamincox4211 Something to do with him wanting to have more say in the writing credits and for good reason. I don't think Jay with his increasingly overblown ego took too kindly to that (hah), plus Stu also had a family to take care of at the time so there wasn't gonna be much work to be done with the group anyway. Sad because the Synkronized album originally featured HIM on bass (was actually gonna be titled 'Symphonized') before Jay had those tracks removed in favor of fill-in Nick Fyffe and longtime keyboardist Toby Smith (RIP) handling all the bass lines for a change.
My wife and I conceived our first child to this song. Seems with just a snap of a finger our kid is now in college. Thank you Jamiroquai! 👍

The trio of Zender-Smith-McKenzie were the core of the true Jamiroquai sound. Always held hope of a reunion one day. R.I.P. Toby Smith...

This is such an underrated song.
This song was the best love song of that Year .... It should've won a Grammy
Serious serious cut rite here one of the hottest I've heard in a minute with realness on the R&B Neo Soul tip
This song stops you in the middle of a conversation. I made everyone who likes good music, listen to this.
All I got to say is his voice is smooth silky ambience!
Omg one of my favorite songs by Jamiroquai. Brings so many memories back of my 1st love back in the '90's

Bought this album as a freshman in college at the student store. Best thing I ever bought on campus. And that's including my (mid)education.

【Lyrics】
Yes, I do
Baby, maybe, we can spend a little time together now that we're alone
So long
I have been waiting
Now can't you let me take you home
All these things we do
Will make our dreams come true
You want me, and I surely want you
Tell me where to go
Tell me what I need to know
To take you on a little ride
Hold me, control me
Let me circumnavigate your body mind & soul
Like a, seed from a flower
I can grow and you must know
Sadness, don't mean a thing
Cos, you and me girl, you know we're in the swing
All the things that I want to get with you on a midsummer night
In the evening light
(The) sweet evening light
All these things we do
Will make our dreams come true
I want you, you want me, I surely need you, baby
And so far what we've done
Has made our love become
Something more than
Evening light to make it right
All, all I want from you baby, is sweet loving you
No, I know, yes, I know
I know what I want from you girl,
We can make it right
We can hold onto each other tight,
Lose our inhibitions
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Every little thing we do is good
Every little thing you see is sweet
Every little part of you I'd like to meet
I want you girl, you know I want you
I want you in the evening light
It's 2021 and still listening. Like a fine wine that never dates.
THE BASS IN THIS IS BEAUTIFUL
The bass and the lyrics
I have loved this song ever since I heard it back in high school, back in the early or mid 90s! 💖
this song came out in '96.
Yes!! This was the album to have in the 90s.
Juste sublime! Seigneur j avais 17 ans! Jay plus qu une voix, un charisme superbe et sensuel!
There is no reason why this song isn’t the love theme to somebody’s movie.
Jamiroquai is my No,1 band forever.
“Everyday” is my most favorite song♥
I can't stop listening
Beautiful song
This is a jam if I’ve ever heard one
This song is so erotic. The little keyboard embellishments just add so much to it, especially the one after he sings "hold me."
“Controlll Meeee”
Sensual
I read your comment at the exact point in the song where that happens.
