Fantastic video. really love this longer more in-depth look at a dragon. I think shadow dragons work well as the sort of spy or mysterious character with PC not rely understanding what kind of dragon they are dealing with till they get into combat. It can be a really easy misdirect with a dragon silhouette not necessarily changing.
I agree. The mysterious aspects of the dragon really give a Dungeon Master the ability to mess with players. Especially with their affinity for stealth and stalking. Having the Players find signs of pursuit for days on end but never identifying the tail, combined with draconic silhouettes in the sky. Perfect for a nervous party.
This video really helped. I'll play a high elf transformed by the shadowfell (shadarkai stats) in a couple of weeks that wants to free and heal a former gold dragon turned shadow dragon now. It was really hard to get informations about how shadow dragons really think and act!

Run with half a brain this is the most dangerous of dragons, shy of the genius Obsidian dragons. I am writing a Fan Fic where my Blue Dragon ruler, High Priest of Tiamat, the one thing he is scared of is the Shadow Dragon Necromancer. If he ever starts to lose, he fly into the nearest town and breathes on the town square. Eff an army of Skeletons, instant army of Shadows. Then him and the town swarm the party. Mine of course combined natural talent to be a full Necromancer so it just gets worse.
I haven't covered the Concordant Dragons quite yet. I'm still stuck in the maelstrom of the Abyss working on some Demon videos right now but once I'm finished I plan on getting back to Planar Dragons.
Yes actually. 4th edition added 4 varieties of planar dragons that originate from the Elemental Chaos. The Blazewyrm, Dragon Eel, Tempest Dragon, and Pyroclastic Dragon. I have a video on the Pyroclastic Dragon (2 actually, one for the 3rd edition and one for the 4th edition) in my Planar Dragon playlist.
