Inj.octreoride can be given in acute pancreatitis as drug belongs to somatostatin analogue help to stop pancreatic secretion

I case of obese patient on ventilator few physician goes by actual body wt and keep tidal volume. So if pt is 90kg and IBW is 45kg what to follow. Please guide
