Forgot to include one important step when reading the ESC through s.bus. Before you are able to read the ESC data through the s.bus adapter or TAO, you must put the ESC into Link mode first by holding the right side SET button on the ESC until it lights up red. - Mitch
Just made the switch from hobbywing xr10pro/d10 to xarvis/rad with 10px. I have everything finally to update it all. Big tuning sesh later this week! This is perfect timing boys! Let’s hope I can follow directions haha
Thanks for this tutorial. At some point it will be useful when the next updates are released. I had just updated this all earlier in the week. The only issue I typically have is setting the initial settings for throttle endpoints. I think I miss it on the initial power on and then it doesn't like my attempts
Just got my xarvis xx , thank you for the tutorial.this is really helpful for us .running last test with my current hobby wing ESC before I replace it with xx. Much appreciated 👍 Happy drift😁
Just incase anyone is having a problem with your tx finding the rx update file make sure you clear your micro sd card of any futaba files then unpack the futaba folder in the rx update file and only copy that futaba file onto your micro sd card and then make sure your receiver is paired with the tx all of this is per futaba
I know this is probably too old, but I connect mine and then it goes green and immediatelly goes red. It goes green and show me the current firmware but then go to red. Any Ideas of what I am doing wrong? It does the same when I try to update my Sbus, goes green for 2 sec shows the version and then red.
so, when i turn the esc on after the usb adapter state is green and everything is good, the device state doesnt turn green and my esc lights are solid blue on power and orange on set
great video, although just missing the throttle endpoints set up. its just for the guys who dont know how to calibrate the throttle endpoints, how do you do it? that should be included in the "definitive" setup guide.
Great video! I do have one question. Does the Sbus link cause interference with the G550 gyro link or Sbus servo link? I have issues with the castle Sbus telemetry link and the Futaba links.
@@flatlander7288 It should not. I typically haven’t had any interference issues using the GYD550 gyro with Acuvance on s.bus. I do not have any experience using Castle’s s.bus equipment.
I have a gensace 2s 130c 5100 with bullets or I have Spektrum 2s 50c with IC5 but i have adapaters for both to be connected to my receiver. Will those work? I don’t wanna damage my new receiver.
Thinking of doing drift build number two and I’m 💯 going with acuvance and futaba. Yes it’s expensive but time saved tuning your build is so simplified. Not to mention if you have a futaba servo and gyro it can all be done from your transmitter. Once you update everything no need for a pc again. Oh I can’t wait😂
Hi Mitch, I’m having issue with the wiring management on my Mc1. Would you please share a bit Mine SBUS wire a bit short to reach the receiver I’m running Xarvis xx, SBUS,with fledge air cooled motor Much appreciate it Thank you 🙏
I have an issue with the mc-link part. I have: T4PM version 5,10 Xarvis xx version 2,2 R334sbs receiver still on version 4. (Don’t have the tools to update yet) When i select Xarxx; W-les and press read it say com error. Is it because my R334sbs is not version 5? Or is there another issue I should look for?
As a general rule 13.5 is for small tracks. The surface adjustment is mostly tires and shock tuning. Or pinions. The motor "size" tends to be determined by track size. If your not sure, go 10.5.
It's just irritating that after buying the more expensive electronics I still have update each product individually and buy another $200 in adapters and plug ins and a separate battery just for updating. It would be easier to follow if you didn't switch back and forth between transmitters as it is harder to follow. The videos would be shorter and you get more videos.
Once you get a grasp on the update process it gets pretty easy to setup. It's the only way they can get everything to communicate with each other properly for now. Technology advances quickly though so we'll see what the future brings.
yeah this is honestly pretty ridiculous. the "what you must pay, and do" does not match the "what you get"... the price and complication is unnecessarily exponential to the experience. Simpler setups will be 90% as enjoyable as this
I did not see any update information for the 4GRS to confirm MC ESC link compatability and listed ESCS for the MC ESC link in the manual for the 4GRS do not include the Futaba Acuvance equivalent MC970-CR ESC so I would assume the 4GRS does not work to link to Acuvance.

Very useful tips!!!!! Thank you

How do you pair the gyd550 with the Acuvance through sbus

cant you just plug the sbus adapter directly into the pc updater? looks like the smaller conversion cable is pointless. timeline 13:08.

@ Thanks. Looking into another chassis. I might give Acuvance a try this time around.
@@flatlander7288 It’s a good setup. Very smooth, very convenient to tune with lots of parameters to adjust to your liking.

Hi Mitch,
I’m having issue with the wiring management on my Mc1.
Would you please share a bit
Mine SBUS wire a bit short to reach the receiver
I’m running Xarvis xx, SBUS,with fledge air cooled motor
Much appreciate it
Thank you 🙏
The standard wire that comes with the s.bus adapters are pretty short. Acuvance has longer cables up to 300mm available for this.
Excellent💯
Hello and great video. In order to have control of the gyro and the esc from a 7PXR do you absolutely need that splitter?
I have an issue with the mc-link part.
I have:
T4PM version 5,10
Xarvis xx version 2,2
R334sbs receiver still on version 4. (Don’t have the tools to update yet)
When i select Xarxx; W-les and press read it say com error.
Is it because my R334sbs is not version 5? Or is there another issue I should look for?
Solved the issue. Forgot setup mode on esc
Hey i need some help i update remote but wen i go update receiver it keeps saying file not found i s404 receiver
I just commented the fix for this
What size motor do you run? Been considering the acuvance setup but torn between 10.5 and 13.5. I’m on painted polished concrete surfaces.
As a general rule 13.5 is for small tracks. The surface adjustment is mostly tires and shock tuning. Or pinions.
The motor "size" tends to be determined by track size. If your not sure, go 10.5.
XarvisXX does not show the engine temperature, why could this be?

Sweet ....
I love the convenience. But this is a very lengthy process AND ACUVANCE really needs to streamline this process ASAP.
Once you get a grasp on the update process it gets pretty easy to setup. It's the only way they can get everything to communicate with each other properly for now. Technology advances quickly though so we'll see what the future brings.
@@RollingGarageRc Just make everything updateable via transmitter. One way to rule them all...

Guys, please ship to Canada!!!! We would pay for the extra shipping costs!
Hasn't sanwa been doing this for a while now, on the fly programming?
Yes you’re right but Sanwa is not nearly as popular in the RC drift world as Acuvance/Futaba right now.
Does this work on a Futaba 4GRS, it's the stick version of the 4PM.
