No singer like him, little guy with the biggest sound you’ve ever heard. Ultimate performer live and will never be matched, left us too soon but thank Steve for many hours of pleasure with that fantastic bluesy rock style that still makes me shiver.
I'm so happy to rediscover Marriott's genius. I always praised Marriott to my friends, who knew only his hit singles, and Steve Mariotte was noteworthy to anyone who'd listen to me. Thanks for your expertise. It's great!.
Thank you for this. Steve was such an amazing talent with an interesting life full of ups and downs, and of course, such a tragic end. He is my favorite rock hero. Very sad that so many younger folks have never heard of him. One of the greatest soul/rock voices. RIP 💔

Small Faces are a truly special band. Steve Marriott's songwriting partnership with Ronnie Lane, lead guitar skill and incredible voice are some of the main reasons for that. Ogden's Nut Gone Flake is a masterpiece. They are up there with the great bands of the 60's (The Beatles, The Beach Boys, The Rolling Stones, The Kinks, The Who, The Byrds, The Monkees and The Zombies).
Never heard of this young man before I’m so sorry he passed so young I had never heard him perform, I’m so sorry I didn’t. My deepest condolences, a very nice tribute as always. ❤
One of the best bands of the 60s . I lived in the shadow of the OGDENS factory in Liverpool which produced the nut flake tobbaco, anyway R.I.P Steve you were a Legend and didn't get the recognition you deserved 🎉
Great singer, guitarist, writer and actor. He had the personality to back it up as well. It’s a shame alcohol and drugs messed his life up. He was probably too sedated in bed to realise there was a fire or realised too late and was overcome by smoke. A terrible tragedy.
There's a great video's on TH-cam humble pie midnight special 1973 three songs, and Steve marriotts packet off 3 live camden palace , as well as being a fantastic vocalist was also a brilliant guitarist,Rip mate
Poor Steve so many things went wrong for him as a person and with his career. But we still love ya all out even if in your later years you had the worst hair cut ever seen!

He had a Real real rock voice he could of fronted a heavy metal band {I don’t like metal tbh) he was so underrated
We lost him too early. I learned about him in the late 90s. I always liked the Small Faces but never knew about him

@perrywarner648 well done . Exactly right -- unanswerable question : : : what caused that explosion of talent in the 60s❓️❓️
@@gordonely3591I know! As they say, there must have been something in the water.
humble pie,.. my favourite band

Me estoy enterando que murió Steve gran perdida un buen grupo y su música descanse en paz
Tin Soldier influential and never bettered.
Salutations from Kensington and Chelsea in West London. One of The Small Faces haunts. 👍
Thank you
I enjoyed the straightforward narrative of Steves life.
Only the the good die young rest in peace Steve Marriott
Thank you so much I'm so pleased you enjoyed it 🥰

no better vocalist IMO and Pie was a great live band. RIP Steve.
It's a sad story. He was so talented but like so many other music greats from my generation, he chose to party it away and die stupidly and young.
Dam I have to go to work but something to look forward to when I come back.
Have a lovely day and thank you 🥰
Not bad

Not my cup of tea but what a life
Jimmy Page wanted him for Led Zep but his manager Don Arden told him leave him alone if u want to keep your fingers lol.
It's ok, Robert stole his lyrics for Whole Lotta Love.
👀 Humble 🥧 w/ unc Ted!
Steve was a drunk .. he took a fancy to my old friend and would come over at 7am drinking scotch.. pretty good guitar player
Steve formed the Georgia satellites and lived in Atlanta for years … anyone remember ?
Sounds like you was jealous Michael brilliant guitar player and vocalist,
@@mikeowen1192 I was mike steve was talented … guitar players were like Gods to me at that time .. bourbon man myself.
