I think those trap slimes would be brilliant as a craftable defense tool during bosses or events, Terraria has science and magic, but seeing those two combine into a homemade frankensteins monster to deal lethal ranged damage would feel like bringing more life to my battles

You can make jungle nowadays: water and dirt to make mud, eoc allows for evil seeds, dryad allows for purification powder. Corrupt/crimson the mud then purify it into jungle grass block.
Maybe we could use the trap slimes in the no-traps seeds or ftw. Another idea is that whenever a slime touches an item theyre able to pick up on the ground it grabs it. (Like when the slimes have hearts or money in their sprite) Thatd be kinda cool

Just one example from this video, I could not recall what the Golem Fist was. When you refer to items in these discussions, would it be much trouble to include a screenshot of the item tooltip to help have that context front and center?

First time commenting :D. When playing multiplayer, it is always frustrating to have parts missing from my map of places that my friend have already explored. I would like for something placeable that shares your map to other players (similar to the map in Corekeeper) so they do not have to go where you have been already just to get that part of the map discovered. Maybe an automatic-real-time function that what ever your friends discover on the map it discovers it for you as well.

I think the Harpoon is a very missed opportunity for a cool pre-hardmode tool that would help Melee builds close distance to target, think about it, Harpoon could actually pull enemies close Scorpion style and allow for quick work with any melee, would be especially useful against ranged enemies, i believe some people would even find it useful to pull harder hardmode enemies into traps that would surely make them perish. Would actually be a cool weapon instead of a boring ahh infinite ammo gun

If the dart slimes are going to replace every slime in Notraps, I think they could have a 0.1% chance to spawn in other seeds to potentially scare someone doing a hardcore run

I could feel those slimes in a mastermode situation, spawning in expert ftw/mastermode+ maybe different types of arrows shot out of the slime... suddenly getting hit with a flame arrow, or maybe a venom arrow as a gag
I would have the dart slimes be an uncommon enemy that can show up at cavern depth in normal seeds. Then in FTW, they can show up anywhere, but are still uncommon. Then in no traps, they should be able to show up anywhere, and be super common.
Imagine if some Terraria items/weapons had secondary effects if you right licked instead of left clicked? Like left click with the Harpoon does the regular attack it already does, but right click causes it to get stuck inside the next enemy it hits. Then it could either deal more damage over time like the Piranha Gun does, or it could take the enemy with it when it reels back in. Or it could grapple the player towards wherever it lands
i wouldn't even mind if they decided to just turn this update into 1.5 like they did with 1.3.6 tbh they've talked about it a lot and i know they want to make terraria 2 but it really looks like they want to do both at some point. in the end they should just do whatever they're passionate about though
slimes with traps could be a slime invasion event, like bomb trap slimes coming into to sap your stuff or boulder slimes dropping in from above. stuff like that, just artificer slimes coming to cause some trouble/damage.
I think those slimes would fit best in drunk seed. Or maybe there could be a "High" Seed where everything is just a mess. Maybe a mix of Drunk, Celebration MK10, and don't dig up seeds with all of those changing the way the world looks dramatically. That sounds like a goofy fever dream of a mix.
Having a whole new denomination of slime physics would be AMAZING. Toss it a helmet you get a town slime, toss it a sword it follows you and fights as your little buddy. Toss it a gun… well

Regarding the vanity swords; maybe just have it function exactly like an idle terraprisma with a different sprite.

I think the Harpoon is a very missed opportunity for a cool pre-hardmode tool that would help Melee builds close distance to target, think about it, Harpoon could actually pull enemies close Scorpion style and allow for quick work with any melee, would be especially useful against ranged enemies, i believe some people would even find it useful to pull harder hardmode enemies into traps that would surely make them perish. Would actually be a cool weapon instead of a boring ahh infinite ammo gun
actually a pretty sick idea, possibly it could be somewhat homing so when you're in caves or the jungle bats and hornets are a lot less annoying
@@nicknick493 and actually torreadoring high damage enemies like medusas, mimics, or unicorns, juking them, pulling them over only to dodge them and go the opposite way to make as much distance as possible in a short time. To be honest I was surprised they haven't done that

The slimes are definitely no traps. They have Dart Traps inside.
at this point I won’t be shocked if they pull a 1.3.6 and just make it 1.5
If the dart slimes are going to replace every slime in Notraps, I think they could have a 0.1% chance to spawn in other seeds to potentially scare someone doing a hardcore run

I could feel those slimes in a mastermode situation, spawning in expert ftw/mastermode+
maybe different types of arrows shot out of the slime... suddenly getting hit with a flame arrow, or maybe a venom arrow as a gag
I would have the dart slimes be an uncommon enemy that can show up at cavern depth in normal seeds. Then in FTW, they can show up anywhere, but are still uncommon. Then in no traps, they should be able to show up anywhere, and be super common.
the sword summon would be awesome
as a person who is almost always a summoner, any cool summoner stuff makes my life happier

Imagine if some Terraria items/weapons had secondary effects if you right licked instead of left clicked? Like left click with the Harpoon does the regular attack it already does, but right click causes it to get stuck inside the next enemy it hits. Then it could either deal more damage over time like the Piranha Gun does, or it could take the enemy with it when it reels back in. Or it could grapple the player towards wherever it lands
i wouldn't even mind if they decided to just turn this update into 1.5 like they did with 1.3.6 tbh they've talked about it a lot and i know they want to make terraria 2 but it really looks like they want to do both at some point. in the end they should just do whatever they're passionate about though

Those slimes at the end should spawn in the trap seed
slimes with traps could be a slime invasion event, like bomb trap slimes coming into to sap your stuff or boulder slimes dropping in from above. stuff like that, just artificer slimes coming to cause some trouble/damage.

I think those slimes would fit best in drunk seed. Or maybe there could be a "High" Seed where everything is just a mess. Maybe a mix of Drunk, Celebration MK10, and don't dig up seeds with all of those changing the way the world looks dramatically. That sounds like a goofy fever dream of a mix.
I was thinking the Dart Trap Slimes would be a thing for the "No Traps" seed
It also gives me the idea for the larger and more deadly "Cannon Slime"
Having a whole new denomination of slime physics would be AMAZING. Toss it a helmet you get a town slime, toss it a sword it follows you and fights as your little buddy. Toss it a gun… well
