During the Haines-Saldate match in overtime, Haynes is on top trying to keep Saldate down, and the commentators keep saying “Haines is trying to get the take down…” do they mean mat return? Then they were talking about near fall points when Saldate wasn’t even on his back. hoping to get that near fall point”? What near fall? Saldate wasn’t on his back.
They spent like 5 whole minutes talking about the officials were reviewing a potential back point when they were reviewing the locking hands. Then the guy saw Haines with his hands locked when both were on their feet and was like “well it looks like this one won’t get overturned”
I’m with you! You would thing at a school with over 51,000 students, you could find 2 who were knowledgeable about wrestling and can speak into a microphone. Apparently not. So brutal listening to these two I turned the sound off.😢
My favorite was when Bartlett took down Hamdan and threw him to his back for three backpoints. The announcer said "two 3-point takedowns, back to back for Beau Bartlett". Imagine that, two takedowns back to back without an escape. Pure magic!

The commentators had no clue what they were talking about, camera work was far from good, none of the stats were correct before the matches…I mean is is hard to find commentators who actually wrestled rather than 2 goons who had a quick run through of the rules 10 minutes before the match?

I’m glad to see Carl wrestling kids to get them exposure….Barraclough is tough, as is Josh Barr. I can’t wait to see full rosters against Iowa and Ohio State. I’m hoping Carter and Kasak are back for Maryland.

This year that have Four #1's, (Haines, Starocci, Brooks, Kerkvliet); One #2 (Bartlett); Two #5 (Truax, Nagao); One #10 (Kasak); One #5 or 6 (Mesenbrink); One will be somewhere in the top 10 on Tues (Davis).
